We stayed one night after visiting family and it happened to be on New Year's Eve. We had not expected any entertainment in such a small town and were pleasantly surprised to arrive and discover a live band and a very helpful staff.

My son had a wrestling tournament in Fort Madison. The hotel staff were very friendly. We didn't have a shower curtain and the front desk person came right away to hang a new one. The pool was a great temperature for the kids and the breakfast was hot and full of variety.

The tub in the room was dirty, the Hot Tub by the pool had lots of sand in the bottom. The room caused a lot of allergic reactions. I don't know if it had been previously smoked in or just the chemicals they use to clean it.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. It's on the edge of town. It was quiet. The breakfast was really good. There were scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and all of the continental stuff like bagels and donuts. Got our day started off right. The hotel might be a little high in price, but I'd stay there again.

We had reserved a room with 2 queen beds, and NO SMOKING - almost 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived to check in at 4 PM - there were only 2 rooms available. Both were smoking rooms. They had our reservation - but had bumped us to a King suit - but it was smoking. Was not happy - I'm allergic to cig smoke. Didn't sleep well, and woke with headache, […] swollen eyes and runny nose, difficulty breathing. They should not be able to change your room like that.
