Location is fantastic - across the street from Pavillion, a swanky mall and within walking distance to shopping and dining. Rooms are nicely appointed - some with views of the Petronas Towers. Breakfast is amazing - lots of varieties, good quality with very nice service. Westin KL is my go-to-hotel in KL.

Very friendly, attentave, and helpful hotel staff. Just across the street from the Pavilion - a huge shopping mall with banks, currency exchange, pharmacy, grocery store, food court and upscale restaurants. Within 200 yds from Lot 10 - another shopping mall with a food court. A recently built shopiing mall called the Fahrenheit is 100 yds away. Not […] familiar with this one. Within 15 min walk behind the hotel is a self serve coin operated 24/7 laundromat with coins and soap dispenser. Hotel staff will provide direction to laundromat. Stayed in a Westin Executive Club Room, which was clean and spacious. Though the toilet was not working (fixed) and the bathtub didn't have hot water (didn't bother getting it fixed) ... Staff was surprisingly curt and somewhat incompetent. Had to pressure them to find an iphone charger (or a USB port to use my charger) ... too easily resorted to "cannot," […] or "we don't have it" or "not possible." There was a surprising apathy towards guest needs. When asked where to eat given the late hour, I was suggested McDonalds, but a short walk brought me to an area with many open restaurants. Location is excellent in the heart of KL. And I was offered a late checkout and free internet for SPG Gold Members, however I was told I'm not accruing any points because I booked through Expedia (pretty sure that's not true). Read more

Good ceentral location in the city with a large upscale shopping mall across the street. Convienient elevated walkway next to the Pavilion leading to the KLCC and Aquaria KL. Cultural and craft center is nearby. Arab town is a few blocks aeay if you fancy Arabic food. Taxis readily available to other locations. The taxis are all very clean and comfortable. […] Monorail station is neaby that takes you to KL Sentral, the transportation hub for trains to the rest of the country, commuter trains to surrounding communities, and the express train to KLIA. A wide variety of food - Chinese, Indian, Malay, European is available with the breakfast buffet. Did not try any of the other restaurants within the hotel. Swiming pool is great. A coin operated laundromat is available on Imbi Rd just behind the hotel about a 10 min walk. Read more

great hotel, great view, spacious rooms, excellent bathrooms, and updated electronics (i.e. flat panel tv. and dvd players), and it's directly across from one of the biggest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion. and only a block down are more shopping malls, like Fahrenheit 88.

Good location, but the service was less than ideal. The pool area had ants near the entrance, and my room had some flies. There were often vacuums and other items just sitting in the hallway near my room, and the rooms are so close I could hear the children in the room next to me all night. Our room did not have a proper dresser to put put our clothes into, which was annoying, and the closet was small. The service was pleasant but not memorable. And our Westin limo from the airport took us on a joy ride a half hour out of the way, for a trip that is already at least 40-60 minutes to the hotel, after we had been travelling for 7 hours...it […] was 10:30 at night, we were starving, it was raining and we had a 10 year old child with us. After the initial issue with check in, the rest of the stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Really appreciated the upgrade to Executive floor where the staff were really nice and customer focused. Impressed with the Exec Lounge. Interesting about the Cuban Bar and it's activities. Was entertainment for us.

The hotel is located right in front of Pavillion shopping centre and close to other shopping areas. Location wise it's great. Although the bedroom and bathroom are showing some age, they are reasonably clean and adequate in size. Ask for room with Petronas Tower view if you can afford. Great view at night. Most Westin hotels are very good. This one in KL offers the reasonably high standards of service. The door men are very helpful and arrange taxis to the airport, guide you to places of interest etc. The in room spa is a very convenient feature.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the monorail and good shopping. The service at the hotel is exceptionally good with exemely friendly staff who are always willing to help. I had breakfast each day there and this was fantastic!! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you.

This was our first time in KL, the hotel was located close to public transport which is an easy option from the airport to the Westin. The staff were very professional and helpful, all request were dealt with quickly. We had a fantastic view of one of the petronas towers, and they were only a 15 min walk away. The breakfast was fantastic!

The Westin KL does provide complimentary coffee in the room. However , it wasnt something like nespresso or a simple 3 in 1 sachet. Rather its a pre ground pre packed heat sealed traditional coffee only to be done in the press flash in order to have a cup of morning coffee in the room. Too much trouble for a morning cup of joe.

For lesser amount, we found Crowne Plaza or other hotels such as Maya in the vicinity of the Twin tower much better in terms of room decor or upkeep. All these hotels also include breakfast in the same room tariff which by itself is lesser than Westin. Upgraded to an executive level room upon arrival. Gave access to the new executive lounge on level 3. It's huge and they serve a huge variety of food and drinks for breakfast buffet and evening 'drinks' which are all complimentary if you're in an executive room. You could conceivably eat enough for breakfast until 10am when the shopping malls open to […] last you to dinner time. Then come back for evening drinks and fill up enough for another shopping burst until 10pm. There weren't enough towels in the room upon arrival but the staff were so apologetic upon notification and rushed us heaps of extra towels as soon as we told them about the problem. The KL Westin front desk resembles more of a 4 star hotel. It has not got the feel of luxury at first glance as the hotel staff are in casual attire. The executive club was over rated. It was not worth the extra price. One would expect the club lounge would serve up a decent breakfast. However one could get a superb breakfast in the Living Room. Free wi fi in the breakfast hall was a welcome feature but telephone charges from the hotel. were exorbitant and most unreasonable. the hotel location is central to the main shopping strip but warn your driver who is coming to pick you as the driveway to the hotel is easily missed. The hotel is relatively modern, and located on the popular Jln Bintang strip, so it's close to great shopping, bars and restaurants. We'd stayed in another hotel in KL only days before on the other side of the Petronas towers, and the difference is truly remarkable. The […] staff provided great service with no expectation of tipping (i.e. unspoiled by American travel customs) to perform basic tasks like opening doors, calling a taxi, or delivering your bags to your room. While the hotel is not exactly a reflection of Malaysian culture, and is located in a very 'touristy' area, it is exactly what the weary traveller/tourist/businessman would want. The only negative about this hotel is the lack of free wifi internet access in the rooms (although it's free in the lobby). Hint: Join SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) before you stay to get a room on the special SPG-only higher floors. It's free. Read more
