You get what you pay for considering Amsterdam prices. Bed was awful and pillows too soft...if you sleep on night and don't wake up with neck or back pain it's a miracle. Noise location was well...for us it was ok beucase we stady at the beginning of the week but if you're planning a weekend stay and are not into partying you should probably avoid Reimbrandtplatz. […] On the good side, location is convenient, lots of restaurantes, cafes, fast food shops around and staff was really really great...if you really have to save money and need a quick stay I would recomend it. It was a great experience to stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very convenient. The location is hard to beat. I requested a room with a view and our windows opened up to Rembrandt plaza. They tell you to choose, a room inside is quieter or a room with a view comes with street noise. I didn´t care about the noise […] I wanted a view of the plaza. Right outside there´s a tram station and from there you can go anywhere in the city. Here´s the plus:I forgot my camera memory card with all our trip pictures in the safety box, so I called them as soon as I landed in the US and the front desk lady (Fida) was extremely helpful and mailed it back to my home. This was a great location with a very friendly staff but room overlooked main square and was noisy most of night. There was no AC that I could find even though it was one of the stated features. We adjusted to the noise but if you are a light sleeper it could be a big problem. Finally very steep stairs with no elevator.

This is a 400 year old townhouse converted into hotel. It offers a lot interms of quality and location for the money, but it does have a shared toilet and shower. That proved to be no problem as both were quite adequate and clean. The location is also quiet.

If you're just looking for a place to crash near the Red Light District at a good cost, this will do just fine. Essentially a hostel with private rooms, but shared bath. It was fine, but nothing exceptional. You are getting what you are paying for - a convenient, cheap place to stay in Amsterdam.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was extremely dirty and smelly. It looked like the sheets weren't washed or the floor vacuumed. The toilet that you share with the rest of the floor was so small that your knees touch the door when sitting. Hotel Atlanta is typical 2* hotel. The best thing about this hotel is location - just in the middle on Rembrandt squire. Bathroom in room #9 has strong constant smell of canalisation. Furniture is simple. Room is rougher big. Free Wi-Fi access. As conclusion: Low cost hotel in the very good place.

Safe convenient neighborhood, mostly OK... and I knew what was to be expected in a typical Amsterdam budget hotel. Room was fine and 'mostly' clean and only complaint was that the blankets either need to be washed or removed entirely as they had plenty evidence of past guest's DNA. This hotel is the perfect location for seeing Amsterdam. It is located where all the "action" is. The rooms are small, but clean. They have a few basic things right, a comfortable bed and hot water. This hotel is definitely better described as a hostel. The rooms were comfortable enough, though the shower and toilet areas were a bit less appealing. That being said I think the Hotel Atlanta was a good deal and located in a very convenient and central location. Everything we wanted to do in Amsterdam was within walking distance (2 miles).

The hotel is in a fantastic location - right in the Rembrandt Square with all the clubs and bars (a mix of gay and straight) and retsaurants. Great atmosphere around the hotel. I found the Customer Service to be quite poor... The woman at the reception was not very friendly and really unhelpful at times. I wont go into this as have dealt with this complaint […] through the hotel directly. The hotel itself was nice enough but i wouldnt personally say it was worth the price that we paid for the room. The only thing that justifies the cost is the location. I went to Amsterdam for work and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. I was on my own and the staff made me feel very welcome I stayed to chat with them for half an hour or more and I even got to cuddle the reception cat. The room as good with its own sink the toilet and shower room were next door to me and it was surprisingly quiet I didnt hear anyone […] using them. The square waas quite loud but it stopped by 11pm. Overall way, way over priced. I paid for a double room, but the bed was only marginally larger than a single bed and the whole room was tiny. The noise from the square really disturbed our sleep. The only good points were that the room was clean and the staff at reception were really friendly and helpful.

We stayed there for 4 nights and were out every night at the surrounding clubs and pubs. Unfortunately the room I was in had a view of the stairwell so I was woken every time someone either went up and down the corridor, to the bathroom or up and down the stairs.
