Had to spend one night in Wiesbaden unexpectedly and just wanted something clean, comfortable and safe. The location was perfect, as it was only 2 block from the center square, however, the hotel itself is on a back, narrow street that made me a bit uncomfortable, though we had no problems at all. This hotel is about a 10 minute bus ride from the Main Train Station, however, it is in an area known as "Little Istanbul", which is not primarily German but instead middle eastern. It is close to shopping main streets and area. The breakfast is not worth it so do not buy it if you are used to German standards. They also have some strange rule to leave your key with them when you leave and get it back upon return. If you leave without turning in your key and they are at the desk, they will stop you. The hotel is very nice by European standards. Not quite up to an American's expected level of comfort (small shower, small beds, no air conditioner, etc.), but very nice for Germany. The breakfast, though a little pricey, was very nice every day: cold cuts, great breads, cereal, yoghurts, even scrambled eggs and cocktail sausages. The staff were all […] very helpful and polite. Upon first driving up to the hotel, we were a little concerned with the immigrant/exotic flavor of the neighborhood, but it was safe and we had no problems; it was just a little lively--people out at cafes, car doors closing, etc., on the street until ~2 am most nights. The parking area was fine, but a little tight for a medium or larger car--tight even to pull into the parking area from the street, especially if the cars on the street were too close to the entrance. Hotels.com also listed the nightly parking rate incorrectly; the hotel charged us 2 euros more per day. Hotel was also within a two-minute walk to Wiesbaden's pedestrian zone, and even closer to a few doner kebab/pizza shops (mmm, tasty). All in all, a very nice, clean, and modern _German_ hotel. If you're not expecting an American-style Hilton, I would recommend it, and I would definitely stay there again. Read more

The hotel was overall nice. The lobby was always clean and a clerk was always at the first desk. We encountered an issue with the tv and phone in our room (it wouldn't work) and they went beyond my expectations to resolve the issues. Just DON'T stay at this hotel. There was no sheets, bath room was so dirty and wasn't cleaned up anything after previous costumer used when I checked in this hotel. We could changed to another room, but there was not enough towels. They use hand soap for shampoo...No TV, No Kettle...there was only beds... So many things are wrong for usual hotel service. The City Hotel Wiesbaden is a good, clean place if you just need a place to sleep and shower. The furnishing are not brand-new but they are clean and comfortable. The hotel is just across a (busy) street from the Innenstadt, and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, both low-price and fine dining. I was able to easlily get to and from the Hessen Archive for just a few Euros each day. Sehr freundliches Hotel und wunderbar schmackhaftes Frühstück. Gegenüber kann man beim besten Türken Wiesbadens essen, Obst und Gemüseläden liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Nähe zur Innenstadt ist ideal. ich komme sicher wieder.

Hotel liegt in "Klein Istanbul" von Wiesbaden, aber sehr zentral. Das ist auch das beste daran, das Personal ist bemüht aber nicht sonderlich professionell. Zum Schläfen reicht es, das Frühstück bekommt man in den zahlreichen, netten Cafés der Altstadt besser, günstiger und in netterer Atmosphäre.

The hotel is in the very centre, in very vibrant street with a good few shops and pretty restaurants.The staff on reception is marvelous, cooperative. I spent only one night in City, had no breakfast, so I cannnot say anything about it. But on the whole I'm satisfied :-)

Einfaches Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Netter, unkomplizierter Service. Das Zimmer war ruhig, die Austattung eher einfach ohne Schnickschnack, in gutem Zustand und sauber. Die Straße des Hotels ist relativ eng und ziemlich belebt, mit Imbissen und günstigen Einkaufsläden.
