Krabi Thai Village Resort - Krabi

My wife and i just returned from staying a week at Thai Village and we were moderately pleased. The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms and grounds are in good condition and are nice. I booked this place mostly because unlike many hotels in thailand, this one could guarantee a king size bed. The bed turned out to be hard as a rock and we barley slept, […] but we complained and they bought us a very thick mattress topper the next day so we were happy. The hotel is a bit away from downtown and it is about a 10 minute walk, so just keep that in mind. The restaurant is nothing special and a bit overpriced and the breakfast buffet is very basic, but it will fill you up. The staff does not speak english very well so be patient with trying to communicate with them. Overall this is a nice place to stay, but it is a bit inconvenient and I would recommend staying closer to the beach, but it was a pleasant, quiet stay in a very nice, safe area. Read more

We had an awesome time here. Everyone was always nice. They even have a bunch of DVDs at the front desk that you can rent for free for the rainy days or if you just feel like hanging out in your room. It's a short 10 min. walk to the beach and main market area. Seemed scary at first but once you get to know the area it's perfectly normal. We think this was possibly the nicest hotel at Ao Nang Beach near Krabi. About a 10 min easy walk into town. Great shopping and lots of choice for day trips. Some nice places to eat over the road. Amazing swimming pools. We loved our stay there.

The Krabi Thai Village Resort is fabulous. Impressive and well maintained. Manicured gardens, 3 beautiful pools with a swim up bar, pool and play area for the kids.The artificial grass around the pool gets hot. We were also lucky to get the bed configuration we wanted being 2 queens and getting your preferred bedding is never guaranteed at any hotel even if you selected the preference when booking.We were there in the low season which was a great time to go. The wifi is charged for at around $50 AUD for 1 week or around $10 AUD daily. The connection was not reliable. We had breakfast included and had no complaints with the usual selections available in a full buffet style.The staff and service was very good.There is a walk into Ao Nang beach,shops restaurants,night life. We never had a problem with that and if we didn't feel like the walk or it was too hot a local tuk tuk was between 40 & 60 baht which based on the rate exchange of the day was about $1.80 AUD. During our stay we looked at the hotels along the beach front of Ao Nang and we were satisfied we had made a very good choice in the Krabi Thai Resort. Read more

Good value hotel, enough choice at breakfast for all tastes. Good sized room with fridge and tea/coffee facilities.Beds very firm. Only 3 floors but no lifts so may not suit all. Lovely pool area with plenty of towels. Staff in all areas helpful.

Very nice hotel in pleasant, quiet grounds. Lovely swimming pool & lounging areas. AuNang village only 10 minute walk away ( or 20 BHT per person Tuk Tuk ride from outside hotel if your feeling lazy) & the beach & long tailed boats are all there for trips to the Islands etc. The hotel staff are very accommodating, especially 'Ohn' (?) the Manager who […] is very much on the ball & most helpful. Breakfast is good with the usual Buffett plus a good egg station for omelettes etc. Altogether a good hotel, away from the street noise & markets of AuNang but close enough to use the many good local restaurants, beach etc if you want. Excellent Value for money to stay at this hotel, it is a little tired and runned down, but I have no complaints except that the beds are extremley hard and the road down to the the main beach is no good if you have kids, we went in and out of the hotel by tuk tuk. I would stay again without kids

Familie på to voksne og barn på 19 og 15 tilbragte 13 netter på Krabi Thai Village i overgangen september/oktober 2011. Hotellet var fint og rent, og rommene store. Frokosten holdt bra standard med American breakfast inkludert i prisen. Treningsrommet var litt skuffende da begge ellipsemaskinene var ute av bruk, og styrkeapparatene var litt skrøpelige, […] men det var godt med manualer. Det ligger et hotell rett opp i gaten som hadde et mye bedre utstyrt treningsstudio med masse apparater og tredemøller med vindu ut mot gaten der besøkende kan trene for 200 Bath pr dag (ca 40 kr) Vi opplevde hyggelig service fra alle vi hadde kontakt med. Bassengområdet var bra, men kunstgresset de hadde lagt oppå dekket rundt ble fryktelig varmt når sola stod på, så bruk sandalene som hotellet låner ut gratis. Vi reiste i lavsesongen og hotellet var knapt 50% belagt, så det var god plass å boltre seg på. Hotellet var plassert litt utenfor sentrum, og det var en rusletur for å komme til butikkene og stranden. Dette var ikke noe stort problem, tidsmessig, men det var en plass for søppledumping ca hundre meter nedenfor hotellet man måtte passere, som var litt uapetittelig. Heldigvis stod det TukTuk'er rett utenfor hotellet, som koster 5 kr pr person for transport rundt i AoNang. Enkelt, rimelig og raskt. Hotellet lå tett inntil en skog, som gjorde at luftfuktigheten var ekstra høy når det regnet, men samtidig gjorde nærheten til skogen at vi fikk se kolibrier og også en liten varan som holdt til i noen trær rett utenfor hotellet. Eksotisk! Det norske turoperatøren Krabispesialisten holder til rett utenfor hotellet, og de kunne gi mange gode råd og tips om skredder, turer og annen relevant informasjon. Stort pluss! Read more

Hotelli on iso pakettimatkahotelli. Isot allasalueet, ihan kiva huone ja hotellissa on ystävällinen palvelu. Vähän syrjäinen sijainti. Aamupala ja ravintola ok, vähän hintava ravintola. Mielestäni samalla hinnalla voisi saada aidompaakin tunnelmaa.

Ero partito dall'Italia con diversi timori, rivelatisi infondati, siamo arrivati al Krabi Thai Village e tutto era come avevo visto sul sito...è vero il resort non era sulla spiaggia ma con 40tb circa 1 euro potevi raggiungere la spiaggia con Tuk Tuk o taxi posizionato bene perche a pochi minuti da spiaggia e area negozi era però immerso nel verde e […] tranquillissimo silenzioso e con personale tutto disponibile e gentile . Avevo letto del rumore dei condizionatori nelle stanze, in effetti vero anche se chi vive in citta come me dove giorno e notte c'è rumore di traffico forse il rumore sordo del condizionatore non da poi così fastidio. in effetti un po' caro per gli standard thai ma, per noi europei veramente economico.
