Room was very comfortably and clean. However it is a little bit expensive for what it offers. I imagine these prices are the standard of the West Yellowstone town. Next door to the hotel there is a nice pizzeria with nice food.

Great location - 5 mins drive from West Entrance to the park - most downtown West Yellowstone . Its OK to rest after a Long day in the park but has no modern amenities like pool sauna or internet. For the price they could also have included a small breakfast.

The location was good. The size of the room was good. However, the carpet was very dirty. The corners in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned too well. And the TV didn't work.

Nice motel, easy access from Yellowstone Park. Not "top of the line" but adequate. Only real problem was although the in-room brochure listed about 40 TV channels, there was only 3 that we could get. No pool, sauna, or other amenities, but OK for a good night's sleep.

This motel is about 5 minutes drive from the west entrance of the park. Our room is on the first floor. The walls are thin but it did not bother us since we were very tired after a whole day of driving, watching, walking and photographing. We did not have hot water for shower for the first night and the next night I was suggested by the receptionist […] to take a shower a little earlier before a tour group came back. And we did have hot shower for the next two days even at 10pm. They provide shampoo and bathing bar and body lotion, but no tooth paste. So we had to get one from the gas station nearby. My room was very comfortable and clean, enough towels and the gentleman that checked us in was able to direct us to a good restaurant. My son had the room on the street side and it was noisy, other than that the room was comfortable.

As I am not allowed to list room rate in this area. I can only say that walk-in rate is much cheapter than booking in advance. Don't take this hotel. Expedia should also blacklist this hotel to save its business image.

Two run-down motels under one management. The only person at the counter day and night was from Moldavia, and his English was not quite adequate. It's a 2-star hotel. But, we're stuck in a room on the first floor that's near the street. There's no one there to check out. Coffee maker was missing in the room and they had to bring us one and they told us to bring the coffee maker back to the front desk when we check out. (I believe they're afraid we would steal it, what an insult !)

It was definitely just a place to lay your head. Absolutely no amentities! The ice machine is across the street. Took forever to get an extra set of towels - "housekeeping" was too busy texting. We had to get it ourselves. But the place was clean. However, I would not stay there again.

Yellowstone is an expensive park to visit. We chose the Dude/Roundup because it was one of the cheaper hotels in the area. It was pretty average for what you get an an inn of this type. The beds were alright and there was a good amount of noise from people going up and down the stairs. Additionally, the walls were on the thinner side (maybe this place […] isn't the best for children...), but the fact that was right next to the west entrance to yellowstone made it more than worthwhile. I would definitely recommend the dude/roundup to hikers or sightseers looking to save a buck or two. Read more

I rate hotel rooms by the condition of the bathroom and quiet the heating/cooler system is. On both accounts, this hotel certainly failed my expectations. The tile was cracked, the wood trim had a sloppy paint job, and the temperature of the water in the shower would heat and cool randomly. this hotel is in good location, just next to west yellow stone gate, all the general stores and restaurant is in walkable distance. For sleeping purposes 2-3 nights hotel is good. But not much cleaned and rooms smell was not good.

Quite expensive for the standard, this place is all about location just outside the gate at Yellowstone. I have stayed in better quality places for a lot less over recent months. When you go out for breakfast empty your room! We left at 8 got back by about 9 and the cleaning staff were already in. Good for one night!

This hotel is probably one of the worst I have every stayed in - in my entire life - and I have stayed in thousands of hotels! The rooms are broken down, disgusting and dirty - and not to mention the paper thin walls. Do not come here if you want to sleep - we had to call the police at 2:30am to stop noisy neighbours next door - there was no one in […] the reception to help (surprise surpirse...). Customer service is non existent and the extremely rude and arrogant little "boy" in reception has a Napoleon complex. Forget trying to speak to the "manager" - she does not care one iota about here customers and is, in fact, never at the hotel! The toilet was blocked and sewage overflowed into the bathroom - guess who had to clean it up? My wife and I - that is the kind of "service" you can expect in this "hotel"! Stay here at your peril! This place was OK, clean and tidy, although we found the staff were rather impersonal. I can't believe in this day and age they have no wireless internet. Very poor - and the only motel without it during our trip to the US.
