"Great hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This hotel was perfect for us. We were a group of 3 each had our own beds. It was very clean and comfortable, had free wifi, and provided good breakfast. The location was awesome right in the middle of old town and new town close to all the sights and tons of shopping. The people at the front desk were also very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
"Beautiful way to experience Prague"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
It was perfect. Service impeccable...Staff very friendly and accomodating .Hotel location nice and quiet after hustle of Old Town over the Charles Bridge. Our room opening onto the garden courtyard was wonderful. Breakfast out doors daily equipped with a mother duck sitting on 12 eggs, and the ducklings making their appearence before our departure. The whole trip was a ten!

"Across the street from the Czech Senate & park"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Friendly staff, quiet, nice view (nothing famous), walking distance to Charles Bridge and (across Vltava River) the Old Town.

**These amenities may be available only in some rooms or units. Some amenities may incur additional fees.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning in a breakfast room.
The hotel does not have a lunch/dinner restaurant, but numerous restaurants lie within a four-block radius of the hotel.
There are few recreational facilities within downtown Prague other than health clubs that offer aerobics and yoga classes, with some also including indoor courts for racquet sports. An ice-skating rink is formed in Old Town Square during winter. Running/walking paths lie along the Vltava (Moldava) River, and rowboats can be rented on the river during summer. On the other side (west) of the river, Petřín Hill, accessible from the Little Quarter (Malá Strana) via a funicular railroad, contains a network of parks for walking, jogging and cycling.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

The heart of the city, Stare Mesto's historic buildings are splendidly preserved. The focal point is the cobbled main square, on which stand the Jan Hus Monument, the Old Town Hall and its astronomical clock, and the Gothic spires of Our Lady of Tyn. Linking the Old Town with Mala Strana is the Charles Bridge with its gallery of saintly statues.

My stay at the Golden Tulip was very pleasant. From the outside, it doesn't look like much and the entrance looks a bit seedy. You push a button on the huge wooden door and it opens by itself like in the old TV Show the Munsters. But once inside, it's clean, the staff is very friendly. The receptionist spoke fluent English and the free breakfast was […] very nice. The kind of buffet, you'd pay 10 to 15 Euros for in Germany. Also, it's a 10 minute walk to the historic district. I'd happily spend time there again. Read more

Great hotel. Highly recommended.
"Gotta go"
Don't hesitate-Go to Prague! The hotel was fine, the desk staff all spoke english and were helpful. Stored our bags last day after checkout which was helpful. The train station to other European cities is literally a 3-5 minute walk. Felt safe returning at night late. Wireless internet was no problem and fast. Breakfast was fine with variety. Wasn't […] right in the center of town which was fine...everything is a short walk. Several small grocery stores 1 block away for supplies. Read more
"Close to train and old town"
nice clean hotel, parking is across the street (East, under the highway bridge) and has a 24h attendant so i felt my car was safe, the hotel also lets the first child stay free. breakfast included hot eggs and sausages in addition to the cold stuff - fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, and cheese/meats. the hotel does have an elevator for our heavy bags […] and everyone we contacted with from the hotel staff were always friendly and spoke excellent English. "Overall good Hotel"
Convienient location - near Main Train Station Basic Room - not too fancy but practical and clean Good and clan Bathroom Good Breakfast Within 25 min walk to Charles bridge on the lesser side - - front desk staff not too friendly - at night the surrounding neighborhood is dark and creepy - (but safe anyways)
"nice hotel, scary neiborhood"
the hotel was a gem in an older run down neiborhood. close to train. room big and clean. staff friendly and helpful. good breakfast.
"Great Value for the Money!"
The Hotel I felt was conveniently located for my purposes, partly business partly personal. Walking to all the sights is no problem and shops are close. American Breakfast at the hotel was great. Only downside was my room was a little tight and they only provided 2 small thin towels. Considering what I paid for a week and the staff, I would definitely […] stay here again if I had to go there on business again. I travel extensively for work so I always try and share my experiences... However always take everything with a grain of salt... Good Travels Read more
"Not in the heart of Prague, but not terribly far"
It is an old building and it isn't in the middle of everything, but it is in a good location for getting in and out of Prague via train and airport (airport bus is at the train station.) There is city noise, but the rooms have nice high ceilings and a pleasant feel for the price. The free hot breakfast buffet is also a nice plus. The staff were very […] pleasant and helpful and even though the neighborhood might not seem the safest appearance-wise, it really is. Read more
"Golden Tulip Prague Terminus - close to trains"
Hotel is a ten minute walk from the main train station. It is about a 15 minute walk from Old Town so it is in a good enough location. The neighborhood is safe but looks old and dirty. The hotel is great as soon as you enter. Rooms are bigger than 3 star hotels and the bath was bigger and nicer than many I have stayed at. It was definitely a great […] value for what I paid. "This hotel made my stay in Prague hassle free."
The hotel was very close to the train station, and easy to find. Short walk to old town Prague. The staff was polite and overall very pleasant. There was an older gentleman who was so kind and polite to everyone within range of him =) The room was very large for Europe, and it was extremely well lit! Pleasant surprise for me. Only downside is that the […] highyway is right by your window so you constantly hear vehicles, but it wasn't a problem for me, as I sleep fine with a little bit of background noise. Currency exchange is no charge at the hotel desk, incredibly convenient. Free breakfast for everyday of your stay, buffet style. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again. Read more

"Golden Tulip - Prague Terminus - very close to stn"
This Hotel is very comfortable. We stayed in a large family quadruple room, and breakfast was included. Very close to Prague main station, you can walk there if you do not have too much liggage to haul. Very close to the Old Town sqare and Clock Tower. Easy stroll down the main street Hyberneska. Prague was simply amazing with the castles, history and […] scores of souvenir shops, bohemian crystals. We did a Jazz Boat Cruise with Dinner, and it was a great experience. You can do one without the dinner as well. Read more

"Nice hotel for the price"
Everything was very nice, but I would not stay there in the Summer, because the A/C is not cold. We just opened the window in May and that was fine except for all of the car horns. They honk a lot.
"Nice for the money"
This hotel was 10 minutes walk from the historical center. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English! Room was small but clean. The only problem in this hotel is even if you do get non-smoking room, because of ventelation, your room smells like someone just smoked there.
"Awesome value"
The Golden Tulip is a terrific value for the price: great location within easy walking distance of Old Town, train/bus/metro, clean rooms, large bathrooms, and a very nice breakfast. Much nicer than standard European breakfasts. The only downside is that you're right next to a large highway, but my room was facing the road and we didn't hear any serious […] noise. Highly recommended. Read more

"Great room for the money"
Excellent breakfast buffet, proximity to train and subway stations, friendly and helpful staff, internet facility, comfortable room
"Great Room, Great Location"
The staff in the Gold Tulip Prague Terminus were extremely helpful and spoke and understood English well. Hotel was clean, with hot and cold breakfast options. Room had a more American than European feel to it (i.e. large bathroom, strong water pressure, adequate bedding, air conditioning). Location is great and is within 10-15 minutes walking distance […] of the Old Town Square. I was also able to walk to the Charles Bridge and Petrin Hill, although this took about 40 minutes, but there are plenty of sights along the way. Read more
"its a nice hotel which keeps a nice surprise"
When you look on the facade of the building you think...o well did i made a mistake...but after you have entered, nice clean hotel, good rooms. Only the breakfast fast not what i have expected (rolls of bread in the size of a fingernail). However, around the corner you are in the city centre from Prag.
"Praha"
it was a very nice hotel. the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. the beds were comfortable as well. the location was a little creepy at night, but within a couple minutes walk you are in the mix of prague. it is also close to a subway and train station for easy traveling. the was good for us since we were taking a train to germany from prague. […] i would definitely stay there again. Read more
"One of the best in Europe for the money"
This hotel is beautiful, very clean, has friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff and is air-conditioned. Our room was the largest hotel room we've seen in Europe, with a large bathroom and comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and excellent. Parking was secured, at a small fee. Within walking distance of most major attractions. Highly recommen […] ded. Read more
"Perfect Respite"
Although first impression is that this isn't the best location; it is. It is near the metro, train and bus stops. Even walking distance to most tourist attractions. The Hotel staff was great, very helpful and spoke english. Our room was quiet and relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind after very full days of sightseeing. Toward the end of our […] trip, one of us became ill and the staff was very helpful with providing some medications and with helping me find a pharmacy. They would have even arranged for a doctor if necessary. We will absolutely stay there again next time we go to Prague. Read more

"Impressed"
Reliable internet access in hotel room. Breakfast - warm and a good variety - good starter of the day. The rate is reasonable too.
"Great find!"
Terminus Prague, good value for the money with breakfast included in the room rate. Close to the train station. Walking distance to main areas of Prague. Upon arriving at the hotel, 2 massive dark wood doors open by sensor leading up the steps to the lobby. Everyone spoke English at the desk. Breakfast served was with both hot and cold choices. Good […] start for the day. 2 internet stations available(free) in the lobby front room as well as a small bar with food and snacks. Room had an American size king bed. Bathroom was marble with a tub. Very nice layout and spacious by European standards. I would use this hotel if I ever ventured back to Prague. Read more
"Outstanding room"

Nice
"Golden Tulip. Great for a short break."
Good location, close to the station and the sights. Nice bar and comfortable rooms that were very clean. Breakfast was nothing special, but sets you up for a day of walking/sightseeing The price was good and we would stay here again.
"Quite shoddy"
Rooms were cramped and not properly cleaned. Reception services were analog and slow. Breakfast was ok and free Wifi worked well. Would not recommend it.
"Golden Tulip Prague Terminus"
The hotel is located by the highway so there is a little bit of nosie. But besides that it was a great location. Everything was within a ten minute walk. Most of all I did like that I was able to park my car with a 24hr attendant for what I feel was a minimal fee.
"It was very nice."
I could go easily to the famous places by walk or by tram. And breakfast was so delicious. I want to taste it again.
"Hotel close to train station"
The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the main train station. There is plenty to eat at the hot and cold breakfast. We booked two standard rooms facing the courtyard. The rooms were spacious and clean with modern washrooms. There is free internet service in the rooms.

"A room without a view"
It is disappointing to have a room lower than ground level. We did request for a room on upper floors but our request was not acceded to as we were told that all family rooms (to accommodate three persons) were occupied. Hotel Staff could speak English and communicated well.
"Golden Tulip Prague"
We stayed 4 days including a weekend in early June. Facilities and staff were excellent and trams and trains were close by with a simple to use unified ticketing based on time. The immediate locality and hotel entrance were initially offputting but more than compensated for by the overall experience.
"Golden Tulip Prague - Convenient"
I know it's not in the middle of all the sights, but our stay involved travelling around the Czech Republic by train. Thus, the Golden Tulip was in just the right spot. Good deal on the room rate. Big clean room and big clean bathroom! The breakfast choice was also really broad and plentiful. No problems at all with the staff, who were efficient and […] helpful. I'd definitely stay there again. MAJOR WORD OF WARNING - if it's hot outside and you need to keep the windows open, you won't be able to stand the road noise if your room does not face the inner courtyard (ours did, fortunately). The intersection and elevated highway virtually outside the entrance is VERY busy. I don't think you can specify which room you get - so it could be pot luck on that. Read more

"A place I'd recommend!"
The personnel was really helpful and kind. It was a nice place with nice people. And that's simply it.
"just perfect"
staff are welcoming and most helpful in every way they possibly can. hotel itself is just all round wonderful. location is as perfect as you could get as it is beside last stop (railway stn) for the airport express bus, and about five minutes walk from all the main tourist spots.
"Golden Tulip Prague Terminus"
Clean and welcoming. All the satff went out of their way to assist in ensuring our stay was enjoyable. Congratulations to the owners of this business for their choice of staff.
"Golden Tulip "Terminus" Prague"
Very nice hotel not too far from Wenszels square (5min away of Powder Tower) and very close to the main station. Staff was friendly and competent. Rooms nicely clean. Our room was quiet as it was to the yard but I could imagine that having a room to the streets could be noisy as there is a speedway rather close by. TV had only news channels, movies […] only available on pay TV. Nice breakfast, though maybe an average offer for the hotel category. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back any time, as we thought it was really good value for decent money. Read more
