Days Inn Scranton PA - Dickson City

This was my second stay in Days Inn. For the price of the rooms I don't believe you can beat the quality of the stay. It's affordable and in a good location for traveling to wherever you need to go. Overall the hotel had a friendly staff that was quick to get everything done, and the room service option from the on-site bar was affordable and delicious. The hot is VERY OUTDATED and the hotel was dirty! The rooms smelled horrible and everywhere you went it smelled like cigarette smoke!!! I was VERY DISSATISFIED and will NEVER recommend that hotel to anyone....

The hotel is a cpl miles off the highway buy I have slept well everytime I've been there (4 nights now) Lota of places close to eat. I drove til midnight juat to get back here because I knew what to expect. Will return again.

Stayed overnight on business, lots of amenities for the price, and the bed was VERY comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was a must, and it was driving distance from any restaurant or diner you could want.

The hot tub and pool area was dimly lit and the glass roof was dripping some cold water from the snow outside as it must be leaking. However the hot tub area was clean and nice otherwise. Our room was excellent. No issues with room or staff!

The hotel is not new, but in a great location. It is close to everything. There is even a bowling alley right across the parking lot. The kids love the indoor pool too. The breakfast could use a little help. Not much to pick from.

It was decent. It had a weird smell when I first walked in. They left a dirty washcloth in the bathroom on the shower curtain rod they must of missed it. But still wished it wasnt left there. Breakfast was ok. I would stay again there it wasn't bad as what I thought it was after reading other reviews about it.

There was a bad odor in the lobby when we came in, but the smell in the elevator was indescribable. If the room had not been non-refundable, I would have turned around and left. Overall we were comfortable and it is a great location close enough to the action but far enough to not be bothered by traffic. Its a little old and needs an update. Massage head on the shower felt great. They have a restaurant and a bar. On the first night we stayed we went to the bar for some drinks and they had live music. Our room was on the same side as the bar and although our windows were not open we could clearly hear everything (not loudly). After reading other reviews I can say that they're pretty accurate. I thought the room was decent and the bed was super comfortable. I stayed in a smoking room and there was no air flow... no bathroom fan and of course you can't open a window either. You can hear the music from the bar downstairs at night when you're trying to go to sleep and the parking […] lot is horrible at night because of the bar. Just remember, you get what you pay for and with that being said it was good. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars overall because of the price and location. I would stay here again in the future. Large room but bed was shoved up against one wall which made it hard to get in and out of. We only needed a place for a night while on the road. It was a little out of the way for I81 South but it was close to restaurants.

My family and I were looking for a place to stay due to power outages following Hurricane Sandy. As hotels in ur area quickly filled we pounced on a room at the Days Inn since they had availability and the price was agreeable. The online pictures depict a newer establishment than what you will see upon entering the building. The years haven't been kind. […] Our room smelled like cigarettes despite being non smoking and there were chips of paint along the floor that seemed to be falling due to prolonged water damage to the ceiling. The parking was awful with tractor trailers parking across most of the parking spaces instead of the trailer parking designated behind the building. The place was dated which I wouldn't have minded if it were clean. The bathroom came w hair in the shower and mold in the ceiling. In the morning the shower didn't work so we had to move to another room to shower. That bath room also came w it's own hair in the shower. The woman at the desk was very nice. Their was a flyer in the room w recommendations […] for local attractions. One included an Add for a massage parlor that offered a discount if you brought you hotel key card w you. This is a fair hotel for people who aren't real fussy about cleanliness or odor. I would prefer splashes to be wiped off the walls rather than left for the next guest, and a clean shower curtain would be nice. Smoking doesn't seem to be under control and is masked by Febreeze.

We had a smoking room, but I have to say, if there was one sign that this hotel does it right, then this was the sign. When we walked in, there was no smell of smoke or any other undue odors. The room was perfectly cleaned and setup. The staff was friendly and helpful and our stay (overnight) couldn't have been better. Good job!
