The location of Murray Suites is perfect for the tourist. All the sites are within walking distance, and lots of places to eat or buy groceries within a block or two. These truly are suites -- I didn't expect that. They are larger than some NY flats!! Complete with kitchen and living room area. Very comfortable, very quiet. I'd moist definitely recommend it for the person not willing to pay big bucks for a room (like me!), and I'd definitely stay there again!

I have stayed in many NYC hotels. This hotel is more like an apt building. Rooms are big, and clean. The rooms DON'T have the flat screen, DON'T have the flashy shower door, and some of the upgrades many significantly more expensive hotels have. And to me, I dont care. Im a business traveler and need a clean quiet, and comfy placy. There is no doubt,I will go back and back (if they keep it priced right). The Location is great (plenty of pubs on 3rd, Pizza, Curry, etc...) and walking distance to Grand Central in 5 minutes. BOOK IT.

My only complaint is really the absence of any vending machines in the lobby area or in the hotel for that matter for those items you may have forgotten..or that midnight snack you might need. There is a 24 hr store a couple blocks but not everyone is at ease to venture at midnight in NYC.
