Stayed for 1 night 2 adults plus child aged 9, hotel in good location for going into London. But was very dissapointed when going into there pub for dinner that night and told no children after 6pm. So we ate our meal in the foyer balanced on our laps not ideal. If you are going to market yourself as family friendly then that is not on.

Having read all the reviews I was really looking forward to this hotel. But I definitely won't be going back. My girlfriend and I chose the crown moran mainly because of it's leisure facilities - we were looking for a few days away to relax. Big mistake! Unless the price is way cheaper than anything else DON'T STAY HERE. The sauna was out of order (see earlier review from 6 months ago saying the same thing) , the jacuzzi looked like it hadn't been used in years and was closed off and the so called "irish" breakfast was no better than your average hotel breakfast (by the way, trying to get some ketchup was an ordeal). As well as this they didn't have half of what was stated on the room service menu, I asked three days for a newspaper to be left to my room and never got one (a different excuse from the front desk each day) and the phone in the room was broken. Please be very wary of the reviews for this hotel as they are very misleading. The staff seemed nice but in the end we just wanted to leave.

This hotel is outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The only inconvenience is that it takes some time (about 45-60 minutes) to get to the main downtown area of London. It is in a small, diverse neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and pubs; so it doesn't feel isolated. It's a short overground train ride to Camden town markets. If you have a good book for the tube rides, and you want a really nice hotel with big rooms for a low price, this is the hotel for you.

I, a single father, took children of 10 and 11 for three nights to an hotel with a swimming pool. We toured Wembley stadium and Lords on successive days, a unique and interesting concept spoiled by the hotel staff's lack of preparedness to provide directions to such important local landmarks. Yes, the staff were of foreign birth (and perfectly pleasant) but so what... Local travel from the hotel was difficult; this is a local Irish hotel with newish rooms tacked on, not a purpose-built 4-star hotel. International guests may find taking a London bus novel but they have no choice - you could not walk to a train from the hotel, partly because of the great distance, partly because of the rough nature of the area. The children's key feature, the pool, was dull and its central feature was a jacuzzi plastered with signs boasting of its brokenness. During our four days, the jacuzzi received no attention. The sauna door scraped on the ground alarmingly and another tatty sign indicated that staff needed to be asked in advance to turn it on. The gym was the highlight of the holiday as it admitted children, unusually but sensibly. The bedroom was of reasonable size but the bedspreads were unwelcomingly tired. The food was good, the breakfast excellent. This not a memorable hotel. We parked onsite which was free as we ate in the hotel each evening. The hotel's close to the North Circular road.

This hotel is unique for a couple of reasons: First, it's truly a 4-star hotel, both in amenities and in service (sometimes that's not the case with hotels with the rating). Secondly, it's sort of an "island" in the middle of a mixed neighborhood that doesn't have a Starbucks within walking distance. So what are the negatives? The ONLY negative is its LOCATION, and that's probably why the price is palatable. A short bus ride is needed to reach the nearest Tube station, or a walk of at least 15min is required. The employees of this hotel go out of their way to be accommodating, the room appointments are very nice and look very new. The maid service is regular and excellent, and the included breakfast was superb. Now, was it worth it in view of the relatively-isolated location? I would say yes, and I would suggest trying it to make that decision for yourselves.

Myself and my boyfriend booked one double room for a night to see the Maddonna concert. We checked in at 3 and a few minutes later we were relaxing on the bed! The hotel is stunning, glass walls and 5 bars - with a nice atrium. The staff are all professional and courtious (and didn't bat an eyelid when two blokes wanted a double bed). The room-service is a little pricey, £20 for a basic steak meal, but the hotel is on a main road which includes Burger King, KFC, MacDonalds, Restaurants, Local Shops and transport links. If you want to get to Wembley from the hotel, walk down ChiChel Road to Winsden Green tube (juberliee)...there are also numerous buses which travel down to the station if it's raining or you don't feel like walking. One thing to note, the lift buttons are confusing the first time you use them. "Ground Floor" is actually level 2, with levels G and 1 being car parks and basements. *** Highly Recommended ***

A very nice hotel good service, only bad point was the room we had which was a non smoking room smelt terribly of smoke - not sure if someone had smoked in the room previous or the smell was coming from rooms below/above. Being sensitive to smoke this kept me awake during the nights. Despite this I would use and recommend the hotel again but would ensure the above were resolved. An ideal base away from London centre but easibly accessible. 10 minutes walk to the tube station approx another 15 minutes into London centre. similar for Wembly stadium.

My husband and I were quite impressed with this hotel. We were surprized when our suit case was taken to our room, a nice touch. Also we felt the lobby was beautiful. The gym and pool facilities were good but the gym was hot, could do with air conditioning. Our room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very filling with a good choice of menu. The location helped us in that we could park the car in the hotel and use public transport to visit friends and family, all over LONDON. So a great time spent here.
