The hotel was very nice, but with the price you would expect a few more perks. Everything costs, including the morning paper. If you are going to an Astros game the location is hard to beat, right across the street from the stadium.

We had soccer tickets for Saturday and baseball tickets for Sunday, so we decided to make a weekend of it. The Inn at the Ballpark was perfect. The staff was friendly, the hotel is beautiful and ideally located. We'll be back!

Overall it was great, had some trouble checking in, the front desk was confused about what name the room was under and it was a huge hassle to get that figured out. With such a late check in, I was also surprised there was not a better bag service.

Haven't checked in yet, but when I pulled up to the valet, he had a list and knew I was staying there after giving my name. Staff was super friendly. Place was clean and looked nice. Very much enjoyed the stay

Overall this was a very nice hotel. We would have preferred a room that had windows to the surrounding downtown area and not the interior of the hotel. Additionally the lack of a continental breakfast was another huge downfall. Since the $15 breakfast was worse than most of the complimentary breakfasts I have had. I give this hotel an 8 out of 10.

The inn was very comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. We thought that downtown Houston would have things to do without having to move car. Wrong. There is not much downtown to do or eat. It caters to the mon- fri crowd from 8-5. You can walk to places but the wAlk is a little far and we didn't consider it safe to walk since we were females. […] Otherwise the inn was very baseball themed and pleasant . The Inn at the Ballpark was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The services was first class and this is coming from a long haired biker that most staff would just ignore because of my looks. I will definitely stay there the next time I am downtown.

The staff was exceptional. They were friendly and knowlegable and eager to help. The only down side of this hotel is there isn't really anything nearby except the ballpark. Odd to me for a downtown hotel. It was well appointed, clean and well run.

We were told by the Expedia Rep. that self-parking was available. The valet front door staff were quite adament that self-parking was not an option. We were offered no assistance in unloading the car, and the parking supervisor demanded the keys while we were checking in. (It was around 1:30 P.M. when we checked in and there were no cars or people in […] the entrance. There was plenty of metered parking directly across the street, and the valet staff warned me in unpleasant terms that parking there was illegal and dangerous.) We did park across the street and had no problems. It was a very unpleasant beginning to what turned out to be a most enjoyable stay. Every other member of the staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. We were particularly enamored with the lobby and room decor. It was very warm and inviting. My brother and I needed a place to stay after a concert we attended. This was the place we picked, and very glad we did! The rooms are nice, the service was great (free ride to House of Blues), staff was very nice. I've stayed at other hotels downtown, this is now one of my favorites.

I travel alot and while I love a 5 star hotel just as much as the next guy I dont like to spend too much on a room when I know Ill pretty much just be there for sleep. This hotel is by far one of the nicest I have stayed at as far as the room is concerned. The rooms were very clean and oh so comfortable. I wouldn't have guessed it from the pics. The staff treated us to first class service from the time we arrived at the valet stand until we checked out. When we checked in, the clerk advised us about the hotel shuttle. We decided to use it instead of driving to the game. I called down from the room to have the valet bring the car around so I could get our tickets and another bag we left. The […] valet offered to just get our items and even bring them up to the room if we preferred. The shuttle service was very efficient and was definitely the way to go. Very close to Minute Maid Park and Annunciation Catholic Church. It is a bit away from a lot of everything else downtown but not terribly far (a few blocks before it gets really downtowny). It did seem a bit understaffed and empty since I was there during the non baseball season.

Clean well appointed rooms. Free wi-fi. Right across the street from Vic and Anthony's steakhouse. Stayed at the Hyatt, Magnolia, and the Inn at the Ballbark over the course of four weeks. Liked the Magnolia for its free buffet breakfasts and large garden tubs. Hyatt was nice but did not like their pillows and usually a line for everything, particularily […] their brkfst buffet. I liked the Inn for its clean rooms and it seemed the newest. Beds and linens were comfortable. Nice sitting and desk area in room but its not a separate room. great hotel for a fan of any sport. the shuttle ride to the downtown corridor is a huge plus since parking can be a real hassle in houston. the cafe was great and vic and anthony's restaurant was as good as billed. I got a great deal at hotels.com that made it as cheap as staying at the embassy suites.

Stayed in a Corner Suite. Nothing special. No refrigerator, microwave, or dishes. Valet parking is mandatory. It was nice, but overpriced!!

This hotel is right next to Vic and Anthony's Steak House and super close to the ballpark, hence the name. Our only complaint was the bathtub not draining and the help dismissing our complaint.
