It has all the amenities that you would expect of a hotel in this class, and it has a much nicer fitness room than you tend to see in Asian hotels. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with Western dishes, some Japanese-type dishes, but no local dishes (which was a disappointment, but I suppose travelers eating at a hotel buffet are not typically very […] adventurous). It's quite close to the Dong Khoi shopping/tourist area, although you have to walk through a somewhat sketchy set of side streets to get there. Typically Vietnamese, I guess, but not always sidewalks and lots of parked motorbikes to push through. That said, they can get reliable taxis at the hotel and they're never very expensive within the city. The lobby bar has a nice atmosphere to it; it is overpriced, but it's a hotel with a higher level of service, so this is expected. All in all, a comfortable place to stay. Read more

Good hotel, good location along the river in HCM. Rooms were clean and well maintained but "not quite" what you've expect from an international five star operation. Overall, had a very Japanese feel to it. Good solid 4 to 4.5 star operation.

I stayed at the Legend Saigon for 2 nights while on a side trip from Thailand. The hotel itself is clean and well situated, and the room comfortable, if smelling a bit like smoke. The staff was quite uneven, ranging from most being friendly, polite and helpful, to a few rather snarly and somewhat hostile people. My wife and I just got back from 3 weeks of the SE Asian trip this week. We booked 3 nights at Legend hotel in Saigon or Ho Chi Min city via expedia Website. This was the best thing that happened throughout our trip. Our final stop in SGN at this hotel before returning back to Portland, Oregon was a very restful, delightful. My wife and I (Scandinavian, 30+) stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed ourselves. We made use of the on-site spa and had breakfast in the lobby restaurant, but did not use any other facilities. The concierge was very helpful in assisting with restaurant reservations and suggestions. Would stay here again.

great hotel - stayed before - average size rooms but river view rooms great views. breakfast is fabulous - pool is large. we had a late flight on the last day so on check-in we requested a later check-out if possible - we were point blank refused without even checking the computer even though this request was for 2 days time !!! very poor service for […] a 5 star hotel - i have had better service in 3 star. we were told we could change in the fitness centres but this consisted of seperate changing areas of a very small size with 1 shower - hot surroundings as the steam room is in the same area and an area for drying hair almost at reception in full view as full glass - floor to ceiling. we had no choice other than to book another hotel for the last day to get changed in . I suggest management look at their policies for early and late check in and set aside 1 room in the hotel for this use _ we required a room for 30 - 45 mins only but were forced to pay for a hotel room - all other hotels offer this facility in my experience and we travel approx 8 times a year to 3-5 star hotels !! I have a girlfriend since jears in Vietnam. to do something special we booked in the legend hotel. because we knew that it is against the law to stay together in one room witout marrige ,we booked two rooms. from the beginning everyone was looking at her. after two days staying there and 20 times walking in and out. the security was just run after her, […] asking for an id,room number.... we told him that we are staying there for a few days allready. he just walked away. The hotel was great, close to all the hustle and bustle of the shopping area. Lots of restuarants in the area. We used the back entrance of the hotel. The only negative was that the taxi's all park there and the drivers use the area for urinating and the area smells like a urinal, on the upside there is an excellent wine bar right at the back gate called […] Vinafera (excellent choice of wines) if you go say hello to Jeremy from the Canadians. The executive floor at Legend is still the best value for the price in the whole of Asia. This was our 3rd stay at Legend Exec. level and we were still happy. With the beer and wine served from 10am to10pm. and enough food available from 2.30pm on that one did not need to eat dinner at all. The only minus is that children are allowed on the exec. floor and it being Xmas (and therefore busy) they were a PEST. One other problem was that there are only 24 lounge chairs at the pool despite there being room for twice that many. This was our 3rd stay and the second this year. We came back to indulge in the pampering one receives on the Executive floor and I must say we got plenty. Beer and Wine is now included from 10am to 10pm. as well as ample food from 2.30pm. The staff are wonderfull!!!. The evening buffet is a must and at about $50 a head is top class. Of course so much […] food is on tap in the Executive lounge that one does not need an evening meal.The only minus is that children are allowed on the exec. floor and being older guests we were very annoyed with Kids playing noisy i pad games etc.. The only other problem is, there are only 24 pool lounges despite there being room for twice that many. It meant a lot of guests missed out on a lounge (including us) on several occasions.
