INCREDIBLE property for a couples getaway. They have thought of every detail from the heated bathroom floors to the indoor/outdoor showers in the room! Be sure to take the free bikes for a soin to the local wineries. Really fun.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"quick napa stop on a sunday before busy work trip"
the property is spectacular - the front desk, concierge, housekeeping service was great - the service at the pool by the pool attendants was great but it took way too long to get food on a busy sunday afternoon mid summer after lunchtime they source their food from one of their venues very far from this pool and it was min 30-45 min for food at a 5 […] star resort this normal is unacceptable will stay there again and give the food service at pool another shot! on the other hand boon fly cafe which they own as well went there for dinner exceptional ! "Wife loved it!"
As soon as she stepped into our cottage, my wife could not stop raving about how wonderful the room was. She really loved the design and decor, especially the patio and outdoor shower. Definitely a nice place for a getaway. Also, what's great is that the hotel has several restaurants and it's own market. It felt like we were in our own little town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, but a bit disappointing for the price"
The stand alone cottages are lovely. Clean and well appointed. My only complaint is that the mattresses could be more comfortable. Biggest disappointment was the family pool area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great getaway weekend"
Great service and the outdoor shower is fantastic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is exactly the place for a romantic getaway. My husband and I had never been to Napa, but we will be going again and we will stay at The Carneros Inn. Perfect location, beautiful setting and scenery. The modern gym had state of the art, new equipment and a large pool for lap swimmimg, which I love as I like to exercise on vacation. The Cottages […] are clean modern, Beautiful and the bed very comfortable. We couldnt get a late check out, but because we had spa treatments the day before the spa let us use its facilities to shower so we could hang at the pool for a few extra hours before departing for our flight. I literally have no complants about this hotel, just loved it!!! We didnt have time to grab lunch one day before heading out to our wine tour so the Market store on the property put together some delicious sandwiches we ate on our way! "If you want to relax - come to Carneros Inn"
It is a very relaxing place. The rooms are great and the pool is super. Friendly staff. We stayed over Monday and Tuesday which unfortunately meant the only restaurant open on site was the Boon fly Cafe. We must admit we don't understand why not have the farm is not open every day as it is a much more cosy place. If we are in Napa again we will for […] sure come back. "great one night getaway"
cool cottage-style rooms, incredibly nice staff, and complete surrounding "town" with everything you need for a fun and relaxing few days.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel puts the "R" of R&R in Relaxation. They make you feel welcome from the moment you pull up to registration and the valet greets you. Then they make you feel like vacation has immediately begun with a glass of wine to enjoy upon check-in. Then you are taken to your room and you never want to leave, except that "Farm" is such a great restaurant […] that you wouldn't want to miss it! Enjoy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful Resort for a Romantic Getaway"
My Girlfriend and I had a great time during our stay and the resort is absolutley beautiful and the staff is great. We only had one small issue with the outside heating lamp (damaged by bees) but the service staff came right away to fix it. We will definiltey be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Carneros Inn, Napa Valley"
Perfect location for touring Napa Valley. Easy to find from San Francisco airport. The outdoor "lap pool" was amazing. Steaming hot in February in the middle of the night. We had jet lag and swam at four in the morning. Gym - beautiful new equipment. Nice service, helpful people and the Boonfly Cafe for breakfast does great food. Rooms were luxuriously […] equipped too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A concept hotel that set the standards high"
When one travels a lot. It is refreshing to come across a unique hotel with 1st class amenities. I stumbled across this hotel when it first opened and wanted to move in and never leave. Over the years, this concept has been copied, but The Carneros Inn seems to have stayed ahead of the curve in customer service, unique settings and wonderful amenities. Most of your reviewers have gushed about the what they have to offer, so I won't bother being repetitive. If you want a truly unique experience in the wine country, this is worth the investment.
"Perfect start to our honeymoon"

Carneros Inn- one of the most spectacular hotels in the country. The grounds on the property are absolutely stunning- from the vineyard views to the fruit and trees going throughout the grounds. This was our first stop on our 2 week California road trip. We stayed in a vineyard view room- loved the outside deck for reading and relaxing. At night they have a heat lamp you can also turn on. The adult pool had great service. Plenty of seating at the pool. Highly recommend booking your spa treatments in advance- worth every penny. The staff at the spa has a ton of knowledge and really cares about your needs. Make sure you utilize the concierge- I believe Harley helped make our dinner reservations about a month or so in advance. He and the rest of the staff really ensured we had the perfect schedule and were great with emails. make sure you have breakfast at Hilltop- delicious! Will be back again soon
"a little slice of heaven"

Wonderful over night get-away without having to travel far. Quiet, cozy, luxurious and excellent service. We treated ourselves to a massage and enjoyed a fabulous dinner (and breakfast) at the Hilltop restaurant with a lovely view and peaceful walk from our cottage. Enjoyed chatting with the staff (very helpful). Even though it was a rainy weekend, it was just a beautiful ... can't wait to go back maybe in the late summer to relax by the pool !
"Lux Cottages in Wine Country"
12/05/14 KARXPRT Orange County, California
Each room is a small cottage with heated bathroom floor. Amenities are top notch. Front porch with Adirondack Chair. Rear patio with chaise lounge. Outside shower. Very quiet. Cottages are spread over the property and it an be a long walk to the restaurant/bar.

Beautiful, romantic, cozy, fabulous food on site, no need to leave....oh yeah, there are lots of wineries locally that should not be missed, but this place is so beautiful. Grab a cottage overlooking the vineyard. A late night stroll to the heated pool is always a delight. Sit by the fire afterward or drop into the bar for a warm up.
"Not worth the money"
Not very good service, rude staff, uncomfortable bed, and rooms with poor temperature control systems, it was 40 degrees outside, and the a/c system could not bring the room to a comfortable temperature. Not worth the money. It is also a bit isolated from the main towns in Napa

We visited for our wedding night and had the most amazing experience. The atmosphere is very romantic . Definitely a night we will never forget. The staff was amazing and our dinner at the farm was mouth watering!! Hopefully one day we will be back :)
"Great Getaway but the Devil is in the Details"
11/24/14 cannabelle-SF San Francisco
As others have mentioned, this property is a little slice of heaven. It has the benefit of being close to San Francisco and a world apart. Napa is beautiful every time of year. We visited in low season so there was less service at the pool and gym area than usual. Our room was lovely but the view from our deck was just other cottages. It was a chilly night and when the heater blasted on it woke both of us up. The heated floors in the bathrooms were programmed for the wrong time so didn't really work. Our lunch at the Hilltop Dining Room was average at best. These are nit picky things but as others have also remarked, at these prices, everything should be sublime.
"Great 2 nights !"
11/16/14 travelpimpfestus Festus, MO
We had a great stay. The heated deck, outdoor shower, fruit trees outside the door. So many details were perfect. The reason for 4 stars : there were stains on the curtains, above the headboard, and a wall lamp was dangling(it lit, but the fixture itself was broken). For this kind of money, the attention to detail is so important!!
"Sadly, not what it once was..."
11/14/14 elana555 Los Angeles, California
During our first visit to the hotel in 2009, we absolutely loved everything. From check-in to check out- it was elegant, beautiful and fun. We had really looked forward to our return for our tenth anniversary. Apparently the resort has been sold earlier this year and things are not the same to say the least. We checked in early in the evening. It was dark when we arrived on property. We were given keys to our room and then attempted to navigate our way to there on our own, the exterior lights were not on at the front door, the lights were all off inside, the patio furniture covers were on. It was not very welcoming as we walked in to the strong scent of cigarettes. I sat down on the bed and could smell it in the pillows. In the bathroom the tiles were deteriorated, water damaged and discolored with what looked like mold. (see photo) My husband did not want to shower in that bathroom so I called the front desk and explained the situation. The woman on the line said that she would move us to another room and let housekeeping know right away. Soon after, we were moved into another room assisted by a golf cart, this second room seemed smaller although I was told it was just a different layout. This room also had an odor of smoke albeit not as strong. Once again we found water damaged tiles on the floor in the bathroom, although not as bad as in our first room. In the shower, tiles were cracked and water damaged. I took a bath and the tub would not drain, our room serviceman even tried to get the water to go down to no avail- it did drain out by the morning. The sink also drained slowly. The TV channels did not come in HD for most channels. I am not trying to say that any one of these things would be a big deal, but all together, we were disappointed and did not feel that this was the place to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was depressing. The next morning, I walked up to reception to see if there were any other rooms available. I explained it was our tenth anniversary, first time away from our little ones in many years, etc. The woman at the desk looked on the computer and said there was just one room available, a suite for over $1,400 per night and that it was pretty much the same room that we had now but with a sitting area across the patio. This didn’t seem like the solution to me. I was hoping to grab a cup of coffee when I was at reception but there was not any available (I remember it used to be). I walked over to the restaurant and was told it was closed and would be for our entire stay. The woman explained to be that I could eat at the café at the bottom of the property. One of our favorite parts of Carneros Inn was dining at the beautiful hill top restaurant for breakfast enjoying the gorgeous view! I asked if there was anywhere I could have coffee before I walked back down to my room and was told that there was a coffee machine in my room and I could make some… I am happy to do that at home but it was not the sort of relaxing and luxurious experience I had been hoping for on our romantic getaway. So, my husband and I then drove down to the only restaurant available for breakfast, We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated at a table, the waiters were all overworked and sweating, trying to cover so many people. I was surprised that was the only place to dine at a nice hotel for breakfast. One of the servers told us that the property was undergoing some changes and things are a little hectic but the food was good. The morning of the 4th we were awoken at 8am by a lawnmower. It was very loud, I looked outside and saw that the gardener was wearing earplugs (he was right outside our door); too bad I didn’t have any. I called the front desk and told her about it, she said she would send somebody down to tell him to stop and that he shouldn’t be doing that. Well, unfortunately he didn’t stop for the remainder of our stay at The Carneros Inn we could barely hear ourselves think let alone rest. I understand that the grounds must be cared for but on vacation, I don’t want to hear mowing at 8am. We finally packed up the car and left at about 10am and they were still mowing. The price of this resort is on the high end for the Napa area, so you would assume they offer a first class accommodation, which they do not. My advice is to stay at the Villagio Inn and Spa for a similar price at a better kept hotel that includes a lovely breakfast, or if you are celebrating something special and want to splurge, stay at one of the top notch hotels like Auberge or Meadowood, Carneros is not at all in that league. By the way, I reached out to the resort privately via e-mail in regard to your disappointing visit before posting this review, they did not respond. I am guessing that they will now or maybe they just don't care, it was sold out after all.
