I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I went into the room, it was obvious that someone had been smoking in it. When I asked the front desk for another room, they said that that was the only room available like that. When I went back up the the front desk to ask for some spray, a handicapped couple was requesting ash trays for their room and […] indicated that they had some delivered to their room last night #104 which was my room. The hotel itself looked and smelled very clean and the little blonde girl who worked the night we checked in was VERY nice. Bed and pillows could have been a little more comfortable. As for the continental breakfast...don't waste your time going to it :( About a mile away were lots of places to eat :) The only good thing on the breakfast "table" was […] the coffee. Donuts tasted days old, the prewrapped cinnamon buns were stale and the cereal also tasted stale. The hotel & the stay were ok. However, upon check out, more charges were put on my credit card even though the stay had been paid in full. The manager said he was correcting the errant charges only to add more charges to the card. After a month of no returned phone calls, this has still not been corrected.

They managed to charge me for an additional night in addition to charging the guy i was with for his half of what I had already paid for through hotels.com. Hotels.com managed to get everything on my end straightened out, but my colleague has yet to get his refund, or promise of a refund.

I ended up extending my stay by another night. I booked another night through hotels.com and asked the front desk if i needed to do anything else. They said that they would take care of it. When I came back from work, my room had not been cleaned or anything. They did end up giving me a different room.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and willing to help with any of our needs (extra towels location of ice machine etc.) and checked to make sure we were happy with out stay. Great bunch of people working at this hotel and will definetly use it again!! :)

On the plus side, this hotel seemed well maintained and clean. The desk person was pleasant and efficient. The bed was not terribly comfortable. The heater was very noisy when it cycled on and woke me several times. The room had a mini fridge and microwave, but no hairdryer or coffee pot. For one overnight stay, I'd have preferred the latter. The toiletries […] were sparse and the towels thin. Considering all this, I feel the discounted rate could have been better. But I would not discourage someone from staying there if you're OK with the minimum in amenities. Read more

Our room smelled overwhelmingly like urine...not animal urine, human urine. The floor was sticky (not sure why) and the bed was so hard my husband and I barely slept at all. From the looks of it, this was the best hotel in Jackson...however....not much competition. It was cheap and that was about the only good thing we got out of this stay.

I have recently stayed in quite a few hotels ...mostly more costly and there's only a couple of things that your hotel could do to make people who normally don't stay in Red Roof type hotels reconsider. 1. The towels were very lightweight and I think that spending a little more on bath linens would remove one of the […] few things that made the hotel feel inexpensive. 2. same thing goes with the pillows. Stayed here as a midway point between DC and driving to Cincinnati and was impressed with the facilities considering the price. The hotel has free parking and an elevator so it was easy to get baggage up to our room. The room itself was nice and clean, with a comfortable bed, microwave and fridge and decent speed free wifi.
