"Mex F1GP"
The focus of our trip was the Mexico F1 GP, and it was awesome! The metro was nearby. after a few transfers, was dropped off directly at track. Cool experience. The only weird part to me, was that they were a little bit difficult with guests. The rooms are like 1400 sf! and I had a weird time brining guests and family over! Other than that, it was super cool

"Great small hotel, good service, noisy hood."
Great small suite-based hotel - the staff is incredibly attentive and accomodated our every possible need. Good surprise is that the breakfast is a full breakfast in the restaurant, not some small, cheap version you get at another hotel. That was a very pleasant surprise! Neighborhood is very active, too active in the evening, as every night there was extreme noise from 4PM to 3AM, then the police would come into the middle of the street and get everyone out. We did get use to the noise after a while, and it seems as if the levels vary based on where you are in the hotel, where the rooms face.

"Quietest bedroom ever"
Overall, we really liked this place and will be back. The 1-bedroom suite was quite large and had a good-sized kitchenette that was pretty well equipped. The chairs and sofa weren't all that cozy, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time sitting around watching TV. Bed was firm. Plenty of storage space. Nice shower. Pics on this site are accurate. Very clean place with excellent daily housekeeping service. Noise may be an issue for some, as noted in other reviews. This is a extremely convenient neighborhood for seeing the sights, but it is a district with a number of loud nightclubs and partiers on the street. Our living room faced the street and you could hear a beat starting around 6 or 7pm, but it was easily obscured by turning on soft music in the room or watching TV. Front had nice view of part of the Reforma skyline from a balcony and colorful sunsets. The bedroom was in the back and was without question the QUIETEST room I've ever experienced in a hotel. And I've been in hundreds. The staff did partially resolve a few minor problems like some burned out light bulbs and were eager to make things right; overall the place is a bit homey and not quite perfect and you should just be chill with that. At the price we paid, this was just right. Breakfast was fine (table service; no buffet) but sometimes too slow.

"One of the best"
Amazing and big room! King bed, two sinks, living room, sofa, balcony and kitchen. One of our favorite room at all Mexico. Great service, very helpful and nice. Great location! near all the restaurants and metro, with almost no noise. (We stayed at the fifth floor). Definitely will recommend this hotel. We stayed at other hotel at Mexico city, and this was cheaper with breakfast and better room.

"In the center of the city"
Very good location. Walking distance to Paseo de la Reforma (3 min), Chapultepec (15-20 min), Zocalo (30-40 min), close to metro station. It is situated in the center of Zona Rosa, many night clubs around but I would not say that we suffered a lot from noise. If you open the window, yes you will hear it, but it was very noisy only on Thursday and Friday. Very spacious rooms with all necessary equipment (100+ square meters). 2 separate bedrooms. Additionally 2 sofas in the dining room. Valet parking free of charge. Good options for breakfast. It is not a buffet, but they give you fruits, fresh juice, coffee, and you can choose from the menu 2 options (pancakes, omelette, sandwiches, toasts, etc.) For the price they charge - it is perfect option in Mexico city, especially if you travel with family, or groups of more than 2 persons.

"Perfect Place, Perfect Stay"
This hotel, centrally located in Zona Rosa, was the best choice we could have made for our Mexico City vacation. Conveniently located just blocks from the metro, local bars and neighborhood restaurants. The bedroom, situated towards the rear of the hotel and away from the streets, provided a perfectly quite nights sleep. Comfortable bed with perfectly firm and fluffy pillows. The complimentary breakfast and daily chocolates left on the bed after being made up were a splendid touch. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Wirelses internet connection worked best in the living areas of the room.

"Great accommodations for the price"
For the price of a hotel room you get a spacious suite. Service great and location is as well. In the heart of the Zona Rosa. Steps away from the Angel monument and the paseo de la reforma. We enjoyed the full cooked to order breakfast which was included in our stay. No buffet but actually full service whatever you want. The refrigerator in the kitchen area of our suite allowed us to purchase some beers at the convenience store across the street so we did not have to go out for eating and drinks all the time. The separate bedroom was convenient for us. Also chocolate on our pillows ever night. Nice touches in this hotel. This is not a chain hotel and you can tell just by the décor of the rooms with art on the walls and all.

"Good Hotel with Bad Location"
This would be a great hotel if it were in a different (quiet) neighborhood. The Zona Rosa isn't unsafe, but it is loud and trashy. Thank goodness the bedroom was in the back otherwise we would have been unable to sleep. As it was a certain amount of noise got to us. Two nights it was from the drunks singing at the top of their lungs in the middle of the street outside. The rooms are comfortable and very spacious. The staff is excellent. The breakfasts are great. But the noise at night.

"awesome suite (feels like a penthouse!)"
only thing I regret is that I only planned to stay a single day! This has a living room, balcony, sitting room, kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven, stovetop, stand-in shower, dual sinks, 2 flat screen televisions.... yeah, this place is perfect for business or even a small family. I will only stay here going forward. Each floor has only 2 rooms, so you get lots of space. The gym is on the roof and it's small, but enough to get a decent work out. I didn't try out the restaurant, but they have room service. Across the street is a few restaurants, and there's a convenience store to pick up extra incidentals and they carry a wide range of beer and liquor if you need to jumpstart the party.

This hotel was a true riddle. "great location"
We stayed at the Hotel Suites Amberes in April 2013. The Hotel is nice and small. We stayed in the one bedroom suite, which is actually, like a condo. Plenty of room. We stayed on the seventh floor, so we had a great view of the surrounding area. The metro is only two blocks away, and very user friendly. You can reach all the major sights from this hotel, either by walking or taking the metro. There are lots of restaurants and shopping in the surrounding are, nice sidewalks for pedestrians. Now for the bad... We did not enjoy the daily breakfast, depending on who you ask it was a different menu each time. When they thought we did not speak Spanish, we were told, we only had very limited options. When they realized we spoke Spanish, all of a sudden the entire restaurant breakfast menu was available to us at no extra charge. Also the laundry service is very, very expensive.. plus there is a 25% tax added on at check out, which is not listed on the laundry form. The hotel also advertises that they will provide a taxi, at an additional charge for airport transfers ...Sundays and off hours, which is fine, no problem. The problem we did have was we were quoted one price by the desk clerk, than another by the driver. On our way to the airport at 2:30am, before we got to the airport the driver demanded the money, and said he wouldn't drop us off until we paid him, this is while were driving on the highway. Now this wasn't a random taxi, this was a taxi provide by the hotel.

"Awesome hotel"
I really cannot say enough good things about Amberes Suites; this hotel is excellent - great price, great location in Zona Rosa, awesome, friendly staff, excellent and gigantic rooms and the best breakfasts. As reported in other reviews, the rooms in the front of the hotel are noisy, with bass from the nearby clubs permeating the living area. This sound is not heard from the bedrooms, however, which are away from the street at the back of the suite, so it didn't interfere with our sleep. We stayed for four nights. Our first night was spent in a room at the front, but we requested to move to a room at the back if there were any available and the hotel was able to accommodate us. This second room was much quieter, though we lost the view and balcony, but that was fine. Also as reported in other reviews, the English of the staff was rudimentary but totally sufficient, especially when combined with our rudimentary Spanish. All staff was very helpful and kind. The neighbourhood was also bustling and safe even on the quieter nights (Sunday and Monday). We never felt threatened or unsafe at any time. The hotel has good security in place, too, with a buzzer sounding when someone enters the lobby. The Insurgentes metro station is conveniently nearby. This hotel is seriously fantastic and we loved Mexico City. We'll be back!

excellent service from the staff at the hotel and restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Hotel was nice with a rustic theme. We like modern but this was o.k. "Nearly Perfect"
Fantastic deal for the price. Suites were about three times the size of my apartment in NYC, breakfast included was excellent and overall great stay. There is street noise at night from neighboring bars, but as a New Yorker this didn't bother me. My only complaint would be the comfort of the bed. As someone with back pain I found the bed to be a bit stiff and the seating throughout the suites to lack comfort as well. This hotel is excellently located in a great shopping district with multiple dining options and is the center of the LGBT community. I'd absolutely return.
