"Beautiful wedding venue!"
My husband and I stayed at the Omni Mount Washington over Valentine weekend for both a romantic getaway and to attend a friends wedding. We could not have enjoyed our time more! We had an evening sleigh ride and then a romantic dinner at Stickneys. We also used the indoor hot tub and ventured out through the brisk winter weather to the heated outdoor […] pool! The wedding on Saturday was beautifully done and the food was amazing! I have raved about our weekend to anyone that will listen! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"We were disappointed!"
My husband and I visited for our one-year wedding anniversary and were disappointed by absolutely everything about the hotel EXCEPT for the beauty. The hotel is gorgeous and the surrounding mountains/grounds are too. However, the service was the worst I have received at any hotel, period. We were ignored upon walking into almost every restaurant either […] because the hostess was not present or they were so busy that they were bussing tables. Servers would look right at us and then walk by as if we weren't standing there. They have gentlemen who run the elevators and we were "shooed" away from entering the elevator because he already had 2 guests in it. The walls are PAPER thin and I heard the people in the room next to me talking, sneezing, you name it. Everything is overpriced and there are not enough food options. Disappointing to say the least. "Best time of 2013"
It was great from check-in to check-out, the valet team was very professional and helpful. They helped us with our bags and parked our car, the gentleman that help us with our bags was very nice and friendly. Our first day we were tired decided to stay in, second day we try to go snow boarding but it was raining so we decided to go out for breakfast. […] At night we went to Fabyans the food wasn't out of this world but it was good for the price, The next day we made reservations to go snow boarding and do the Canopy tour(zip lining) it was the best is so worth it and so much fun the gentlemen that took us up there were very profesional very funny and fun, if you go to Bretton woods you need to do the Canopy tour. After a long day we decided to make reservations for dinner at the restaurant located in the hotel basement, the food was delicious our server was very prompt and pleasant. In had the steak it was very good and tasty, I highly recommended. The price is reasonable, The cleanliness of the room was very good. The location was just perfect to get away from the noise city of Boston. Once again I had the time of my life, don't for get to do the Canopy Tour. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint, quiet spot in the mountain"
A lovely old wooden hotel with lots of charm but also modern amenities. We missed out on snow when we were there but took a great walk on some trails right off the property. No stores or shopping in the immediate vicinity so.... bring your little essentials. You can buy things in the shops in there basement but $$$ be prepared for convenienceGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spectacular view - very expensive"
We went there as a Thanksgiving treat. This is a fabulous resort hotel along with the characteristic that EVERYTHING costs extra. There is a resort fee which doesn't include anything we used since we were there for the views. However there was a lot on offer especially in the grounds such as snow making so the kids could sled and fire braziers set up […] for anyone to settle down by. Rooms have no coffee making facilities which was a pain. Standard rooms are quite small but the views make up for it. The central great hall is very comfortable and a nice place to enjoy a drink. Plenty of room for kids to roam too. Dining was tricky as they seem to have fewer available seats than guests so even if you reserve earlier in the day you may not get a good dining time, Food was excellent but not a huge selection. Quite expensive too. I would stay there again if I could afford it but I can't! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Watching the fog lifting to expose Mt. Washington each morning. Friendly staff, many with accents and always with name tags noting their origin. Food was terrific and the 24/7 shuttle service is a great perk.Genuine Expedia guest review
"So like stepping into a postcard!"
Enjoyed the atmosphere of this grand hotel ..staff was very pleasant! We will be returning again to this hotel. Bring fleece pull overs and comfortable shoes at freezing temps there might be a draft or two in the halls and lobby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dead and live flyies in the room. very upsetting"
The hotel was beautiful. except for the flies in the roomGenuine Expedia guest review
The facilities are great. I left fairly annoyed over a mixup over our reservation, though. I had called to say that we wouldn't be able to make it up for the first night of our reservation. The next day when we arrived we found that our reservation was cancelled anyway. They 'reinstated' the reservation, but we still had to wait around until the standard […] 3:00 checkin time before they called us to let us know that a room had become available. Given that I being charged for the first night (I was, and I understand/expected this), I'd expect to be able to actually check-in immediately and use the last few hours that I was paying for. Beautiful, historic hotel with friendly staff & great location.Genuine Expedia guest review
Renovations were being made to the property during my visit. Very noisy during the day. Scaffling was right outside the window, therefor no view. However, I will return after the renovations are complete. Location excellent with plenty to do outside: walks, hiking, golf, tennis, swimming, etc. Well worth the trip, despite the construction. "A little disappointed"
Hotel location is a little out of the way (30 minutes driving from Downtown). But backdrop of Mt Washington is really beautiful. Since the hotel has been open since 1902. Personally, I think the room need a lot of update/modernize. The heat radiator(!!!!) keep making hissing and cranking sound whole night long in our room, which make sleeping very difficult. […] We had dinner in one of the on site restaurants, Stickney. Foods are either cold or lukewarm (e.g. I had a burger with clips. Burger is lukewarm; fried clips are stonecold). Don't understand why. The next morning breakfast buffet is very good in the "Fine Dining" Restaurant, though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I have never reviewed a hotel before but this one was really wonderful. It has been restored to perfection. Service exceeded expectations. Loved the hotel tour and the guide was so good. "Nice, but Overpriced"
This was a very nice looking stop in our New England travels, but was somewhat over rated and over priced for the experiance we had. The food venues seemed to close early, leading to room service or a long drive off the property for food. I still do not know what I received for my $25 per day "resort fee". The Omni Mount Washington is a stately gem set in a breathtaking location. The rooms were beautifully appointed and very spacious; and the ambiance was luxurious, but at the same time warm and welcoming. Be sure to take in the mountain views with a cocktail on the sweeping veranda, and when the temperature dips, head into the tavern downstairs for a […] delicious meal. This is a beautiful hotel - lobby, restaurants, public space, staff and amenities BUT the rooms are old, cramped, very noisy from above and the hallway. Not a luxury experience at all at these prices! The bathroom was updated and beds comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great Grand Hotel with up-to-date upgrades.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Omni. Having never been to New Hampshire we had no idea of what to expect. The area, the resort, the views, the service...it exceeded our expectations many times over. Although our King room did not have a particularly great view it was still an extremely comfortable and very spacious room.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel was absolutely spectacular. The staff was exceptional, the hotel was spotless and the views from the hotel were breathtaking. We came to the hotel to celebrate a birthday and it was more than I could have expected. "Elegant and Accessible"
Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Even though many people were dressed in fancy garb, no one blinks an eye when others wear hiking clothes, evidence of the "neighborhood" and access to all things outdoors. "Good, but not excellent"
This hotel saw better days when it was built in 1902 and run for the top of the society. Today it is a family resort with many attractions, and a SPA. However, the concept does not aim to the exquisite customers who are willing to pay top rates for excellent service, but at families who need a good deal in a pleasant resort. The building and infrastructure […] is still very impressive, and has a special appeal given its history. However, comfort falls somewhat short as it was built during times when other standards prevailed. Most disappointing, however, is the general attitude of staff who don't serve you proactively. This was a last minute decision for my girlfriend and I to leave the big city of Boston this weekend for some much needed R&R. I am so glad that we could even get accommodations. When I called the reservation number I was advised that you were booked but I was able to go through expedia and get lucky. Anyway, from the time we entered the long driveway […] and got a look at this majestic white castle with its stunning red roof we were in awe. I have stayed in the area several times but this is the first and hopefully not the last time that I visit and stay in this absolutely beautiful resort. We both loved that it has been saved and rebuilt. From pulling up at the entrance, we were greated by "Caitlin" and two young men who immediately took our bags and showed us to the front desk. They valet my car and were most helpful. The front desk personnel, especially the woman with the British accent, ( I wish I could remember her name) was most helpful. We were greeted with the BIGGEST of smiles and hello's. By the time we checked in, Caitlin was at our room door with our bags. She was most helpful and gracious. We called and made a reservation for the MAIN dining room and from checking in to our three servers we couldn't be more please in the staff or the food choices. We next enjoyed the "CAVE" for a little dancing and meeting new people. We then enjoyed sitting by the indoor fire place and strolling about the property and just taking in all its beauty. We loved it all. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Easy ride from hotel to Cog Railway"
We were generally very happy with our accommodations with one significant exception - the dinner we had in the main dining room (Monday, 7/22/13). As we were leaving after our "dinner" our waiter apologized to us, saying (in broken English) that he was working his very first day at the hotel. He was incredibly slow and he appeared to be unfamiliar with […] his new surroundings. Clearly, as a new employee, he should have been closely supervised, but no such supervision was apparent. The biggest mistake he made was not telling us about the main course buffet line, which was located in a poorly-illuminated corner of the room. We only noticed the main course buffet as we were leaving. Our $120+ dinner consisted of a salad bar, dinner rolls, deep fried chicken tenders, and mac and cheese. Breakfast the next morning was much better, with a great buffet, and a more knowledgeable and efficient server. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Ended up here on a whim one night after the grueling heat in a cottage without AC became too much. The staff was outstanding in every area of the hotel. "Beware Summer 2013 Construction"
Have been to the Mt. Washington many times over the years and attended a wedding there this past weekend. It's really one of my all-time favorite places - turning into the long drive and seeing the glorious white building ... gasp! Covered with construction tarps and scaffolding ... and the beautiful, bold red roof ... gone! A dreadful orange in its […] place. Would have hated to be there when the construction crews are on-site during the week - right outside our bathroom window. The Mt. Wash is still magnificent ... but it reminds me when booking to ask if renovations are underway ... improvements are inevitable but this has happened to us at other hotels. In this case, since we were attending a wedding there also, it was the logical place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We were 1st very disappointed when we entered our room with the view of scaffolding from renovations, we were not told of this & spending $234 a night expected mtn view like our reservation stated, after a phone call to the service desk we were moved to an AMAZING room with awesome views, great customer service, we traveled with 2 other couples & this […] was the room to be in !Everywhere is clean & beautiful, take the hotel tour it's very interesting, food was awesome, lots of places to sneak away with great views.I don't think the outdoor pool was 80degrees though, that was a bit disappointing, but overall we had an amazing time in a beautiful place, everywhere you looked! "Honestly, Just OK"
I wasn't overly thrilled with our stay here. It's under construction at the moment, which isn’t noted when you are booking. It isn't nearly as lavish with all the scaffolding surrounding the front of the building. The bar area was closed, so our only option was the restaurant on site or room service. Being it was the only restaurant on location that […] was open it was booked. With our only other option being room service (A $15 club sandwich with a 30% markup for tax and gratuity was not my idea of a nice dinner). We had to leave the location for dinner (half an hour to the nearest decent restaurant). All in all the rooms was small. It had some old charm, but if you aren’t into the creaky floors and old architecture you would just as easily call charm more run down than anything. Maybe it’s nice when not under construction and you can have access to the amenities it boasts about. But this trip was sub par. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A romantic place with a lot of European feeling"
The Grand Dame of Hotels in the North East: Beautiful !! Inside and outside and surroundings. We spent one night beginning of May 2013. This is pre-season, with some advantages: We had the entire hotel with all its amenities pretty much for ourselves, including the in-door pool and the gym. But the cog rail up to Mt. Washington was not in operation […] yet. If you are looking for a romantic place with a lot of European feeling, this is it. Food and everything else was good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel - not so nice time."
Stayed there two nights for the first time with my wife and son as part of his April school vacation. While the hotel is beautiful and the staff very professional, I have to say our stay was disappointing. Basically, there was very little to do. We knew we were visiting between ski and summer season but had no idea the hotel was going to be half shut […] down. The "year round" heated outdoor pool was closed for renovations - this was not divulged to us in advance. This was a major issue as our nine year old was so excited to spend a lot of time swimming. The indoor pool is ok but it's just not the same. Stickney's was closed for the week. Likewise, so was the restaurant over at the Bretton Arms Inn which was highly recommended. I was told over the phone about Fabyan's Station down the street being a nice casual alternative but that too was closed Mon-Tues. Even The Cave, the bar we had heard great things about from friends, was closed the nights we were there - and yet the concierge himself told us how much we were going to enjoy it. With no other options we made dinner reservations at The Dining Room for both nights. We went Monday night and thought the dinner was just ok. Certainly not worth the $200+ we spent. My wife's scallops were chewy and my swordfish steak was overcooked (it was firm, didn't flake). So, we canceled Tues reservations and instead drove a half hour to Bailiwick's in Littleton where we enjoyed a very nice dinner. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
