"Avoid this Hotel!"
This hotel was rated 4 stars. Not a chance! Location is good, walking distance to Collisseum, the tomb of V. Emanuel and Trevi Fountn, with quaint streets and typical Italian restaurants nearby. Hotel itself, however, would be rated 2 Stars in the US. It is over-priced, even for Rome. The building is old and appears to be converted apartment. Lobby […] is unimpressive and reception area tiny. The restaurant is expensive, dark, no windows and completely unimpressive. Rooms are fairly good size and clean, with modern bathroom but the worst shower I have seen in twenty years. It has a half-size glass 'curtain' that inevitably results in water all over bathroom floor. Placement of European-style shower makes it virtually impossible to stand under without contorting your body like a circus performer. The staff, with sole exception of the bellman, was totally disinterested andunhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, for whatever reason, it was impossible. Despite the fact we were arriving at the hotel at 10:30 am from overnight flight, were exhausted and had made arrangements 3 months in advance to get into our room early, they found it impossible and made us wait, with young daughter, until 2 pm. And they don't exchange dollars. When I tried to exchange 20 dollars so I had some money for tips, they told me they did not exchange dollars and directed me two blocks away. What kind of 4 star intl hotel doesn't exchange $ ? Stay far away from this place! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The best budget hotel in Rome"
We stayed five nights in this hotel. We are happy with the service. The hotel location is very near most of the tourist sites in Rome. There are a grocery store across the street of this hotel and many good restaurants and bakery next door. The staffs were very helpful and polite. They helped us book restaurant reservations and showed us which buses […] to take. The Via Nazional is full with restaurants and expensive shops. The hotel also not too close nor too far from a train station. It only costs ten euros for a taxi fare from the train to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is good . We ate dinner there one night when all other restaurants near by were closed. We will stay in this hotel again if we are in Rome. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good choice for vacation stays"
The hotel was nice. Large room and bathroom, especially for European standards. The TV did not work, but we didn't spend much time in the room, so it wasn't an issue for us. Staff was very friendly and reception was helpful. The location was just a few blocks from a metro stop and close to a lot of the major attractions. Overall, good location and good […] price. "Not a four star hotel"
Good location, friendly service, clean rooms, but definitely not a 4 star hotel...maybe 4 out of 8. The rooms are tiny...proximity of the bathroom door to the bed is challenging...There isn't really a lobby, just some chairs along a corridor. Looks different in person than in pictures. Stayed at a different 4 star hotel on the way back through Rome...no […] comparison. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Mid-Point from Termini to the Center"
I thought the Hotel was a great value for the rate I got through Hotel.com. Easy walk from Termini, plus gets you out of some of those shaddier areas directly surrounding the train station, and closer to the big items of the city center. Staff was really pleasant while we were there. Overall a great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the perfect place for a stay in Roma and the rooms are mpdern and clean. Located on Via Nationale, one is walking distance to everything including Termini. The front desk staff was polite and professional. Highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and value"
Clean, comfortable rooms; good breakfast with variety. Staff helpful and pleasant. Easy walk to all the sights of Rome. Rooms small and hotel a bit spread out in different wings, but otherwise a nice hotel and a very good value for Rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good hotel for the price"
The room was small compared to the hotels we stayed at in Venice and Florence but it was clean and comfortable. Air confitioning is on everywhere including the lobby and hallways. Continental breakfast was decent. Free wifi. Location is convenient: Bus stop right in front of the hotel and metro is a 5-min walk away.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Okay if you book as a budget level hotel"
This hotel is in a good location and has all of the basics you need for your stay with them. They will address any question or request that you have however they do so with an attitude of 'we're doing you a favor' I felt they were a bit condescending. Did not look me in the eye, gave short, abrupt and terse answers to my questions and acted rather irritated […] when I asked to repeat one piece of info. The rooms are small but okay. "Small but usual for Europe"
Wifi was average. Room and bathroom were small and shower very small so may be an issue for anyone over 6 ft and/or 200 lbs. Staff was fine; we did not ask for room to be cleaned so can't comment on that. Location was quite good with bus stopping right in front of hotel and main train/subway/bus station (Termini) a short 10 min walk or 5 min bus ride […] away in addition to another metro station 1/4 mile away. "Modern room but paper-thin walls"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel while on vacation in Rome. We loved the modern and clean look of our room, although it was a bit small. It took us a few minutes to realize that we had to "plug in" our room key into a little socket on the wall to allow power to the room, but we thought this was a great solution for conserving energy. One obvious […] negative for this hotel is that the walls are paper thin. For our first few nights we were adjacent to a crying baby, and then the subsequent several nights we were adjacent to someone with a chronic cough. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, and we would recommend it to friends and family. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not a real 4 star hotel"
My wife and myself stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the of May. The location of hotel is perfect fot touring around Rome w/o use of any transportation. We used metro once to get to Vatican but walked back through various sites. We got a renovated room (533) at the end of 5 floor in right wing. There is no connection between the wings so each wing […] gets one elevator though fast enough. On the way to our room there are few steps along the corridor so you have to lift the luggage. I believe that the hotel could arrange some ramp to solve the problem. The size of room was big enough for two people but no more than that. After reviewing a floor map we discovered that there are bigger and smaller rooms. There was a shower cabin in our bathroom instead of tub but it was OK with us as the cabin was big enough for two. Many other rooms have tubs so if it is an issue for you remind to demand it during the reservation. Though the room was renovated there were scratches and broken edges on the furniture which should be taken care by 4 star hotel, IMO. We found that the bed and the pillows were not comfortable for us and did not gave us a good night sleep. The walls are not sound proof which we found out on our 3 night. The biggest problem was the smell of sewage in the bathroom. We asked the receptionist to solve the problem. But her body language let us understand that they very well aware to the problem and though they promised to send maintenance guy, it will not help Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our initial checkin left a lot to be desired---young woman at the desk was unfriendly and disinterested not even procuring a porter for our 2 rooms and 6 bags. The modern rooms were nicely remodeled but SMALL, my son and I could barely walk around the beds.We moved to a classic room, older styling but quite roomy and classically tasteful. After that, […] it turned out to be a great place for our trip.BIG hotel centrally located to most major sites all in walking distance. Bus lines outside t.he door and metro station a couple blocks away. Generally nice European hotel. Anywhere in Rome is within walking distance. Room and hotel are clean. Mattress -- two singles pushed together -- was much too firm for my taste. Thin window glass let's the city noise in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very pleased with the services, the staffs, and th"
My 8 and 10 years old children and my dear husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012. The location is great but you might be able to find something better closer to the city. The hotel is nicely situated, near the landmarks such as the Trevi Fountain, a 10 min walk to the Colosseum and about 10 min walk to the Termini for buses and trains. […] It’s on Via Nazionale, a very busy street with a convenient bus stop right a front. We took busses almost everywhere and taxi at night. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly reception that helps us with the city map. The lobby is pleasantly decorated with ancient roman style décor. I cannot say enough about the staffs; they were extremely helpful and friendly. They provided a roller bed with no extra charge...which is unheard of in Europe. The room was very nice, very clean, good size with a small shower which was difficult to manage. The beds were just a typical. The room was equipped with a fridge which was convenient but an expensive price tag. I found the room to be a little bit stuffy but the big French window helped, until I realized noise from the street can be too much if you leave it open. The breakfast was a typical Italian hotel style more of a quantity and needs improvement on the quality...I wouldn't pay extra for it. Overall, we were very pleased with the services, the staffs, and the location…we would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly staff/clean rooms and good food"
For a small Italian hotel, I believe this was/is a great value. One must take into consideration that Rome is a very old city and there are things that do not function as we Americans would expect them to function. Having said that I do believe that the Eurostar is a really good place to stay. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, well supplied and varied. […] Although the room was small, it was clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging tours, being prompt with wake up calls and general responsiveness. I certainly will suggest this as a place to stay in Rome. "Our second stay in Rome"
It was our second time in Rome and this time we decided to have the hotel in the centre. Although the hotel was in the centre it was too loud (window right by the street), so was the hallway. The room was too small for two people, so the bathroom. Its ok for someone who travels alone. Next time we will book a hotel which has bigger rooms, further away […] from the centre and therefore more quite. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Worth the stay"
Fantastic location, within walking distance to many of the famous attractions. The A/C in the room was not working but did not make a difference at the time as the weather was beautiful. Our deal included a breakfast buffet with a great spread. Definitely worth the stay on a reasonable budget if only traveling as a couple or maybe three.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and staff, terrible bed..."
I'll start with the good points: the hotel is at a very convenient location, walking distance to the train station, Trevi fountain, Colosseum, Roman Forum, and a few other plazas. Also very close to the metro station, which gives you easy access to the Vatican and Spanish steps. Service and food were nice, too. The bad: their idea of a king bed is […] to take two twin bed-frames and put a (very thin) spring mattress on it. The mattress itself was stiff, and you can actually feel each spring when you're lying on it. The middle section of the bed is higher (because of the bed-frames), so it's impossible for two people to sleep on it while close together. We ended up sleeping on separate parts of the bed... This is absolutely not acceptable, even for a small motel, let alone a 4-star hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"An Ideal Location"
Eurostars International Palace is an ideal place to stay when touring Rome. Located on a major street in the center city, it is a 15-20 minute walk from many of the major tourist sites in Rome. "Great location, extra firm mattress"
This hotel was nice and in a FANTASTIC location for sightseeing in Rome. The desk staff was very friendly, attentive, and spoke English very clearly. We were able to check our bags with the hotel with no additional fee prior to checking into our room since our flight landed so early the first day we arrived. Our room and bathroom were kept very clean. […] Our bed was the most firm we'd ever slept on in our lives, but we were so tired from walking and touring all day, we had no trouble sleeping; our backs complained a little in the morning. We had a shower only room, and if we were overweight in any fashion we wouldn't have fit in the 18" opening to the 24x24 shower. The hotel plan showed that no two rooms were just alike and we noted other rooms with larger showers and shower tub combinations, so you could request that if needed. Our single double bed room was not very large, but again, others on the plan looked much larger. The hotel key must be in a slot on the wall just inside the door for the power to work in the room and even with outlet converter some of our appliances (hair/ battery charger) would not work. We were able to charge our cell phones only while in the room and that's about it. We also had some issues with getting the air conditioning to work- we visited during a warm week in March which is typically still winter in Rome so the heat kept coming on and we had to re-set the thermostat back to AC. We loved staying here. We did not expect American amenities, but they had them! The room was beautiful and was exactly what we had hoped for in Italy. Additionally, it has a great location. Easy to walk to attractions, metro, buses, everything. There were only two minor things we had complaints about. For one, we did not want housekeeping in our room […] every day. We placed the "Do not Disturb" sign on our door every single day, but housekeeping let themselves in every single day anyway. It wasn't a matter of not seeing the sign, (since they removed it each day) it was simply ignored. Not a big deal, but we were very glad we hadn't left any valuables in the room. Second, bring your own clock!! There wasn't any form of clock in the room. Reception is great about wake up calls, but we would've appreciated a clock. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Must Stay that won't break your bank in Rome"
It was our first time to Rome. We've been to other hotels in Europe per recommendations from other reviewers through Expedia. We find that most recommendations have been quite accurate. If your concern is cleanliness, then you need not be worried. We're clean freaks and we found that Eurostar InterPalace meets our standards. The hotel is minutes from […] the Metro. Restaurants and pubs are all around within walking distance. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. We hardly stayed in our room, but we found that the space was sufficient. We have our 10 y/o with us, so there was an extra cot in the room for us. Our room had a safe and a small fridge. The staff spoke English (did the best they could). Didn't give 5 stars because it wasn't a 5 star hotel. Everything met our expectations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel is very nice. The bus stop is right across the street and not far from the train station. They serve a buffet breakfast but then the restaurant isn't open the rest of the day. "Good location and nice staff"
Unlike other reviewers, I had great experiences with the staff being extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, train/taxi advice, and granting a late checkout. The hotel is in a great location and is pretty enough. My only downside was the room size - mine was small. I don't mind the small so much, but it just makes it feel that much less luxurious/relaxing […] when you are in the room (I was on a business trip so coming home to a relaxing room was important).
