was actually able to reserve a smoking room which was great. arrived late at night and there was nobody on duty at front desk, so I had to call to get someone to open front door. bathroom was nice and spacious as was room. Included lazy boy recliner which was a bonus. nice to have dishes, silverware and cups for use.

The rooms were fine. However the beds were like concrete, the shower was cold in the morning and the heating was either way too hot or too cold. Employees at the counter were friendly and helpful, but the beds and showers did it for me. Wouldn't stay there again.

There was a red scum on the showerhead which I had to clean off before I could shower. There were hairs on my sheets - brown - my hair is blonde - carpets need cleaning - pillows seem to be plastic encased. Noisy, lumpy, uncomfortable. Very raucous clientele. Not a restful night's sleep.

Got to stay one night due to power outage. Rates were terrific. Kitchen was nice to have. Room was clean. Service was great. The negatives....bed was horrific so uncomfortable, write up with bad back pain. Only two tiny pillows on bed. Air conditioner was so loud it kept me awake. However I was still grateful to have a warm place to stay.

I fell getting into the shower, put one foot in and went flying- hit my back on the edge of the stall. The hotel said the shower was brand new. The shower floor surface was exceptionally slippery. I purchased a shower mat & was reimbursed from petty cash. I would not have reserved the room with king size bed if I had known it had only a shower. The floor of the bathroom in the second room was very dirty- looked like someone had trimmed their hair and the hairs were clinging to the toilet base. Not satisfied. Tub dirty, but front desk cleaned it after I brought it to their attention and tried to clean it myself. This facility is only meant for long term business travelers on a budget. It lacked even the most basic amenities and services of an economy hotel.

although this hotel was not the state of the art they still had no excuse to allow the property to be kept as it was. The staff was not rude but not friendly, the grounds had broken containers in front of the building, a beer can was thrown outside af the entrance. A man was spotted in the lobby running around naked, the carpet in the room was dirty, […] no paper products cups etc no ice makers at all not even a soda machine/vending machine, the utensils included one dirty looking mug and a dirty looking plastic cup and a dirty looking ice tray, the bed was as hard as brick which creeked when you sat on it given clues of how old it had to be the linen looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in over ten years not to mention the cloth chair that looked like it was a science speciman and last no one stated that the front desk closed at 11pm (thank goodness we got there before that). This was the worse place we've ever stayed and would never stay there again nor reccommend it to a pet. Read more

While we live only 10 miles away, we spent a night at the Extended Stay America hotel Allentown-Bethlehem because of bad weather and a need to be at a nearby hospital early the next morning. The clerk was very friendly and the hotel was a bargain at the price quoted by hotels.com. But the pillows were unbelievable! It was a queen size bed, but the pillows […] were for midgets, and they were very lumpy. One was small, the other one was smaller! Needless to say, we did not get much sleep that night. I enjoyed my over night stay at this hotel very much. I saved money on food because i was able to prepare my own meals with the kitchenette they offerend in the room. There was no disturbance by any other guest and the staff was very helpful with directions to the Sands Resort and Casino. I have nothing but good things to say about my stay here.

Overall the hotel was really rather nice. I am not sure though who is a fault for what happened. I booked what I thought was going to be a"non-smoking" room thru hotels.com, however, when I checked in, that's not what I got. When I went to the front desk to explain that I could not stay in a smoking room due to sinus/asthma problems the clerk told me […] that there were no other rooms available. Said the most she could do was offer me a voucher for a free night. I told her that was a nice offer but where was I suppose to sleep in the mean time? She then told me "when booking thru hotels.com, they take your request but you get what the hotel has at the time you check in". I'm not sure I believe that as I have never had a problem before. Fortunately I also had booked a room for my sister & her husband who did get a non-smoking room. The desk clerk called them to see if they would be willing to switch rooms. They agreed & came back to the front desk so we could change rooms & check-in information. When the clerk asked if there was anything more she could do I suggested maybe we could still be compensated with the "free night" offer for the inconvenience but I guess her reply of "have a good night" & then walking away was a no. The room was bare bones. Bed was not comfortable. Price was ok until they charged us a very high pet fee per pet.... we had 3 dogs with us. The pet fee was almost as much as the room charge.... ridiculous! Some of the people "living" in the hotel were a bit scary. However, the location was very convenient.

I was pleased with the staff, especially Christine, who checked me in and called my room to see if everything was okay. I got a good night sleep. They had coffee but no tea. I have to remember to bring my own tea in the future. Easy on & off the highway.

A lamp and the TV didn't work, the coffee pot lid was missing so unable to use until one could be located, and the telephone wasn't working properly, so no messages could be left.
