We chose this hotel for it's location near Kohler-Andrae State Park, just an easy and very quick drive down a calm county road away, and for the hotel's relatively low price. We're a pretty low-maitenence family, and didn't walk in with high expectations, just a safe, quiet night's rest and basic needs met. This choice met our expectations fine, and […] we went home satified with our stay. The staff was very friendly, peppy, and eager to please. I will say that the crowd that wants to feel treated and up for something with higher class may find the place lacking. Little things may bug the more discerning, such as the long breakfast line (the hold-up being one kinda slow waffle-maker, with waffles being the star choice in the breakfast buffet). You'll find a nice choice of basic breakfast items: cereal, fruit, toast, oatmeal, waffles, and such, but if you're expecting biscuits and gravy or a hearty array of egg selections, well, the fare is a bit simpler here. The room was simple but tidy. It seems as if the place is operating on a budget, which is fine--prudence is wise--but I know some prefer things a little fancier, and if that's you, perhaps you'd rather pay a bit more money elsewhere, but if you're simply looking for a calm, friendly, dollarwise spot with efficient access to that lovely beach just down the road, this place will do nicely. We were pleased. We had heard that this facility had gone downhill a bit over the past few years, but they are well on their way to coming back. With the good rates via Hotel.com we were able to stay for two nights for less than one night would have been in motels at the next I-43 exit (closer to Sheboygan).

The pool was too chlorinated. Your eyes stung after sitting on the deck for less than 30 minutes. The hot tub was too hot to get in. The breakfast was limited - all carbs, no fruit or dairy.

Room was comfortable. Grandkids enjoyed the pool - just right temp - whiel even the fussy eater enjoyed breakfast. Staff were helpful. Drawbacks - furnishings and carpet were threadbare. Definitly needs an update.

Pillows were very uncomfortable and we didn't bother with the pool area because it looked dirty. Overall if just looking for a convenient place to sleep it works. Breakfast was above avg for continental in my opinion, that was nice.

This was a nice hotel, especially for the price. We booked this hotel to stay at for a wedding because of the pool. It was disappointing that the water was so cold. My 5 yr old got used to it but the 1 yr old wouldn't go in. Otherwise it was a standard, basic hotel. It is very convenient for those looking to spend the day at Kohler Andre beach.

Once again the Hotel was clean and nice, but however I cant understand they offer a comfortable bed and matress, but am dissapointed with the pillows they offer. I would rather have on good firm pillow instead of three uncomfortable ones :(

Room was large with a King size bed. There isn't any thing near by, but I was driving and all my activities were at a church or friends home, so I didn't really care about that. Breakfast was good with making your personal waffles, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruits, toast, and oatmeal. Coffee available in the room.

We have stayed at this particualar hotel twice in the last month...the first time our room was great the service was great the pool was great, not so much this time. The pool was freezing, the desk chair in our room was broken, the bathtub was dirty, not enough towels in our room, the towel rack was broken, the door stop was broken, the hard boiled […] eggs were frozen for breakfast...couldn't eat them. There were four of us on a bicycling trip and we stayed there the last day. We had two room each with two queens. First they could only find one room reservations, but did find the other. Rooms were on two different floors even though the reservation was made at same time a month before. They did manager to change rooms so we were all on one floor, […] though not adjacent. noticed that there were several lights out in the pool area. large repair spot on the ceiling right outside of the elevator on 3rd floor. ice machine on first floor was not functioning properly. overall it was a nice place but some of the details need better attention.

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Would be nice if breakfast included hot cereal, eggs, sausage/bacon, wider variety of juices. Coffee was mediocre at best. Mini refrigerator and microwave in room would be nice. Pool area needs to be updated, but pool and hot tub are awesome features.

This hotel was very accommodating not only to me, but also my pet (stella), if I had to recommend anything though because they only allow pets on the 3rd floor. I would like to make a recommendation that pets be on 1st floor, just because my baby girl Stella barely made it to the bathrooms both times.

There isn't a lot immediately around this hotel (just a gas station), however it is only a few miles south of Sheboygan and there is a lot of shopping and chain restaurants just over a mile away. Stayed one night on a drive up from Chicago to northwoods for summer camping vacation with family. Right off the Interstate with a gas station/quickmart adjacent (NOTHING else within a half mile). Room was large, comfortable and clean, bath was decent and looked clean but my wife found a stray hair that did not belong to us in the shower. Otherwise […] no complaints with room. Hair dryer and coffeemaker in bathroom-no other appliances. Breakfast was included in room price and excellent value for us and our six year old twins. Coffee, milk, juice, cereal, toast, muffins, bagles, make-yourself Belgian waffels and other continental breakfast food served in an informal, "help-yourself" buffet area with tables. The kids LOVED the indoor pool with waterslide and fountains- hot tub nice too. I had read a couple of earlier reviews and had been concerned about cleanliness and condition of the pool area, but had no complaints. Pool and spa cleaner than most public pools. Paint peeling on th walls inside pool area in a few places, but overall condition of pool area was fine with no concerns about cleanliness or hygene. There is a small game room, ice and vending and a washer-dryer available for guest use. We stayed only one night but our kids really enjoyed the pool for a couple hours in the morning before we hit the road. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip through the area.
