"Worth the price on hotels.com"
Its great for the price. It's exactly what we expect for the price we pay. Only downside is the carpet. Nobody wants carpet in their room. Lease remove that and you get a 4.5 out of 5.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for Nice city-break"
Good location near the station with clean comfortable room with good free wifi. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"location not great"
The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was tidy and very small but probably in line with this type of european hotel. Didn't like the location at all. Drug addicts using the public toilet just down the street as their home, the sights very distressing and felt quite wary when walking back to the hotel after dinner. Room was tiny, ok breakfast and too far from the beach. But convenient for station if you want to see surrounding areas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"value for money hotel"
As described, standard city hotel friendly helpful staffGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was well placed in the town for easy access to transport. The room was lovely, and the staff very friendly. The only down side to the stay was the breakfast provision. To be in France and be served dry bread was disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Exactly as described!"
Excellent staff and service - room and hotel as described.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good staff, poor location"
The rooms are small and dated. The hotel is in quite a poor location, away from the Main tourist area. The hotel is located in the red light district and the 5 minute walk to the tram station to get you into town is lined with prostitutes and several sex shops. The staff at the hotel were really knowledgeable, friendly and spoke good English.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room very small and worn out. Problems with wifi that was supposed to be available in room. Computer downstairs had an outdated keyboard. Needs to be modernized. Mould in bathroom. Could take out the bath which would make the room bigger. Music in foyer to loud when trying to concentrate on using wifi that should have been available in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
First hotel room was dirty (dust everywhere, hair and used soap in the tub). Second room requested was much cleaner but the toilet constantly smelled like a sewer. Location is right across from train station (convenient) but about a 15 min walk from the main restaurant area. Limited food available after 9pm in the area. "Nice - Best Western"
10 mins walk to Promanade des Anglais. Very close to the railway station. Good buffet breakfast. On a main road with lots of traffic. Good value for money.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Handy for Airport Bus"
Room small but clean & comfortable. It looked onto a courtyard, so no traffic noise but outside air conditioning units were rather noisy. Luggage could be left securely during the day. It was about 200m to the airport bus stop. Breakfast was rather basic with no fresh fruit or cold meats.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Practical hotel near railway station"
Functional hotel, small, clean quiet room at the back, kettle and fridge in room. Average breakfast. Lunchbox not supplied with our booking, although reviews imply that it is, so disappointing. Wifi in room, computer and newspaper in foyer. 15 mins from beach.Easy access to trains to Monaco, Menton and into Italy and to the airport, the bus 23 is much […] less expensive than the express airport shuttle. "Good for a short break"
A good hotel for a short stay. It's location is convenient if you want to travel by train to Monaco, Cannes etc which we did on a number of occasions. It's a bit of a trek to the seafront and Old Town but it's quite close to the main shopping street. The hotel itself was good. The room was small but adequate and our room at the back was very quiet. […] The continental breakfast was simple but sufficient and set us up nicely for the day. The reception staff were always polite and helpful. The area around the hotel was a little rundown and typical of that found around stations but we didn't encounter any problems. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small, but OK for two - limited time in room"
Easy to find from the train station if you turn right when you walk out of the station and just cross the street. Close to shopping, Russion Cathedral and a pleasant walk to the Promenade. The elevator is very small and the stairs are curved to the room and be very careful when you enter your room as in ours there were stairs as soon as you open your […] door. Watching TV was a little difficult because you had to sit or lie sideways on the bed instead of the TV being in front of the bed it was on the side. Breakfast was plentiful and buffet style with boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, breads, etc. Staff were courteous and helpful with directions. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good Base for Nice"
The location by the Rail station is good for ease of transfer from airport by the 99 bus and rail. The Staff are welcoming and willing to make your stay enjoyable. The room are cosy but a bit tight for space. There is tea/coffee provided in the room. The room was well maintained and cleaned regularly. The Staff gave good advise on how to get to the […] bus stop for the 100 bus to Monaco/Monte Carlo. Also the trains to Cannes. The buffet breakfast provided was sufficent for us. "Convenient & very friendly!"
The hotel was very easy to find from the railway station and only about 15 mins by bus from the airport. Staff were all very friendly but Norbert was exceptionally helpful and friendly! Very close to tram line & bus links too - or a pleasant walk from Old Town if you prefer. The only thing not ideal about our visit was the weather - but the hotel did […] have umbrellas to lend to residents too! Would definitely go back to Best Western Riviera again! Love the hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location (only 1 min walk to the train station and direct bus link from/to the airport). Takes approx 20 mins to walk to the main area of Nice. The room was clean and convenient and the breakfast was good as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very convenient to train and trams"
We were very pleased with our three night stay in hotel Riviera. The hotel is simple and basic and met our needs for the few days. The receptionist we checked in with was very welcoming and helpful and he was a cheerful addition to the hotel. "Good location for travel connections"
Old hotel in Nice near the railway station. Booked this hotel because it was on the bus route to the airport which we were travelling from the next day. Good for bus services around Nice and easy to get to most places. Public transport is cheap in this area. The streets around the hotel were a bit on the rough side. Some noise from the road although […] we were on the sixth floor so not too bad. Free breakfast was OK but not exceptional. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Easy location and links to the rest of the Riviera"
Hotel was well situated for us close to the main rail station (100m) which had a direct bus link to the airport (bus 99) which meant we came out of the airport, got on a bus and got dropped 100m from the hotel. Being so close to the rail station we were easily able to explore Monaco and Cannes which are both only about 30 minutes away. Tram at the end […] of the road if you do not like walking, but only 15 minutes down to the old town anyway. Not the hotel to stay in if you want a nice view or want to be in the centre or in the old town, mainly for sleeping and as a base to start and finish your day. Continental breakfast was included in our price. Staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpfull. Compfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities in the room along with fridge. Overall we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and enjoyed our stay. We had no problems with any aspect of our stay at the hotel and would not hesitate to recommend to friends. "The Best Value in Town"
Simply the best value you'll find, ever! Staff were wonderful, very welcoming and whilst the rooms are compact and the area is typical "transit" territory being near the station the hotel was faultless - good breakfast AND a worthwhile lunch pack with sandwich, fruit, drink and crisp. Excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff were very helpful. Hotel is rather tired and a number of breakfast electrical items didn't work. Location of the Hotel was excellent fo rus being very close to the rail stationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice time in Nice"
This hotel was made all the better due to the staff of the hotel. Helpful at all times. My only real criticism was the size of the room that was not obvious from the photos which I have no doubt made it more difficult to hoover. Other than that, book direct with the hotel, it will be cheaper.Genuine Expedia guest review
Buffet breakfast and free wifi was very nice. Room was a little cramped but clean. Hotel staff were very nice and professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cost Effective Hotel with Excellent Services"

"Reasonable hotel close to railway station"
The hotel was quite nice. The room was smaller than expected and although a suitcase stand was provided there was not much space to put it up. We only had one large towel in the room, and had to ring for a second one. Otherwise the service was pretty good - we arrived first thing in the morning and although we could not check in so early, they looked […] after our luggage for us, gave us a map and explained how to get to the centre of Nice without us asking them. However, when I wanted them to make a phone call to confirm a hotel pick-up time for a tour we had booked for the following day, they wouldn't do it, apparently because they were too busy that time of day - seemed to think it unimportant although our voucher said to confirm the time a day in advance. (The tourist office rang for us, however.) We did appreciate the provided packed lunch. We chose this hotel because it was close to the railway station and (as usual for such a location) the area was not the best and it was a bit of a hike to the main shopping street and down to the coast. May not stay in this area again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Excellent location opposite side of road to Nice main Railway station and a Multi Storey car park. We had a main road facing room with no noise disturbance at night. Excellent Services with nice room. Very close to the train station and town centre. It's just 20 mins train journey away from Monaco. For people who cannot afford the high hotel prices in Monte Carlo, this is absolutely value for money. Will come again in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location to do everything!!!"
Yes, it is a little bit of a walk to the main area, but if you don't mind that (I didn't) then it is a great hotel (esp. for early morning trains out of Nice). But the neighborhood is dodgy and walking around at night wasn't the safest.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It's a decent budget hotels. Rooms are very small and the walls are very thin, and you have to walk for 10 minutes to get down to the beach and most popular restaurants. Slightly uncomfortable area at night, good if you're traveling by train.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a 3 Star this is a really good quality hotel, ideally close to the train station and Airport. They even throw in a free lunch box every day. Not many hotels do that. Overall really impressed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean but basic"
Luckily we had two rooms at the hotel as our balcony door refused to open and despite asking a couple of times for it to be looked at it never did. Some of the staff were very friendly others less so. The rooms were adequate and the beds were very comfortable. The Bathroom was nice and clean. You get tea and coffee and a welcome drink and a lunch bag […] on your first day. Shame they haven't got a bar. Although Nice is quite expensive the public transport is very cheap. "Good hotel for the single traveller."
The hotel is on the good side of functional. Whilst the location is ideal for transportation, it is a 20 minute walk from the key attractions. The area is a little shabby/undesirable, but keeping to the busy main road at night was no extra bother. The service from staff was good, with most being multi-lingual for those with little French. On arrival […] I was handed a map & offered a brief intro to the city. The amenities were fine, with the room covering all the necessities i.e. comfortable bed, shower, air-con etc though I was unable to activate the heating. I arrived early & forgot the check-in time, but was allowed to leave my case with reception until 2pm. I did still have to wait a little while to check-in, and towels were provided for me later. Breakfast was simple continental, which was fine, though those expecting a little more for 3 stars & above would be disappointed. The basic lunchbox (sandwich, fruit, drink, crisps) was inconsistent and not provided on the bank holiday. I received a complimentary drink at a time of my choosing, and used the free wifi. Checking out was a little awkward but no bother, and I left my case until later in the evening at no extra charge. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, the hotel served its purpose acceptably, though those seeking a more immediate/extravagant experience of Nice might prefer to stay closer to the centre.
