"Good value for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Very well appointed with many amenities. I felt a bit being "cheap" to charge an extra $5.00 for a code for internet connection. Their offer for free internet service, means a single terminal in the main lobby with internet connection. Long line up, and inconvenience. For a daily $5.00 guest can obtain their personal code to use their own equipment in privacy.Other than that, it was a pleasant stay
"nice room in ideal location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
Our double room was small but we live in NYC so we didn’t feel cramped. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The roof of the Chateau Frontenac was visible from our window. The location in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of the newer sections is perfect for tourists. We were very happy here, and I doubt you could do much better for the price. Two cautions: (1) you need to check-in at another hotel across the street and a few doors down, as they will tell you when you ring the bell; and (2) avoid the hotel’s breakfast at a neighboring restaurant--it costs $10 Canadian and consists of powdered eggs and such. There is an excellent brunch spot just down the street from the hotel where you can eat well for not much more--it's on the left side as you walk down Rue St Ursule.

"Vacation Headquarters"
I spend a good amount of time in Quebec City and this hotel is one of the best in its price range. I had "The Energizer " for breakfast from hotel and it was genuinely better than mny of the tourist trap resturaunts in the area. The staff is friendly and multilingual. The consierge was so helpful! Any thing I wanted they pointed me in the right direction. […] I will be returning here soon! Read more

"Great service at reception"
Great service at check-in. Front desk personnel went out of their way to call taxis, give recommendations on breakfast, etc. Hotel location was a short walk - 5 mins to the Winter Carnivale. Was able to buy admission at the hotel. Many restaurants and shops a short walk away. There is a skating rink across the street. Front desk gave free 1 hour skate […] rental cards... =). Read more
we stayed here for 5 days and found the hotel to be just what we wanted. It was close to everything and the staff were very helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Great"
Everything was great. Nothing quirky. Will be back.
"Courtyard by Marriott Quebec City, great location"
The staff was super friendly, helpful and attentive. The location was perfect for walking through both the Old City and the surrounding neighborhoods. The full breakfasts were wonderful too. We'd definitely stay here again if visiting Quebec.
Parking when I arrived and departed was the nightmare, construction was going on and there was not a ' safe' spot to unload.
"A Find In Old Quebec!"
From the moment we arrived, we felt the staff went the extra mile for us. (We arrived very early in the morning and although the published check in time was 4:00 pm, they managed to let us check in closer to 10:00 am!) The staff was happy, gracious and very helpful - and their restaurant (Que Sera Sera) was fabulous! A real hidden gem! The only downside […] to the whole stay was that we needed to use the pull out bed and it was not made up for use and it seemed that it was out responsibility to make it up (not good). Other than that we couldn't have been happier with our stay! Read more
"Very Satisfied"
This is the first time that we stay in Marriott hotel. Very satisfied on the location, staff service and cleaness of the room.
"Excellent Choice for enjoying the Old City"
We were very pleased with out pre-cruise stay at the Courtyard . We arrived before normal check in and were fortunate that they had a room ready . Pay a little more for a Old City view room as that will add to your enjoyment . We overlooked an active square . The room was good sized and very clean .The staff is very pleasant and helpful and provided […] us with walking tour directions . Warm lobby area with a nice fire place . It is just a few steps to the gate to the walled City as you walk along Rue St Jean with its many interesting stores and cafes . We had a pleasant supper at Paillard's at 1097 Rue St Jean --- similar to a Panera Bread --- and the next morning enjoyed some croissants and tea at a little bakery----Patisserie Au Palet D'Or just off Rue St Jean at 60 Rue Garneau. The Upper part of the Old City is very walkable and that is the best way to soak up the atmosphere and ambiance of the buildings and the culture . We walked for about 3 hours the first afternoon and than about 2 more on the next day before we checked out and took a cab to our cruise ship . The Staff was very helpful in getting cabs for us and the many other cruisers that were staying there. The Fordor's guide book was an excellent resource and supplemented with the local knowledge of the Concierge , we really had a wonderful time in Quebec City . We are planning another Cruise in 2012 with the same itinerary . We will definitely reserve a room at this Courtyard Hotel again as our stay there enhanced the beginning of our vacation . Read more
"Courtyard, Quebec City on D'Youville"
What an excellent spot if you want to visit the old city and would like a great hotel just outside the walls. The neighborhood hosts many restaurants and there was a lovely ice rink right in front of the hotel (we were there in November). You can walk to the old city if you don't mind the uphill hike, but taxis are very reasonable for the one-way trip. […] Rooms are large enough for 3-4 people and nicely done. The entire staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and the restaurant Que Sera Sera serves delicious breakfasts and dinners. It simply was a perfect stay! Can't wait to return. Read more
"LOCATION was perfect"
LOCATION was ideal. Everything was great. Stayed for 2 nights. Location was perfect just outside the entrance to the old city and within walking distance to just about everythg. Public indoor parking lot next to hotel was a little expensive but worth it to just leave the car for 2 nights. Even the night club scene was within walking distance ( or short […] cab ride if cold) I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and plan to again. Read more
"A gem in the old city."
The staff always has a smile on their face. This is by far the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed in. Borderline 4 star property at 3 star prices. Our check in went smoothly. The rooms was very spacious for the three of us. The restaurant in the hotel is top notch. Conveniently located 1/2 block from rue St. Jean and 50 yards outside the walls. I really […] liked this hotel and would stay here again. The also had a very nice hot tub down in the fitness center. Read more
"Courtyard Marriott - Right outside of the Old City"
This hotel has an excellent location for accessing the Old City; the gate is a minute walk from the hotel, putting us right into the heart of the shopping and dining scene. Everything within the Old City is accessible without needing to hop in the car. There is a parking garage convenient to the hotel. It's a little tricky maneuvering inside of it, […] as the signage isn't the best. The elevators are not convenient to the exit nearest the hotel. If you don't mind taking the steps, though, the garage can work out very well. The hotel staff was very friendly, conversational, and knew the area well. The room was clean with comfortable beds. There was nothing that was a turnoff or really anything that was exceptionally great. It's apparent this hotel was remodeled from a hotel many years ago. It's remodeled nicely, though. There is a bar and continental breakfast available. Although I did not partake, other than being small areas, they seemed to be well-kept. Hotel staff and local shops and restaurants were all very welcoming to English. Generally, they greeted us in French, but switched over quickly with a smile. This trip was for pleasure. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it highly. Read more

"Not bad - but only for the right price!"
The Courtyard Marriott Hotel was nice - the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel near the old town was excellent. We arrived about 8pm and the hotel was full - so we got an interior room with very little view. In fact, it was better to just keep the windows closed. Further, it was a handicapped accessable room (i.e. […] a doorbell, all the light switches low, with plenty of room. I was disappointed at the cleaning service - after spending a day out (having left the room at 9AM), we had a knock on the door at 5pm to clean the room. They don't do room cleaning after 5:30, and it was either now or never. The valet is fine, the hotel is relatively easy to get to, and overall a good experience. The highlights are a really nice staff and a great location. The downside is you may get no view except for into the office building next door, and I wasn't too impressed with the room make-up service. Read more
"Comfort and convenience"
This is not a deluxe hotel. But if you are looking for comfortable accommodation with a friendly service within easy walking distance of all that is Old Quebec, then this must be your number one choice.
"Great Location"
My travels to Quebec were for a conference, this center was located directly accross from the back entrance to the Marriott perfect location. The front desk personal as well as all other staff very friendly and fluent in both French and English. Hotel very clean. Recommond to all to stay here. My colleagues stayed at various other hotels in the area […] around the conference center with many complaints about the comfort of the beds and that the rooms were old or not very clean. Read more

"Courtyard by Marriott in Quebec City"
This is a very good hotel located just outside the walls of the Old City. It was excellent in every respect; the staff were outstanding and helpful. The restaurant had first class food and service. The hotel felt like a boutique hotel. I loved staying there. It should have a 4 star rating.
"Gateway to Old Quebec"
This hotel is situated right at the gateway to Old Quebec, which is extremely convenient if one wants to walk to the old port, to the Hotel Frontenac, or simply dine or shop at many of the cafes and shops along Rue St. Jean. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. I was particularly impressed with the weekend staff!
"Met all my needs and more"
Extremely comfortable, great service, and excellent location. I couldn't have asked for more. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
"Wonderful Experience"
My wife and I stayed four nights at the Marriott and were so impressed with the entire staff. All our requests were met with a friendly, courteous response. The hotel staff booked several tours for us, and provided excellent recommendations on where to eat. The hotel location is right at the entrance to the walled city. It is a great location. Our room […] was very well taken care of by housekeeping. The room we had included a frigerator. When we asked if there was a microwave available in the hotel for us to use, one was brought to our room and left for the duration of our stay at no charge. We had a wonderful time visiting Quebec for the first time. We recommend the Mariott to anyone. Read more

"Comfort and friendliness near Old Quebec City"
I had the good fortune of staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Quebec City this past week. The hotel is in a great location, it has an old world charm and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in during a year of steady travelling. Staff were friendly and helpful and I would not hesitate to return.
