Hotel Manager was great!! I arrived quite late, and am disabled. (Hotels.com hadn't bothered to inform them of my need for a 1st floor room close to handicap parking.) He closed the office and helped me unload my car and take all my luggage to my room which was at the far end of the motel, and on the 2nd floor. Thank goodness they had an elevator. I stayed there for the week having work in Houston and Texas City area. It was a good location for both cities. It was quiet, safe, and the bed was comfortable. Great hotel for the money . Was clean but not perfect. Bedspreads and carpet showed wear , badly molded under sink cabinet in bathroom. toilet rocked when you sat on it. Beds were clean and everything else was too . Great location , and the kitchen was a huge plus . Free breakfast was basic but nice. Good pool . Staff was very very friendly !

It was clean. The hotel manager and staff were courteous and helpful. The location was excellent (Mexican restaurant served a great breakfast!). The only problem (through no fault of the hotel) was the construction going on with the underpass/feeder road. Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes!

We were looking for an economical hotel close to the beach. The beach was almost 40 miles from the hotel. We spend well more on blankets to sleep on and under and cleaning items to clean the room before we could bring our things in. It was so filthy that I wouldn't put my dogs in the room prior to my husband and I cleaning it. Got there and first room was water damaged. Carpet was wet and counters and cabinet doors were bowed up from getting drenched. Finally got another room. No do not disturb signs and phone was broken. Tv speakers were blown and cracking. Failed wake up calls. Just overall bad experience.

Bugs on night one. Dare I say the variety. But I noticed some dead juvenile c@#$%^&*(#$ so I assumed they were doing their best to control them. Second night we returned from Galveston, which I highly recommend, found the room untouched and no towels, no biggie I just went down and got some towels, I had already made my bed that morning and I can empty […] a trash can right. The next morning we were heading back to Galveston and passed the housekeeper. I asked if she was going to be in our room and she said "yes" I asked for four bath towels and she said "O K" . When we returned that evening the trash was emptied, the dirty towels were gone, including two that I hung to dry, just in case. NO CLEAN TOWELS, NONE. I was disappointed with the first room I recieved rm# 310 it was very dirty upon arriving at 10:55 pm 5-25-12 so i was given another room 323 the ac didnt work very good had to leave it on 60 to cool the room. the room has a kitchenett but there are no dishes you have to take your own ......

We had problems from the day we checked in. Had to wait 3.5 to 4 hours to get our room key. Was stuck in room till we got it. Couldn't go no where. The next day we went out at 9:30 a.m. and got back between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. Couldn't get back in room. Room key wouldn't work. Went to front desk and they said they were rekeying a room on third floor. […] I asked what did that have to do with our room key not working. Hoel clerk could not answer me. We had to wait for them to finish on third floor before our key got fixed. To top this all off our room was not serviced. It was as we left it that morning. I expected hotel staff to be more understanding of our problems but they were not. Hotel owner was rude. We were told by some hotel staff they weren't paid regularly or paid correctly. Upon arrival to the hotel, the front desk staff check us in without a problem. The room on the other hand was very disappointing. It appear that there was not fresh linen on the bad as the sheet had stains on them. I had brought my own blanket and pillow from home if we were to run into this problem. We arrived back to the room at noon to find that the room was just as we had left it. We contacted the front desk to have room service to come clean the room and provide us with fresh towels. We took all the linen off the bed to have them replace with fresh linen. The housekeeper arrived to room without clean linens are towels. We stayed for a night as a family of four - two adults and two kids. Room was small and two double beds were not adequate to sleep four. My daughter and wife shared one bed. My son 14 slept on floor while I took the other bed. Both he and I were happy with this accommodation as at least we both slept well. Room had a full size refrigerator, a microwave, […] and a 2-stove electric cooktop. We used none of these. Closet was big with iron and ironining board. Bathroom was also very small. My room was on ground floor in front of the pool. Till after 11 p.m., some kids were in the pool and people running/ walking upstairs. We were tired after a full day of travel and activities and the noise did not prevent us from sfalling asleep fast. Breakfast was simple (cereal, donoughts, baggle, coffee, juices, and scramble egg) and the serving room was very small and crowded. We brought food in our room to eat. Front office staff was polite and friendly. Not a bad motel for a cheap stay! Two queen beds and a couple of additional towels would have made it a much better place to stay for a night or two! Ask for a Non-smoking room. Our rooms smelled really bad of smoke. Most of the room was old and outdated. The breakfast, which was free, consisted of old, stale donuts. Had some cereal but NO milk. Juice was out, no napkins, room was a mess.

I bought two rooms for my band. We researved non-smoking but only gave us smoking. Small rooms with beds right next to each other. But the real problem was the Bed Bugs!! Each rooms had them. I didnt notice till the next day when I saw the bits. But the other room was infested.

I prepaid for the room for a week with the kitchenette option, it was clean, had hot breakfast, guest laundry, a workout center (no AC), and a really small pool (5 feet in the deep end).
