The worst place to stay. Very dirty, no POOL, NO Parking. The carpets are so dirty their are big stains all over. The made did not put clean towels in the room. The lobby is a very small room. I would give this place a 0 star not even a 1. I would consider this place a MOTEL NOT HOTEL.

Room was awfully smaller than advertised. Toilet kept making weird sounds at night. Bed was comfortable, TV was great, and there is a cheap subway downstairs.

I had 3 rooms reserved. In my room I had to pick up trash off the floor from the previous guest. In all 3 rooms they only gave one hand towel and wash cloth. Thats fine if your husband & wife but yuck if your not. One room asked for an alarm clock and the afternoon desk clerk was very rude. If you don't have one in your room then we don't have any. […] Didn't want to give extra wash cloth either. No iron or ironing board. The carpet was so dirty and stained I kept my socks or shoes on while in the room. You get what you pay for.I would never stay here again or recommand this hotel. This is not the Ritz if you are expecting it. The staff was OK, not exactly the friendliest bunch, but we did not have any problems. The elevator was pretty rickety. Like others say, there is a Subway in the lobby, which is kind of strange, but we took advantage of it for a cheap dinner on two occasions. The room was OK. I had to ask the front desk to clean and prepare the room. The room smelled badly from molds. The sheets were never changed for the four days of my stay, but only stretched and organized. the entire hotel smells from the SubWay fast food in the so called lobby.

We had a room that faced the major throughfare on Miami Beach and it was very loud through the night and the windows hardly blocked out any noise - luckily the wife and I had earplugs with otherwise it most likely would have been a restless 2 nights. Bed was very comfortable and the room had a newer TV (42" (?) flatscreen mounted on the wall. Carpet […] was very well worn and didn't seem to have any padding on top of a concrete floor. Room was spacious for 2 and also had a comfortable couch. Didn't see a lot of restaurants in the area other than the overpriced ones in hotels. What can I say.... its a small hotel... but what location !!! Absolutely close to mid beach...a stone's throw to Miami Beach's famous boardwalk.... Also well maintained and costs considerably less than other sea facing hotels. The hotel runs a little short on amenities.... but who cares for a pool..when you are at Miami Beach !!!

Older hotel the room appeared to be set up for one person. No parking available for this hotel. This adds up to $30 per day to the cost. Jack hammering from street construction started at about 11 pm.

The hotel staff was nice, but that's about it. The hallway carpet was not just filthy, but unsanitary. The reek of the Subway Sandwhich Shoppe almost knocks you over when you walk into the hotel lobby. Food delivery places constantly slide menus under your door at all hours of the night. Spend a few dollars more.

Ocean Spray Hotel was very conveniently located to an industry conference at Fountainbleu Hotel 2 blocks away. It is a a no-frills hotel - no real amenities. My room was renovated and had a modern look, but the furniture is cheap and falling apart. No parking facilities at the Ocean Spray but there is an Alamo/National car rental 2 blks away. There […] are several parking lots in the neighborhood $25 - $35 per day. There a Subway shop in the lobby which is open to all 7am -midnight every day. It is convenient for a quick bite - the smell of fast food is in the lobby and the elevator. South Beach is a $15 taxi ride. Access to the beach is one block away. Stay here if you can get a good nightly rate - under $100 night. I suspect the Days Inn, the Holiday Inn and other local hotels offer more value for your money. Read more

it was ok. proximity to beach was a plus. hallways were freezing for some reason. only issue was parking but knew that going in. service was ok but i would seek better options.

Hotel was nice and clean. Sure hallways were a bit chilly but who really cares? This was a very good choice for me and my bf to stay couple day before heading to south. They provide beach towels too! Only negative was that wireless internet did not work in our room -but didn't need to pay for that either.

I stayed at the Ocean Spray Hotel for 3 nights, and it was a very pleasant stay! The service was perfect, people was nice and the rooms were very clean and nice (looked very new too). It didn't smelled very good in the lobby because of the subway restaurante inside the hotel. It was pretty noisy too, I woke up a couple of times every night either because […] of (drunk) people in the hallways or cars honking at the street, so the rooms were poorly insulated! Overall the experience was very good, I didn't expected much, but had a really pleasant stay. The location in general, is good - a block from the boardwalk and beach, across the street from the express bus to the airport, but not a lot of local restuarants, some basic stores for general needs are a few blocks away. There are some abandoned buildings in close proximity as well, so draws a few sketchy people, while the ovely Fountainebleu is at […] the end of the block, but a world away! The carpets and noise level are problematic - the windows are old and cannot keep any noise out, so when traffic backs up (and it does, it is a busy location), the cars honking and bumping bass seem like they're in the room with you. The room doors all tend to slam shut, as does the door to the stairs, so it seems like slamming doors are part of your stay regardless of time of day. The carpet is stained beyond belief, which is caused by guests, but visible to everyone. I appreciated the convenience of the Subway restaurant in the lobby, but it does upstage the hotel lobby a bit. It was a comfy bed, even though the mattress was stamped "AS IS - No Warranty." There is no closet, just a hanging rack in the room, but the size of the room was good, especially after our 2 weeks on a cruise ship. It was a decent place to sleep but a bit worn down at the heels, and the noise was my biggest issue for sure. Read more

When I went to the hotel after just arrived to Miami we don´t have where to park in a few blocks around it, don´t even has a loading zone with some heavy traffic at that time. When I finally get where to park, went to the reception to cancel my reservation and they told to me that they will charge the first night anyway.

The hotel has a tremendous parking problem. Consider adding $25 for valet parking which even does not belong to the hotel. There is also a public multi storey parking which charges you as you enter and exit. Overnight parking is $25 as well. You are on your own seeking a parking spot. Hotel staff is not friendly with that problem.

The staff was very nice and aware of the guest that would be checking in. We had no problems. The room was standard but good enough to get the job done. It's South Beach I didn't come to stay to make it feel like home.It was fine to sleep and get clean to hang out.
