"Good value for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Very well appointed with many amenities. I felt a bit being "cheap" to charge an extra $5.00 for a code for internet connection. Their offer for free internet service, means a single terminal in the main lobby with internet connection. Long line up, and inconvenience. For a daily $5.00 guest can obtain their personal code to use their own equipment in privacy.Other than that, it was a pleasant stay
"nice room in ideal location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
Our double room was small but we live in NYC so we didn’t feel cramped. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The roof of the Chateau Frontenac was visible from our window. The location in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of the newer sections is perfect for tourists. We were very happy here, and I doubt you could do much better for the price. Two cautions: (1) you need to check-in at another hotel across the street and a few doors down, as they will tell you when you ring the bell; and (2) avoid the hotel’s breakfast at a neighboring restaurant--it costs $10 Canadian and consists of powdered eggs and such. There is an excellent brunch spot just down the street from the hotel where you can eat well for not much more--it's on the left side as you walk down Rue St Ursule.
"restaurant nothing special"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 23, 2012
although the hotel per se was fine, the location wa quite a distance from the old city, and the restuarant left something to be desired. Having never in my life sent anything back, I actually did send back a salad with ingredients other than what was specified in the menu. the seoncd one was not much better, but I did not send it back a second time. service was barely acceptable.
"Perfect Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 22, 2012
Amazing location, almost every other building on the street was restaurant with any type of ambiance from Italian to Indian and beyond!
"give this place a try!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 21, 2012
we totally enjoyed our stay at hotel l'aristocrat. the place was packed and still was very quiet. the house staff were quiet as mice. it's location is just far enough away from the main tourist sites but still close enough. aquarium is just down the road. excellent restaurant is within walking distance. the desk staff speaks better english than i do and i'm from the states! very nice people. i would definitely stay there again. the price was right also.

"Auberge St-Antoine - perfect!"
The Auberge St-Antoine was just exquisite! Our room was gorgeous with beautiful detailing and luxurious bedding. The hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful in every way. We used the in-house gym and dined at the fabulous Panache restaurant. We were able to take advantage of the hotel's parking garage and use our vehicle for a day's sightseeing with […] ease. The location of this hotel could not be more perfect for seeing all the sites of Lower and Upper Town of Quebec City. We are already planning a return trip to the city and will definitely stay at the Auberge St-Antoine. Read more

"Auberge St-Antoine in Quebec - cruise convenience"
You can't get more conveniently located to the cruise port. It is right across the street. It is also walking distane from nearly everything in Old Quebec. Service is 5 star, as is the wonderful restaurant Panache.
"A Luxury Hotel with friendly and welcoming staff"
We really enjoyed staying at the Auberge. We were very pleased with our room. The decor was exceptional and the room was clearly very well maintained. Our bed was so comfortable we were able to sleep well every night. This is a major plus for us as we usually find hotel beds uncomfortable and not good for the back. The bathroom was so beautiful and […] nice to use. They had heated tiles on the floor which added to that feeling of luxury. The shower was very modern and minimalistic. A member of staff comes to your room while you are out at dinner who then turns down your bed covers and leaves a small card with the next days weather forecast. They also make a few other touches to the room so that it feels very cosy on your return ie. soft lighting with classical or other relaxing music playing. On our first evening we found a card inviting us to a cocktail hour in the hotel lounge. The staff were very friendly and sociable with all the Hotel guests. The hotel is very well situated in the Old Quebec City. Restaurants , cafes museums are all within walking distance of this Hotel. Read more
"Outstanding!"
One of the best hotels we have stayed at. My wife and I have traveled extensively and rate Auberge St. Antoine an A++. Great value, great location, very clean, and very friendly staff. Look forward to staying here again when in Quebec.
"The Auberge St. Antoine by Relais & Chateaux"
C'est Magnifique!! Immaculately clean, quiet, comfortable, great location, excellent service, and very friendly staff. The Concierge was very helpful and always right on about Cafes, Bistros, Restaurants, and directions.
"wonderful hotel"
beautiful modern design to hotel and rooms. wonderful neighborhood, slightly removed from the overly touristy parts of old Quebec City. room was a little small, but certainly adequate.

"Oustanding Hotel"
Stayed one night in mid-August. To our surprise, offered to check us in early, which was great. We had a "Comfort Room" with queen bed. Good-sized room with separate dressing area, including built-in ironing board. Very nice bathroom with separate toilet stall. Excellent lighting throughout room, with dimmers on all switches. Throughout hotel and in […] room, artifacts from prior buildings on the site. Very interesting book, in French, with more detail, in every room. Restaurant, Panache, is excellent. Be sure to make a reservation when you book your room, as it is very popular with non-guests also. Breakfast, of very special Eggs Benedict, was one of the best I have ever had anywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Read more

"Best room service within memory"
Room service is prepared by the hotel's great restaurant, Panache. My girlfriend couldn't remember ever having a better steak, and our desserts (mine was a Valrhona chocolate creme brulee) were incredible! The bathtub fit two of us, laying down up to our necks, comfortably; the bathroom floors were heated. All the room's appointments were perfect, […] from the bed, to the size of the room, to the usual little amenities like an espresso machine, safe, ironing board and iron, and so on. I can't think of a thing with which we were dissatisfied, or that I would want improved. Kudos! Read more
"Auberge St Antoine"
In the lower part of downtown but you can take the Funiculaire up with a short walk. The shops around this area are very nice as well. The restaurants are fantastic in lower town...Toast....Panache...etc

"Auberge St. Antoine in Quebec City"
Just stayed there 2 days in one of the suites (The Gustav Suite to be exact), and it was phenomenal! The design and layout of the hotel felt more like a art museum/ fine hotel than just an ordinary hotel. The decor and thought put behind each part of the hotel made on a special experience. The owners host a cocktail hour on Wednesday evenings for 1 […] hour to welcome the guests, with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres served while the owners mingle. Very nice people! Also the hotel in very centrally located next to a Museum, and close by the funicular which will take you up to the walled on old town Quebec, and Chateau Frontenac. I highly, highly recommend this hotel!!! Read more

"Auberge St-Antoine - wonderfuf staff"
It was a quick getaway for my wife and I from the city. although it took us an extra hour to get to the actual hotel ( the navigation seemed to route us to a different location) it was worth it. The place is beautiful great decor, the art collection is fantastic and the people are fabulous. The food at the bar was pretty good. Unfortunately we didnt […] try panache during our stay but will be back for it. All in all a great stay and we are looking forward to being back there this summer for Panache and the spa. Read more
"Auberge St-Antoine is Luxury"
Great hotel in a great city. Everything was wonderful during our 3 day stay. The room was fantastic with an upscale bathroom including heated floors. We loved the espresso machine in the room. The staff was always friendly. We'll definitely come back again.
"Interesting Experience"
Was pleased over-all. we changed rooms from a river view to a city view. (River view includes busy road). Might be a few too many lighting options in the room, and a few too many historical / archeological decorations throughout. True about the huge bathtub, did myself in.

"Loved it!"
We stayed here before the renovation and now after it's completion. They have successfully blended the new and the old.
"Excellent hotel for honeymooners."
I chose this hotel for our honeymoon after investigating many of the other hotels in Old Quebec City, and it did not disappoint. While it was pricier than some of the surrounding hotels, the location, the decor, and the staff proves that many times you indeed get what you pay for. When I mentioned to the reception desk that it was our honeymoon, they […] gave us free valet parking, which was a nice touch. We stayed in a comfort queen room on the third floor, and the room was excellent. The bed and pillows were both quite comfortable, and there was ample storage for all of our clothes and other travel items. However, the real perk was the bathroom - it was spacious, with pocket doors and the largest bathtub I've ever seen. Both my wife and I could share a bath together comfortably without feeling cramped. The hotel also had artifacts excavated from the ruins beneath the hotel in glass display cases around the hotel, which added a very nice touch. The room was also comfortable enough to stay in during the day while resting my injured knee. The hotel was perfectly located on the harbor side of the old city, so it was only a five or ten minute walk to every important site in the old city, and close to the funiculaire as well. The hotel is right next to Rue Dalhousie, which conveniently feeds to Boulevard Champlain, which feeds to the major highways in and out of the city. They hotel had a concierge available to help with questions about the hotel and city that my wife took full advantage of, and this women helped us with information about Cirque de Soliel, hotel massages, parking at the Aquarium du Parc and more. The quality of service that we received from the hotel staff was exceptional. The only change I'd make about the hotel is perhaps a sign indicating valet parking outside the entrance on Rue St. Antoine - as that was a little confusing when we first arrived. When we return to Quebec, we will stay in this hotel again, without hesitation. Read more

"Loved this hotel!"
Stayed here for 3 days on our honeymoon. The hotel was fantastic! Weather was not great in Quebec so we enjoyed all the fireplaces in the lounge area. Room was beautiful, shower was amazing. We ate in the restaurant which we also enjoyed.
"AMAZING"
Best service! Best location! Best food!
"Outstanding Hotel"
Top of the line hotel. Friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff. Modern hotel with a twist. Artifacts from building site tastfully and uniquely displayed throughout the hotel. Wonderful amenities. Room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable.Soft cotton sheets with down comforter and pillows. Seperate area for dressing, storing clothing and belongings. Bathroom […] was awesome. Heated floors.Large bathtub; big evough for two. Large overhead showerhead with lots of pressure. Turndown service was nice to come back to after a long day. Bottled water at the bedside. Ice bucket filled. Lights dimmed. Soft music playing. Restaurant was elegant. Food was excellent. Expensive, but worth the price. A 5 star hotel and restarant in my opinion. Read more
"Warm and inviting"
I really enjoyed my honeymoon stay at Auberge St. Antoine. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and the room was excellent. The bathtub was enormous and deep. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. Nespresso coffee included in the room price was very convenient. Better than most coffee served outside the premises. A 5 minute or shorter walk […] from many good restaurants. Read more

"Fabulous hotel"
Great location, terrific service, comfortable rooms, beautiful decor
"Darling!"
A modern, sophisticated boutique hotel in the heart of Vieux Quebec but just far enough from the flurry of the main tourist activity. Attentive service, nice amenities. History buffs will appreciate the placement of 400-year-old artifacts on display throughout. Each room is also named after one of the artifacts, a thoughtful touch that reinforces the […] building's connection to its site. Read more

"Great stay but quite a few niggles"
This is a great hotel in a good location but big climb to to the old town unless you use the funicular. The hotel was staff were really welcoming and our room was spacious with a nice bathroom. The bed was too soft for my liking but comfortable. We were unable to try the restaurant as it was fully booked for both nights of our stay. No effort was made […] to fit us in early or late but a booking was made for us in the old town at the excellent Patriarch ( told 5 - 10 mins walk but actually much further). There was a water leak in the corridoor with visible pipework and a bucket for our entire stay. Overall a good choice, but no pool and not a 5* by bigger city standards. Read more
"Great quality service and location"
Very convenient location on lower old Quebec city within walking distance of artists and areas of interest. The hotel rooms were great. The restaurant was first class. Nice and quiet - not too touristy. Definitely worth the star rating.
"Outstanding"
We spent 5 days at the hotel. They were very helpful with restaurants, drivers, tours, etc. dining at Panache was great. We had one problem with the room and they fixed it immediately. Ask for a room above the 2nd floor and a river view if possible.
"Wow what great hotel"
From the moment we walked in until the day we checked out the employees treated us like royalty! The room was beautiful. The Bose system was so nice, we would come in from site seeing and the lights would be on, water by the bed and soft music playing! Talk about romantic! Thank you so much for 2 wonderful nights in your beautiful city. We will be […] back. Read more
