"Very helpful staff"
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Very near the underground with a nice grocery store and great pub just across the street. The room was small but adequate with only a small widow. It was about a 45 minute subway ride to central London. I would stay there again as it was a good value all things considered.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good place to stay, neat clean."
Great location, next to the Tube, easy to get around.Genuine Expedia guest review

"nice, close to subway"
Pleasant stay. Good breakfast. Close to subway and convenience store that closes late.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Tube"
Great breakfast (except the eggs!), small rooms but OK for London, well laid out interiors though. Right next to the tube station but you do not hear the trains. Tesco is right over the road...for easy sandwiches, even sushi, etc. And a coffee shop as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was an excellent launching pad for all the major sites in London. First, the hotel is clean. It's a pretty standard Express. The rooms were clean and spacious enough (for 3 adults). The only bummer was the pull out bed for my daughter. She said it sucked and was not very happy about it. The service was good. Housekeeping was efficient and thorough. […] Breakfast was well timed and standard for an Express. The neighborhood came alive just around the corner from us every night so if you into hanging at the pub and in the streets than the location of this hotel will not disappoint. The hotel is literally a 5 min walk from the metro and that is your key to the city. We were able to negotiate the metro line very easily and it was nice to have it so close to the hotel especially after a long day of walking and exploring. There are some practical things in the neighborhood as well. Just around the corner you'll find a Laundromat and other things like that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Holiday Inn Express London - Park Royal Dear Alex, Many thanks for sharing your experience at our hotel and taking the time to write a review for us. I must admit that you have summed it up perfectly for us. Indeed, our hotel is a great launching pad and an ideal location for tourists and businessmen alike. Hotel's proximity to Central line is very handy and get you anywhere in London within minutes. Thank you for your generous comments about our housekeeping team as well. They truly are the back bone of our team and very critical to our guest's happiness. Trust you will choose us again every time you are in London. Regards Deepak Vaid
"Nice quiet comfortable hotel"
Big spacious room with a sofa. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Good, welcoming staff. Wi-fi requires you to register on third-party Internet service provider, which isn't really straightforward. Fifteen seconds walk from the Underground station.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great option in London"
Simply the best option in town. Great breakfast, walking distance to the tube, safety neibourghood, incredible priceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant stay at a reasonable price"
The hotel can be seen immediately upon exiting the tube which was a huge bonus. Breakfast was also included even though we hadn't requested it. The hotel is approximately 15-20 minutes from the city by tube. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value Hotel"
Located outside London in a more industrial area. There is a convenience/grocery store, a Pub and a Pizza store (Dominos) right across the street. The tube is about a two minute walk from the hotel (Directly behind it) and that was very convenient. Breakfast was OK... The hotel was clean and quiet and the desk staff was helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Can't beat distance to Tube!"
The station was right next to the tube, and also had a bus stop at the front door. There were a couple of convenience stores just steps away, and a pub/restaurant across the street, as well as a coffee house. Although the area seemed clean, it was a few stops further west on the Central Line than I would prefer to stay next visit. The area was pretty […] quiet at night, which meant we slept great. However, it was a little "deserted" which would have made me uncomfortable walking at night alone. There was usually a homeless person sleeping on the walkway up from the tube. The room with a double bed and sleeper sofa was a little crowded with the sofa converted into a bed. Would have preferred two real beds with a little more wiggle room. The room was kind of cramped with 3 people. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place to stay"
Hotel ir nice, in good place, really near to metro station. Room is comfortable. There was only one not very pleasant moment- one night very loud alarm signal started, maybe there was some smoke or fire, maybe someone tried to smoke in wrong place:) Brekfast was ok.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was very nice. The room was nice, clean and good looking but the mattress was a little sunken and was hard on my back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice clean hotel right off Tube stop."
The hotel was right off the Tube (Subway) stop. It made it very convienent. The only thing I thought would be an issue was the earliest we could arrive at LHR was 6:00am. That was under 2 hours from our departure. It did not end up being a problem. It takes about 0:45 to get from LHR to the Tube stop (North Acton on the Central Line). It also took about […] 0:30 - 0:45 to get to the heart of the city as well. If you plan on going back and forth to the city, make sure to purchase an Oyster Card from the Tube station. The bed was small by USA standards. It was booked as a double bed but it was about the size of an American Super Single bed. The room also had a couch but we never really stayed in the room to see how to the couch felt. The bed was firm but supportive. It can be a bit challenging to figure out where the light switches are and which one operates which set of lights. Again, an American limitation. Europeans probably don't have a problem with that. There was a free breakfast. It was cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage links, and a few pastrys. They also had free wifi. You had to get a free code from the front desk. Across the street, there was a pub that had a small food menu. Typical pub/bar foods; Burgers, Nachos, etc. Not much in the way of food beyond the pub so if you want something fancy, eat when you are out and about. There would be a really good chance I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value for London hotel"
Excellent value for a London hotel. Located within 2 minutes walking distance to tube station North Acton. Central London is about 20-25 minutes away by tube. Breakfast included. Wireless is free in room but you need a voucher to use it, and the voucher expires every 24 hours. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location / price"
Location was right at the tube stop and across from a grocery store and pub. Easy to take the tube right to the city center. Nice place and great breakfast. Basically matches a good hotel of this same name in the U.S.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Room was clean and the staff was unbelievably helpful. Breakfast every morning was fresh and provided a wide array off options. The location was a bit outside of central london, but just a short 2 minute walk to the local station. Overall would highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Totally Ruined Our Holiday!"
We checked in on Sunday and the room was set with a double bed and a sofa sleeper. Since it was warm in the room we turned on the AC (Air conditioner) and then went to bed. In the middle of the night the sofa sleeper broke and it got real hot in the room, the AC did not work. We informed the front desk on Monday morning and they told us they would take […] care of it. That night we returned to find the sofa sleeper was folded up and a child's cot in front of it and the AC still not working so we opened the window as far as it would go which was about 6". On Wednesday we told them the AC was still not working and they then told us they would once again have someone look at it. We were then told on Thursday that the AC was out in the enitre building whcih was funny since the AC was working in the lobby at the front desk when they were telling us. After 5 days of not much sleep because of the open window and hearing the construction all night we decided to stay elsewhere on Firday night hoping they would have it fixed by Saturday. Well the weekend manager told me that she ahd no record of it being out and the mantinance person was gone for the weekend and she would tell the general manager who happened to be conveninantly on holiday until the day after we left to go home. The Deputy General Manager told us in an email that the AC was working fine and that we just had too many people in the room. Check out the photo of the AC control. This place ruined our dream holiday in London. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Express By HI Park Royal is Home Away from Home!"
This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the property. It's incredibly convenient (steps away from the N. Acton Tube Station) - incredibly well-maintained - affordable - & comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Other "Express" properties throughout the City have offered me a similar experiences.Genuine Expedia guest review

Well kept hotel with nice breakfast and only 40 minutes by tube to cental London.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Holiday Inn was very comfortable yet quite a distance from prime locations. Easily a 30-45 minute trip to the city, though only minutes from Notting Hill and the best place of all, Shepherd's Bush. Not much is around the hotel except a Tesco Express, a gas station, a car wash and a pub across the street. The breakfast buffet was astonishing and […] yummy: eggs, sausage, beans, and more! Internet is a problem: it's 5 lbs. a day, though you can go to the pub across the street for free internet. The hotel is right next to a tube stop and bus stop, so that's good. The service was exquisite thanks to Chris and Sheeka, though beware of this other Indian girl - she's cheap! But Chris, Sheeka and the others will give you directions and help with bus/tube stops. The cleaning ladies are very hospitable - they threw away our collection of bottles everyday. Also, look at their vacuum for a good laugh. Overall a good stay. "Right off the Tube stop, can't miss it"
Situated on the Central Line (I believe, well it was the red line lol) you literally get off the train and the hotel is right there on the hill. Not far at all from London. Before while I was reading hotel reviews I worried about the distance from the airport and the distance from London, never again will I fear! You take the tube from Heathrow to […] get to the hotel and you take the tube to get to London, easy as pie. The time it takes is probably 30 minutes, but they go by so fast it didn't seem to matter. The room was decent, we booked the full size bed with a pull-out couch. The television was fun. Didn't pay for their wifi, you can find wifi zones in London itself. No complaints with the room. The staff were ok. No raves or grumbling complaints. Though, I'm sure if you needed them for something they would've helped out. The only time I asked them for something was if there was a laundromat nearby, of course she wouldn't tell me yes so I asked the guys at the pub and they knew there was one close by. The surrounding area is nice, as well. I loved the fact there was this pub right there on the corner. Had the nicest people working inside! We were really excited, being new to the U.K. to eat in a real pub haha. There is also a laundromat close-by, probably 10-15min walking that is easy to find. So I used that instead of paying crazy money for the hotel's service (since I was backpacking to 4 different countries for this trip). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I was very pleased with this hotel. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was very clean. It was just around the corner to the Tube station. It was very quiet. "New Wireless Policy--not FREE"
The hotel just recently implemented a new wireless internet policy...it is no longer FREE. We were very surprised by this and a little disappointed when we arrived and were told that we needed to pay 5 pounds per 24 hours. After thinking more about the situation, we asked to speak with the manager and explained that we were led to believe that we would […] have free wireless internet when we purchased the room--in fact this was one of the reasons we decided on this hotel (in addition to price and location). The staff member (not the manager) listened to our concern and gave us internet vouchers. So, beware when purchasing hotel nights...wireless is no longer free. Other than that...the hotel was great! It is so close to the Tube stop (literally right around the corner). The breakfast was also very good, but not so good for a vegetarian-vegan (we bought soy milk at the Tesco Express across the street), although we did appreciate the no-sugar added packages of Alpen--more healthy alternatives, please. Yes, and the Tesco-Express very convenient--it is a little supermarket (right across the street) with everything you need including alcohol. There is also a pub right across the street that looks good, but we did not try it. The downside of this hotel, there is NO mini fridge, but there is a hot water heater for tea-coffee. The location is VERY convenient to the North Acton tube stop, and the tube station is very well maintained, with a very nice garden at the entrance. The room was typically small, but roomy enough for the two of us to move around. An iron was provided, but not an ironing board. Strange... Lot's of construction across the street, but the double window […] arrangement blocked most of it. The hotel is next to a bank and a grocery store. The complimentary breakfast was fine, with the selection of newspapers provided by the hotel an added touch. Not a lot of eating options near the hotel. We chose the Indian place across the street, and were very pleased. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"excellent inexpensive hotel for visiting London"
This hotel is 200 yards safe walk from North Acton tube station. Connections to and from the central line are quick so you can take the tube from Heathrow with a couple of changes and be in North Acton in 45 minutes. Buy an Oyster card at Heathrow for all your tube, bus and river trips. There is a daily maximum and any unused balance as well as the […] five pound deposit is refunded when you leave. Get on the tube trains at the front or back and it is less crowded. Across the street from the hotel is an authentic pub and a Tesco market for groceries. Breakfast is great with cereal, toast, eggs, sausage, beans, yoghurt, coffee, tea, juice etc. The hotel is very quiet, keep your window closed and you won't hear the trains. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are complimentary safe deposit boxes. This is the perfect hotel for a family or travellers who are in London to see the sights and use the hotel as a base. The central line tube will get you into the center of London in 20 minutes, trains are very regular, we never waited more than 5 minutes. This hotel has everything you need and nothing you don't. "Affordable but out of central London"
The hotel is next to the subway. A three minute walk to the station, but a 30 minute ride to central London. Beaware, there is no lift at the station. This can be an issue for those individuals that have more than one bag. Hotel staff are geneally very helpful, but are hindered by not having access to towels and other supplies at night. There is no […] printer available for guests to print out plane tickets, etc. There are three convence stores on the same block as the hotel. The hotel is in a good area. Cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. Very convenient to Heathrow and a short Tube ride to central London. "London Trip 2011"
When I first arrived my check in was done quickly, however we found out that there were only two places to eat that were right there. I felt this was not the best arrangements that I could have made and only made me wish that I would have made my hotel arrangements closer to the downtown area to where I would have had more choices, however I know now […] the next time to pick with in the city and not think about being in a quieter area, lol. So for those who choose to make their stay here realize that you will stay at a nice quiet place however for meals you best eat somewhere prior to coming in the night, I find this is going to be a nightmare come the 2012 games.
