Large, comfortable room, although a litle dark. Unfortunately my room overlooked the pool which was full of ugly, dirty algae and dirty water. Very ugly. At least clean out the pool. Also, they are updating rooms on the first floor so watch out for construction crews.

There were popcorn kernels and hairballs in bathroom floor from previous guests. The tv was so low, it was difficult to see from the bed. The lock on the bathroom door was broken. When I opened the door I was immediately hit by an odd, musty odor. I turned the air conditioning on and used my personal room deodorizing spray to freshen the smell. The overall condition of the room was poor to average. Base boards were missing and there were stains on the tiles in the bathroom/vanity area. After a couple of hours I turned the air […] conditioner off and a few minutes after that I heard a strange rustling/rattling in the unit. I thought it was just the unit cooling itself down. So I got dressed and left for the evening. I returned late that night and immediately went to bed. At around 5:45 in the morning I heard a loud and distinct scratching and rustling sound coming from the air conditioning unit. I sat straight up in bed and turned the light on. The sound stopped. A couple of minutes later, the clawing sound returned. I called down to the front desk and after about 12 rings someone finally picked up. They said a maintenance person would have to come and look inside the unit. After 15 minutes no one showed up so I asked if I could move to another room so that I could get a few more hours of sleep before my long drive home that day. After a couple of tries and keys that didn't work they found a suitable room for me. It is clearly rated as a 2-star hotel so I am not angry about my experience, it was just par for the course.
