"Incredible place to stay in Napa!"
Upon arrival, we were greeted by an extremely friendly staff member, and given two generous glasses of a wonderful Pinot Noir that was made at a local vineyard down the road. To our happy surprise, we were upgraded from a regular room to a cottage, with two conjoined rooms and a patio, that was like our own little apartment! Each had a beautiful gas […] fireplace, heated floors, big screen TVs, and other great amenities. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay here longer and take more advantage of the resort facilities! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
INCREDIBLE property for a couples getaway. They have thought of every detail from the heated bathroom floors to the indoor/outdoor showers in the room! Be sure to take the free bikes for a soin to the local wineries. Really fun.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful, peaceful place to stay"
We loved our few days at this hotel. There are fruit trees everywhere and the grounds are gorgeous. After dinner the first night, we laid on our lounge chairs on the back deck and watched the stars. It was beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"quick napa stop on a sunday before busy work trip"
the property is spectacular - the front desk, concierge, housekeeping service was great - the service at the pool by the pool attendants was great but it took way too long to get food on a busy sunday afternoon mid summer after lunchtime they source their food from one of their venues very far from this pool and it was min 30-45 min for food at a 5 […] star resort this normal is unacceptable will stay there again and give the food service at pool another shot! on the other hand boon fly cafe which they own as well went there for dinner exceptional ! "Wife loved it!"
As soon as she stepped into our cottage, my wife could not stop raving about how wonderful the room was. She really loved the design and decor, especially the patio and outdoor shower. Definitely a nice place for a getaway. Also, what's great is that the hotel has several restaurants and it's own market. It felt like we were in our own little town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, but a bit disappointing for the price"
The stand alone cottages are lovely. Clean and well appointed. My only complaint is that the mattresses could be more comfortable. Biggest disappointment was the family pool area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great getaway weekend"
Great service and the outdoor shower is fantastic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is exactly the place for a romantic getaway. My husband and I had never been to Napa, but we will be going again and we will stay at The Carneros Inn. Perfect location, beautiful setting and scenery. The modern gym had state of the art, new equipment and a large pool for lap swimmimg, which I love as I like to exercise on vacation. The Cottages […] are clean modern, Beautiful and the bed very comfortable. We couldnt get a late check out, but because we had spa treatments the day before the spa let us use its facilities to shower so we could hang at the pool for a few extra hours before departing for our flight. I literally have no complants about this hotel, just loved it!!! We didnt have time to grab lunch one day before heading out to our wine tour so the Market store on the property put together some delicious sandwiches we ate on our way! "If you want to relax - come to Carneros Inn"
It is a very relaxing place. The rooms are great and the pool is super. Friendly staff. We stayed over Monday and Tuesday which unfortunately meant the only restaurant open on site was the Boon fly Cafe. We must admit we don't understand why not have the farm is not open every day as it is a much more cosy place. If we are in Napa again we will for […] sure come back. "great one night getaway"
cool cottage-style rooms, incredibly nice staff, and complete surrounding "town" with everything you need for a fun and relaxing few days.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel puts the "R" of R&R in Relaxation. They make you feel welcome from the moment you pull up to registration and the valet greets you. Then they make you feel like vacation has immediately begun with a glass of wine to enjoy upon check-in. Then you are taken to your room and you never want to leave, except that "Farm" is such a great restaurant […] that you wouldn't want to miss it! Enjoy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Generally amazing but just one thing "

This place is very special. Great restaurants. Lovely facilities. Very close to great wineries. The cottages are in good shape. Bathtub wasn't large or new but my husband loved the outdoor shower. The service while we stayed there was great. I did have to follow up with housekeeping after check out because I thought I left something in the room. After I spoke with them, they never followed up with until I reached out to the front desk. I don't want to harp on this - it could be a one off BUT service matters before, during and after. I expected follow up not 1 week later but 12 hours later. Having said that, I would and will definitely go back. So relaxing.

The Carneros Inn is a true getaway, relaxing and quiet and secluded and beautiful without being in the middle of nowhere, since it's just a few minutes drive from numerous wineries and downtown Napa. The on-site restaurants Farm and Boon Fly Cafe were great, each in their own way, and the on-site Market store had a large selection of food, salads, sandwiches and various items. The whole property is extremely stylish in a modern rustic way. The reception area is beautiful and we were welcomed by professional staff offering us wine and treats. Our cottage was large, with a very comfortable bed, a real working fireplace, good wi-fi, an indoor shower as well as an amazing outdoor shower, a large secluded outdoor patio for sunbathing. The gym was quite large and had an excellent assortment of equipment. The service was very good when we needed it, though this place might be better suited for people who prefer to be left alone rather than those who want constant intense pampering. There's nothing in our experience that was not positive. We only stayed 2 nights but I can't wait to return for a longer stay.

Spent two nights in a huge two bedroom "house" on the premises. The setting is beautiful, romantic and serene. There is a lovely pool for sunbathing and another for exercise with a kiddy pool beyond. It is like a grownup refuge where kids are welcome; there are activities, exercise and multiple choices of places to get very good food. The units are very private and pretty; we didn't see too many other people even though is was full or nearly full. The reason this is not a five star resort is the following: the employees, although very nice, are not very informed about the area or the property; the units are slightly in disrepair (our bedroom had the toilet coming loose from the ground and the shower head splashed outside the shower over the glass shower door and made a huge mess); the mattresses are very uncomfortable; it is a little far (expensive car service is necessary if you do not have your own car) from any activities in any of the surrounding towns; wifi, although included, thank you, provided a very weak signal. For the price, I'd say it is 4 stars; if it were less pricey or offered better amenities commensurate with the high price it could be excellent for it's price range, but it needs to decide what category it wants to be in. It definitely should have it's own gratis car service to drive customers around at this price level. Additionally some people in our group used the spa and felt the services were not good.

Just stayed for a night, have to say it's a very private setting, outside shower from inside shower, eclectic design, New England cottage, outdoor heat and complete privacy. Great 24 hour heated pool and same hot tub. Adult only pool. Restaurant on site but a walk depending which unit you have. Great napa wines of course. Well designed and security gate. Various levels of accommodations with spa and boutique.
"Five stars, are you high?"

Huge disappointment. The place is gorgeous. The heater didn't seem to work so once the one log they give you has burned down it got pretty freaking cold. We asked for a bucket of ice four times before we finally got it. We came back late Saturday thinking we could get a late dinner, but we could not be served at "The Farm" because they closed at 11:00 and it was 10:40. We asked the restaurant manager if we could get something to go and he was unsympathetic and he said no. I think he could have sold us some bread or something. He advised us after telling us room service closed at 9:00 we should go back to our room and fill up on water. We then went to the front desk to see if they had any vending machines, nothing. The woman at the desk, Leslie offered us some wine and gave us a cup of cashews which was really nice of her. Overall, I would tell someone staying there to bring some food with them because they close down quite early for a vacation local. Boo hiss!!!
"Lovely but very pricey"
Romantic, peaceful, nicely appointed rooms with nice outdoor space as well. Dinner dining was excellent, and the breakfast place, Boon Fly Cafe, was very good as well. We loved the gas fireplace in the room, but it was too cold and rainy too hang out outside.
"An Excellent Way to Chill in Napa Valley"
01/28/15 Ash H San Francisco, California
If you're looking for a way to turn off, Carneros Inn is one of the nicest ways to do so in the Napa Valley. The individual cottages are tremendously romantic and each one comes with a small backyard. We had room service brought to us one evening and we hung out on the back deck and at dinner under the stars. In the past, we have also booked the much larger family cottage and had 2 families stay together. The resort is nicely situated with a decent gym and pool. The restaurants are okay but there's an abundance of excellent dining options if you're willing to drive around Napa. One nice bonus if you have a furry family member - they do allow pets so the few times that we have gone up there, we always take the dog....it's a fantastic place to get away and recharge for a weekend!

We stayed in a two bedroom cottage, with lots of space, two queen beds in the second bedroom, an outdoor living area with fireplace, private outdoor hot tub... it exceeded our expectations and was a fabulous place to stay! The fitness room and pools were amazing, as well as the on site restaurants. It wasn't too far to drive to wineries in Carneros, Napa and Yountville. Great spot and hope to be back in the future.

A wonderful experience and I rate it 4.5 stars. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. Driving to registration you see huge buffalo that are fenced in and part of the property. They apparently are very friendly. The actual registration area is contained within its own building. It was beautifully decorated with couches and a fireplace and it reminded me of a private game reserve in South Africa we stayed at a few years back. The front desk agents were polite and helpful and secured an Audi to transport me around the property. The property is large so there are audis and drivers on call for you at all times. The valet moved my car to the parking spot in front of my cottage when it was ready and delivered my bags to my cottage. The cottages also reminded me of the private game reserve. The cottage had canopied ceilings, an indoor and outdoor shower, firepit, outdoor bathtub, lounge chairs with heat lamps, and decent (but not great) toiletries. There was never a shortage of free bottles of water in the bedroom and bathroom and each night housekeeping delivered a small box of salted caramel chocolates. The bed was comfortable and I believe was made up with Frette linens. The food was pretty outstanding. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner for four nights at Farm, and one night at the Hilltop. I am a vegetarian so I did have to remind them to offer food other than pasta at lunch and dinner but they did do it and made a wonderful bean dish and tofu dish. There are two outdoor heated pools, one that is adults-only and one for families. Both are nice. The family pool is alongside the gym. It's a decent-sized gym and the equipment was advanced. The treadmills and ellipticals each had touch screen internet. I'm not a gym person as I workout outdoors so I'm not too familIar with equipment but this seemed advanced with the internet (although the connection was slow!). All in all it,was a wonderful stay. For about $600/night in the off season it was a bit pricey and it would have been nice if breakfast and tea time were included like at some other hotels in napa valley. Despite that, I would return, especially in the non-winter months when flowers are in bloom and it's much warmer.

I've been there 2 nights in November. In just a word : Unbelievable !!! Everything, from start to finish was just Perfect. Whether it's registration confortably seat in a big coach with a glass of wine, the cottages full of charm, the great pools... I've seen there details I've never seen in any luxury hotel... Like sun protection cream around the pool, just amazing ! I could write how beautiful this place is, but I think the best is to go there and judge by yourself.
