A wonderful hotel away from the busy town center a real retreat for those looking for a place to relax, enjoy the beach, and eat well in the different restaurants that the resort offers. This hotel is top notch. The service was fantastic! You felt pampered at all times. There were so many restraunts to choose from and having the indoor shopping souk was so convenient. They also offered a shuttle to the mall and indoor ski hill. The grounds and pools were beautiful. I would recommend staying at this hotel!

A resort of three hotels, shops, restaurants, bars & a water park. Excellent location, just 5 mins from Emirates Mall with free shuttle bus. Mina A Salam only has a very small swimming pool, but the Qsar (just 5 min walk next door) has an enormous outdoor heated pool, as does the Jumerah Beach Hotel, a short golf buggy ride away. Overall, very impressed with the hotel, but would recommend booking including breakfast & even better half board if on offer, otherwise be prepared to spend a lot on your food & drinks. This is a resort that would be hard to beat. You could stay here for a week and never leave the resort even though there is much else to see and do in dubai. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, pools(and thebeach) , great views and atmosphere, wild wadi and more. In saying that though its a 15 or 20min taxi ride to Dubai mall and burj al khalifa […] so its a bit out of the way. This hotel is absolutely fantastic. You could stay for two weeks and never eat at the same place twice. The food in each of the restaurants that we tried was excellent. Unfortunately there were a few minor hicups. These included the meal order being mixed up and the wrong meals being delivered (Zhenge He) and in the Italian restaurant (Toscano) the […] waiter delivered our pasta and disappeared before we were asked if we wanted grated cheese. Alas, these were minor issues. The Manager of each restaurant was exteremely apologetic and retrieved the situation. The only complaint that I would have is the price of alcohol. Perhaps this is simply part and parcel with the treatment of alcohol in the middle east. Notwithstanding that, the cost of a very ordinary red in the mini bar was laughable. The bottle, a Rawsons Retreat makes for very ordinary drinking at the price. Surely the wines could be better selected and more keenly priced. Read more

Have stayed at a number of Jumeirah hotels and they never fail to impress. First stay with our baby and they provided a baby bath and bottle steriliser which is impressive given the grandeur of a elegant resort. Fab beach and facilities are simply some of the best in Dubai in my 15 years of travelling to the city.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff and a beautiful room. Great facilities also (private beach and pool, entry to Wild Wadi, and shuttle services). Only negative point was that hotel restaurants were rather pricey.

We were upgraded to a Villa, our friends asked if they could be upgraded. Taken to the Al Qasr, told our room wasn't ready, shown to a room that was not in good order compared to such a lovely hotel!, called our friends to see where they were, they had been taken to their villa with our suit cases outside, two other people checking in at the same time […] were given the room next to our friends, we decided to go to our friends villa, when we got there our suit cases had gone, told the villa we were going to have was now not available, told that another one was was not ready, then that we couldn't have that one, shown to a villa away from our friends, decided we didn't want the upgrade asked to go back to the Mina A'Salm, told it was not possible as they were full, we said that this must be impossible as we and our friends had just check in and told about upgrade, so our rooms must still be available, I asked for transport back to the Mina A'Salm, this never arrived so after travelling all night to arrive in Dubai at 7.00 am we were left standing outside all these villas not knowing where we were, we finally sorted our own transport back to the Mina A'Salm, explained to the Manager what had happened, he then sorted our room with an upgrade; all very disappointing when we first arrived, but after that it was a lovely holiday. Please note that we have written to the Manager at the Mina A'Salm since we arrived home, he has been in contact with us and is dealing with this. Read more

Mina Al Salam Sep 2011 (RO) Instantly impressed by the opulence of the reception & the surrounding areas. Welcomed at check in with a drink and a cold towel then shown to ocean view room. Bedroom: huge comfortable bed, luxurious bed linen, large flat screen TV (12 English channels news and movies. Decorated in Arabian style had a small balcony with […] two chairs and a table. Sofa , coffee table , writing desk and chair. Miini bar (which can be used as a fridge if you shuffle the drinks around) and a kettle with ground coffee and a Cafetière. Bathroom: 2 sinks, walk in shower, a full sized bath sep toilet and bidet. Air con powerful & quiet, hair dryer and safe in troom. Maid and turn down included details of the following day’s activities accompanied by pampering items such as foot spray or body scrub along with a towel sculpture and a full ice bucket. Fresh fruit and water in the room daily. Can use pools at the Al Qasr (by walking or in free Abra boats) & Jumerira Beach (by golf buggy within the hotel grounds) Abras & buggies operate 24 hrs. We booked dinner in the Burj Al Arab (excellent) Pool attendants excellent, laying out your sunbed, delivering complementary ice lollies, orange slices & cold towels & being very quick with drinks Excellent well equipped gym. Expect to pay up to £100 per couple for a modest meal with wine or a couple of beers. Beware of the lunch costs getting away with you too as 3 pints, 2 pina coladas and a pizza was £70 at the pool bar! Read more

Take the opportunity to use their SIRIUS card for discounts on the numerous restaurants within the resort. Use the lake taxis so you do not overheat when walking. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER and relax and enjoy. Pool side and BEACH towels are provided as […] well as other amenities on the beach- but we will not spoil- see for yourself. A 30 minute speed boat journey will take you to the Atlantis on The Palm. Brilliant. All watersports are done with sincerity with lifejackets and helmets supplied. The beach also has life guards. A fantastic stay once again. I keep going back which is testimony in its self and will continue to do so. It is only beaten by Al Maha however two very different locations but both equally enjoyable. Tough don't take my word for it - try yourself you wont be disappointed.

We landed in Dubai at 6.30 in the morning and as planned were meet by the limo to take us to the hotel. Our check in was not available until 3pm but the staff looked after us and let us use the lounge, have breakfast and relax on the beach. This was a fantastic hotel with great personal service.
