"Beautiful way to experience Prague"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
It was perfect. Service impeccable...Staff very friendly and accomodating .Hotel location nice and quiet after hustle of Old Town over the Charles Bridge. Our room opening onto the garden courtyard was wonderful. Breakfast out doors daily equipped with a mother duck sitting on 12 eggs, and the ducklings making their appearence before our departure. The whole trip was a ten!
"Convenient and comfortable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
We found the staff very accommodating and helpful. They had transportation tickets we could purchase for varying time periods. They arranged for a taxi to the the airport when we departed. The breakfasts were very adequate with a large variety of items to choose from. We loved the uniqueness of our room. All facilities (bathroom, TV, elevators) worked very well.

"Across the street from the Czech Senate & park"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Friendly staff, quiet, nice view (nothing famous), walking distance to Charles Bridge and (across Vltava River) the Old Town.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided each morning in the Breakfast Hall, which occupies the mezzanine level of what once was a theater and features a vaulted glass-panel ceiling, vaulted alcoves containing antiqued-copper Art Nouveau light fixtures, and garden views through tall, arched windows with sheer white drapes.
Bistro Bar - Contemporary bar/restaurant with black-leather and gray-suede seating, soft green acrylic lighted bar, light-colored wood parquet floor. Open daily for sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta, and dishes such as pikeperch in lemon-butter sauce, steak, and duck in orange sauce.
Housed in what was once a bar, a wellness center with elaborate Art Deco moldings on ceilings and walls contains cardio machines, a large freestanding sauna within a violet-colored acrylic cube, a shower room with bright-blue acrylic tiles and rain showerhead, and a massage/facial room.
There are few recreational facilities within downtown Prague other than health clubs that offer aerobics and yoga classes, with some also including indoor courts for racket sports. An ice-skating rink is formed in Old Town Square during the winter. Running/walking paths lie along the Vltava (Moldava) River, and rowboats can be rented on the river during summer. On the other side (west) of the river, Petřín Hill, accessible from the Little Quarter (Malá Strana) via a funicular railroad, provides a network of parks for walking, jogging and cycling.

The heart of the city, Stare Mesto's historic buildings are splendidly preserved. The focal point is the cobbled main square, on which stand the Jan Hus Monument, the Old Town Hall and its astronomical clock, and the Gothic spires of Our Lady of Tyn. Linking the Old Town with Mala Strana is the Charles Bridge with its gallery of saintly statues.

Very nice hotel, located very close to the central Prague train station and shopping district. Although a bit small, the room was very clean and offered a closet with drawers and a reasonable bathroom with shelves (great for women). The hotel is very elegant and the staff very friendly. Overall, a great value for the money.
"Great Location"
We truely enjoyed staying at this hotel during our stay in Prague. The location is right downtown and walking distance to all the sights and numerous restaurants. The breakfast buffet was very good and the room was clean and quiet. Great service, they even had a packed breakfast for me up my very early check out and a car waiting to take me to the […] airport. "Single Lady in Prague"
I stayed at the K&K Hotel Central for 4 days in March 2012. Check in was easy. The hotel staff was very helpful and very friendly. The free breakfast was excellent. My room was very comfortable, and I loved the fact that the bathroom floors were heated! The hotel was located in a great place. It was within walking distance of both the main train station, […] and within walking distance of most attractions. I would deffinately reccomend this hotel to others, and if I ever go back to Prague I would stay there again. Read more
"K&K Central, Old Town Prague"
A very nice room (although not huge) located right by the Old Town on a very quiet street, and barely 7 minutes away from the main train station. If I were to stay in Prague, I would probably stay at that location again.
"Good Location, Nice hotel"
The hotel was nice, good location, nice staff. Rooms are a little tight, but overall, it was a good selection.
"Mediocre room and service, although great location"
The location of this hotel is great - it's ~8 minute walk to the Old Town Square, and ~3 minute walk to the Municipal House. Although the lobby, dining area, and bar are superb, the 'extended value' or 'standard double' rooms are mediocre at best. Moreover, we found that the hotel staff were not very friendly. Our family missed a concert because the […] receptionist forgot to input our wake-up call request, and they simply said that something was wrong with their system / routing / wiring. The hotel also has a policy where you have to drop-off and pick-up your room key whenever you leave and enter the hotel. It can become a hassle during peak hours when a line of people are checking in or out. Read more
"Great Hotel, close to town square"
Great value for the price, great location, great service.

"Terrific Location Near Historic District"
A beautiful lobby, and a terrific breakfast included in a reasonable price. My only complaint was that the "fitness room" included only a broken elliptical trainer, a bike and a weight machine. No treadmills, or working cardio.
"Brand new hotel close to the main train station"
We had stayed before at a Eurostars hotel in another city (Mexico) and our expectations this time were exceeded. The hotel is brand new, so everything is pretty modern, comfortable and works perfectly. The breakfast area is huge, and the food selection is great (even it's not included in the room rate, it's worth the price). We also enjoyed the sauna […] and fitness center area, excepting the pool that was very cold! Most of the hotel staff is Spanish speaking (besides English and German, of course), so it was great for us as Mexicans. The train station is not walking distance (carrying bags) but it's one station away if you take the S-bahn which is a few steps from the hotel's door. Highly recommended! Read more
"unfriendly staff, expensive outdoor parking"
not worth the money. no smile what so ever from front desk personnel. small room. so so breakfast. Had a problem with the room. there were many small insects in the room because the window was open. the front desk was not at all helpful about the situation. If they were apologetic and changed the room swiftly, i woulnd't feel so mistreated, but they […] were not professional about it. The room I was changed to only faced the grey wall of the building next and the AC was broken. all in all, not so great experience with this hotel. The only positive thing, the bed sheets felt fresh. also beware, parking is 25 euros per night. outdoor parking and had bird poops all over the windshield. Read more
"An Outstanding Hotel in a Great City"
Pros: The staff and service at the K & K Central were terrific! The free breakfast was a nice bonus, too. The rooms are tight but very clean. They remind me of a walk through at IKEA. Everything fits neatly and the bathrooms are exceptionally clean and modern. The attention to detail is very noticeable. The caulking around the tub and sink in the bathroom […] is perfect and looks like a showroom. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the center of the town (without stopping at the shops along the path) and 20 minutes to the Charles Bridge. Cons: You must pay for the goodies loaded in the refrigerator if you use them. Thankfully, there are several local stores right down the block where you can purchase water and snacks. Read more
"Excellent stay"
I would definitely recommend this hotel! The staff was wonderful and very helpful in terms of where to go for dinner and places of interest. The room was comfortable except don't get one overlooking the courtyard because there are parties at night and may disturb your sleep. The breakfast was amazing, not your typical European breakfast but a nice combination […] of US and European breakfast...including champagne. I would definitely return to this hotel. Very central to everything and very convenient. Read more
"K&K Central - great location, gorgeous hotel"
the K&K central is stunning - a masterpiece of art neuveau restored with real care. the staff was outstanding, offering restaurant recommendations, assisting with scanning of documents etc. and the hotel is in a great location, convenient not only to the old town/jewish quareter but to wenceslas square. i was extremely happy with my stay here.
We loved everything about this hotel. It was convenient to both sights and the train station. The breakfast area was particularly lovely, and we liked the heated floors in the baths.
"K&K Central in Prague is Great"
Enjoyed this hotel more than some 5 star hotels we stayed in. The location and helpfulness of the staff were great. Breakfast was quite good, and really loved the free computers to access email and local schedules and info.
Great little hotel, very convenient - the rooms were clean, breakfast was included - you can't go wrong!
"K&K Hotel Central - great hotel AND location!"
I can't say enough good things about the K&K Hotel Central. The English-speaking staff was very courteous and helpful, quickly working to repair an inoperable TV and to provide us with a currency converter. All the staff was friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. And the location is fantastic for tourists -- a block or two from the Powder […] Tower, a 10 minute walk to Old Town Square, and a block away from the trams and subway. I should mention that the "fitness center" was very sparse, consisting of an elliptical machine, a stationary bike, and a Nautilus-type machine for weights. There is not even a rack of free weights! This is a very minor complaint, however. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our future trips to Prague. We loved it! Read more
"K&K Hotel Prague Central"
Great people, great location, great breakfast. Room is small but very nice. If I can get back to Prague, I'll be staying at the K&K.
"Elegant, well situated hotel in Prague"
Beauutiful place, even the newer, less historic newer parts. Excellent breakfast. Equally excellent dstaff and service, including efficient receipt and delivery of parcels sent to me c/o the hotel. Location could hardly be better for a game pedestrian, within moderate walking distance of Old Town Square and beyond to the prime concert hall and the opera […] house, Charles Bridge and the castle, closer to Wenceslas Square. Very near a Metro station for longer excursions--even for inexpensive transit from/to the airport for travelers without much heavy or bulky baggage. The city map that this hotel provides is notably better than the one many other Prague hotels offer. Whether with my wife or alone, I would like to spend every future visit to Golden Prague at this place. Read more
"K&K Central, Prague"
This was the second time I have stayed at the K&K Central. It is excellent in every way, from the staff through to the high standard of decor at the hotel. It will be my hotel of choice whenever in Prague. Indeed, if every hotel was like this in terms of service, environment and value life would be so much easier! A short stroll from Old Town Square […] and all of the main venues in Prague it is the ideal hotel for business and tourism. Read more
"K+K Prague Central"
This is a great hotel, I highly reccomend it. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great location, and a very good breakfast. Of the hotels we stayed in on our 2 week tour of the Czeck Republic and Austria this was outr favorite by a significant margin. If money is no object, then I am sure there are nicer, but this hotel is a great value.
"K & K Central - Prague"
You will not have a complaint about this hotel. PERIOD.
"Nice Place to Stay"
Solid Four Star Hotel. Breakfast was good. Rooms were small but nice and super clean. Location is within walking distance to nearly everything.
"Very central and convenient location"
The hotel was a great value for its location. 15 minutes from the Old town square and roughly a scenic 45 minutes walk across the river to the Castle grounds. Very charming neighborhood, a 10 minute walk to the main train station. For further destination, the Namesti Republiky metro station was right across the street. The Hotel was clean. Room servicing […] was regular. The carpet is not the most comfortable, but the beds and desk setup is alright. I did not try the bar, but I talked to the Bar tender and he was very helpful at least with providing ice. The Breakfast was good, and the staff were overall friendly. Read more

"K&K hotel in Prague"
Very nice. Good breakfast.
"K & K"
excellent hotel would stay again, biggest complaint was they could use a few more seats at the hotel breakfest
"Smokey"
Smokey. I get it...it's Europe, but had to switch rooms the first night because it was too smokey in the room. Second room was better, but hotel still smelled like smoke.

"Needs Improvement"
1. Breakfast does not include a cappuccino - that will be an extra charge. Given what the "included breakfast" costs, this is ridiculous. 2. Do not expect to use your phone card from the room if you have to dial in numbers after accessing a line - it will not work. I was told that I could either pay to dial directly from the phone in the room at an […] outrageous price or use the public pay phone on the street. This is a first for me. 3. Much of the staff should learn to smile - particularly in the breakfast room. 4. The front desk is understaffed, resulting in excessive waits. 5. I stay frequently at the K&K in Paris; the entire hotel staff should pay a visit to see how a to treat guests and run a hotel. The Prague hotel is not in the same league. Read more

"Very nice place"
Definitely enjoyed this hotel. Bed was super comfortable, room very nice. Really cool old elevator. Beautiful dining room. Only problem was the internet did not work in my room and even the technician could not fix it. Something about not working with Windows Vista so I had to use the Wifi in the lobby, but not a huge problem. Staff were friendly and […] helpful when you had a question or problem. Read more
"Mixed Bag"
Booking on line and the service experienced at reception was good. The breakfast was not impressive at all in terms of location (too small & busy), food (cold and poor prepartion, small variety compared with say Wien) and sevice level dependent on individuals.

"Home from home"
Beautiful Art Deco hotel a few minutes walk from the Old Town. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast selection.
"Great value for money"
This hotel is in an excellent location very close to both Old and New Town. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast and free wi-fi! The rooms are very clean. The one slight issue would be that the twin rooms are a little tight! Recommended.
"Art Noveau Beauty"
I stayed here with my partner for 4 nights and loved the place. It was immaculate, well designed, and elegant. The included breakfast buffet was great w/the exception of the powdered scrambled eggs. The location right near Old Town Square is perfect! They offered a great car service from the airport which was exactly as promised. Only criticisms are […] front desk can be a bit understaffed and the A/C could be a bit more robust. Would definitely stay again!! Read more
"Recommended!!"
We stayed at this hotel because we had read some really good reviews and it seemed to be ideally situated for a city break. We were not disappointed and would recommend to others. The hotel is a lovely ornate building in a fairly quiet street only about 10 minutes stroll to the Old Town Square and about 15 minutes walk away from the river. Metro lines […] and trams are close by if needed. The staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was plentiful and the room had everything we needed. We would certainly return in the future as this was an ideal base from which to explore the lovely city of Prague. Read more
"Excellent hotel in easy walking distance of all the sights"
Great value for money. Helpful, friendly staff. Quiet room. The hotel taxi service made the journeys to and from the airport enjoyable and effortless.
"Fabulous Hotel"
The street that the hotel is on is unassuming. It looks simple on the outside. Inside it's clean, up-to-date, very nicely furnished. Free internet, very close to the subway/underground train and mall that has several restaurants that are open late. Still in the mix with ancient buildings.
"Hotel very Nice"
Breakfast was included but we did not like the food at all. The Hotel was very nice and clean. The only other negative was that we were in a wing, we had to go in the elevator one flight then walk along the Breakfast room and then take another elevator one more flight. A bit much to get to the second floor.
"Excellent Hotel - well located"
All round our experience of this hotel was excellent. Plusses are great service & an excellent breakfast. All of the attractions are within walking distance. The building is a beautifully reconstructed Art Nouveau style building. The only minus was that our room was a little on the small side.
"Very enjoyable stay"
Very nice hotel, check in very efficient. Rooms are a little small but contain all you need.

"Great room for money"
The room was a little small and our room had a view of the opposite bldg wall but overall the stay was very pleasant. Can't beat the location! breakfast was plentiful and nice. I would recommend K&K to anyone looking for a quality hotel in an excellent location!
"Great Room"
This was our first trip to Prague. We loved this hotel and its great location. It was easy walking distance to all of Old Town. The room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. The staff were very helpful. We especially liked the available internet terminals in the lobby which we could use for free! Breakfast was included with our room and it too exceeded […] our expectations. We would ot hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. Read more

"for sure recommendable"
the hotel is in the center, short distance to public transportation and touristic places but in a quiet place though. The service is good, the room is clean and the breakfast rich. I would go there again.
