This is one of the cheaper, cleaner hotels I found that was close to Fisherman's Wharf and other spots we wanted to be near. The room was very simple and clean. The room was actually quite big as well. The location was also great. My only complaint about the hotel was that it was very loud during the night. Guests would come in at all hours of the night and be extremely loud. The Inn on Broadway was clean and the staff was friendly. Considering the busy area, our room was pretty quiet. The bed was really comfortable! My only complaint is the lack of staff knowledge regarding use of public transport. We were unfamiliar with that area of SF and were without a car. We asked for help to reach fairly common venues (ATT Park, […] Golden Gate Park), and the staff seemed as unfamiliar with the bus system as I was. If you know the bus routes, the Inn does appear to be conveniently located (we learned as we went!) We also asked about a nearby market and were directed to a large grocery store several blocks away. Disappointing, we had to use the internet a lot and it stopped working many times. Elevator was horrible, too noisy and scary, Would not give us a refund for no internet. Room was clean, and had a fridge tho.

Not only was this place run down and filthy, but they had me sign a credit card slip for $25 even though it was paid for in full from Hotels.com. I will sleep in my car in an alley before I stay there again.

This location was the best for our needs! Needed a nice large king after a whole day out on the city watching the Giants lose, that was the only disappointment of the day. I expected more for the $$ we paid. For only a few dollars more, you can do much better on the wharf. This place is far from most attractions. It is clear they are trying to upgrade the decor, newer carpet and flat screen tv's. Unfortunetly the bathrooms are in dire need of attention. The vanity had missing tiles in the countertop, the shower was clean […] but so old it looked dirty. The bedding was dingy at best and the mattresses uneven and needing replacing. Basic room with 2 beds. We had a fridge and a microwave and 1 dinning room chair sitting by itself in a corner. Couldn't quite figure that one out. No soaps or anything so bring your own. The Inn on Broadway is a great place to stay for the money. The rooms are smaller, not fancy but very clean and tidy and have good-sized TVs and wifi. Parking is free but limited - I would suggest that as soon as you can get a spot in the hotel garage, leave your car there and travel by foot or cab. If you return in the evening you most likely will […] not be able to park at the hotel and will need to find an alternative. Most sights in San Francisco are an easy walk or short cab ride so leaving your car is not a big deal. This is an older hotel and is a bit tired but for the cost it was a pretty good deal. The beds were OK, certainly not pillow top but comfortable. They do have a wonderful restaurant which has amazing Eggs Benedict.

Very seedy area. The staff was friendly and helpful, but that can't make up for the uneasiness we felt while staying there. Very little parking: we ended up having to park in the disabled parking and leaving our key with the front desk in case they had to move it. Door lock deadbolt was broken. Wi-Fi must have been overloaded.

There was NO Wi Fi connection. I had to visit the Starbucks on Polk Street. This is an older hotel with worn glazing on tub. The tile on sink had shifted to show an inch gap, from where it originally was installed. On the positive side, the parking is free, and the room A/C unit worked. Also, the location is excellent.

When I woke up in the morning, I didn't find bedbug bites. So, that was something. This is a pretty run-down motel, but it was the best I could find in the week that I was there. The bus service from there is pretty good, so you can get to a lot of places from there.
