"Good Locaton, Good Price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.
"Good food around the hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
They were very friendly and close to everthing, walked all weekend, loved it
"The Best Hotel on Ocean Beach"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!
"Design savy with great service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We needed a last min getaway for a few days to unwind and enjoy a romantic getaway. The hotel staff was awesome very friendly made us common folk feel like celebrities. Great service location and atmosphere . If your dog people you will love this hotel very pet friendly. We will be staying here again and bring our dog as well . The ac in the room was a lil uncopertive however the weather was perfect so not much use was needed. Room service food was great small portions but very tasty. Location is great have drinks on the. 9 h floor lounge and what the game from a spectacular view.

Vagabond Hotel was a good value. The location was good with shopping & restaurants nearby.

San Diego’s waterfront airport lies northwest of downtown, which is home to the San Diego Convention Center, PetCo Park stadium, and the Gaslamp Quarter’s. That historic neighborhood’s restaurants and bars are the hub of the city’s nightlife. Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo form a green swath in this urban jungle. Offshore, Coronado Island offers postcard views of the city skyline.

Hard to say. Please point out that the carpets/rugs should reflect a close to spotless quality. Tk yu.
"Bed felt like it was made of rock!!!"
Good room, very clean, however the bed was so firm I felt like I was sleeping on the ground....
"Great location to gaslamp district"
Hotel was great, clean room nice location. Hotel service could have been better, staff was some what rude. Otherwise I was overall happy with my stay
"Small room"
Very small room

"Harbor view suites in San diego"
Close to freeway, nice suite, parking is free but very limited. Close to an Italian restaurant called spaghettiria, must try and good Italian food.
"Not good"
I put an employee up in this hotel. It was very tired looking, not very clean. He had no soap in his room, his sink wouldn't drain and the staff seemed lazy and non responsive. I will never use this hotel again.

"Convenient and Comfortable"
Convenient to Harbor, Downtown and Balboa park for those that like to walk. On the doorstep of Little Italy. Good sized room and very comfortable. Very close to airport via taxi.
"good place for the price"
A nice hotel in an vintage building, smallish room with some airport noise, but well equipped and a comfortable bed

"It is a horrible one."
The room has a disgusting smell and the room service is bad. We asked for a few plastic cups and were told to contact the office for it. The breakfast seemed just being taken out of refrigerator. The coffee smells like "curry" coffee. The room is small and the air conditioner is so noisy. I really can't give anything good about this hotel.

"San Diego Harbor View Inn & Suites"
This is definitely a no frills hotel. But if you are going on a cruise and need a place to stay the night before this will work. It was inexpensive and is within walking distance of the ship Port. Several good resturants close by as is the airport. But don't expect anything fancy. They gave us a ground floor room which faced the street. No view and […] noisy. But the price was very affordable. "Harborview Inn"
The room was very clean but very small. Our room was closest to Grape St. which leads to the 5 N and 5S on ramps. Alot of traffic noise kept us up all night. The hotel is next to airplane traffic route which was also very noisey. The coffee was horrible and they only had bread and waffles. Hotel staff was super nice. Worth the money is you're on a b […] udget. Read more
"Hum"
This place did the job. :) It was close to many things and in a great location. The staff on the other hand does not talk much and really just want to check you in. I'd stay again. :)

"In Little Italy, San Diego"
Hotel was neat and very convenient to the San Diego harbor area- our main area of interest. Folks running the hotel were very pleasant. The room was clean, but small, and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely consider staying there again. The price was very right.
"harbor view in-you need to clean"
The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at,,,,,, holes in the walls, not vacuumed, dirty and dust everywhere, gross
"Very Noisy"

"Don't go"
Don't go it's crazy. The hotel is old and cucoratches in the hotel.
"Better Than Expected"
Very nice hotel for the price. On the outskirts of Little Italy, close to the Gaslamp and the hotel had the look and feel of those older "SF Hotels." It was a nice end to a fun evening downtown.
"dog friendly"
which is why we chose it. Got a big room, handy for our big dogs. Had to pay an extra $18 pet charge. Place is old, looks shabby but clean. If we were not with pets, we would not go back, only because of the age (and lack of charm) of this hotel. Desk guy very good.
"Pleasantly surprised"
The place doesn't look like much on the outside -- and it probably would scare off many folks. But you can't judge a book by its cover. The room I had was huge (two flat screens, big fridge, microwave) and modern. You couldn't get a better location as far as walking to nearby attractions, and the parking was free, too. This was well worth the price […] I paid and I wouldn't hesistate to go back. Read more
"Great Location but..."
The hotel is located at a great location. There's a 7 Eleven one short block away. Right near Little Italy that's full of great restaurants. You can have a nice walk to the Balboa Park and to the museums and gardens in it. You can walk to the Gaslamp District also. Each room has a small refrigerator and a microwave oven, which is great. Now the downside. […] You do hear a lot of traffic noises from outside. I was OK with it for the most part, but I did shut the windows at night. I did hear some noises from the next room also. And the cigarette smoke/smell from the next room or the room above or below was coming into the bathroom one night. The biggest problem for me was... the bedbugs. First morning, I noticed some small blood stains on my pillows. I thought I might've scratched myself at night. The second morning, I actually found a bedbug, which was plump with my blood, walking away from my pillow which had a few fresh blood stains. I placed the bedbug on a paper, killed it and showed to the front desk. I could tell that he had known of the issue. He immediately changed my room, and I didn't have a problem in the new room where I spent two more nights till I left. I sure hope he took care of the issue afterwards. Aside from the bedbug and the cigarette smoke/smell, I really enjoyed the hotel. Read more

"conveniet to airport; downtown and highway."
I got to the hotel late and the room was not made up. Hotel staff upgraded me to a suite. The room was fine for an older hotel. I was mostly looking for location convenience and this hotel served the purpose. The hotel staff was very nice and very helpful.
"Dirty dirty dirty"
The sheets had stains and they refused to move me. I only stayed one night out of the 2 that I paid for and they would not refund my money. The manager would not even call me back when I called 4 times! Horrible place....
"Focus on the location"
Hotel seems a little run down. No ice machine. Free parking is a plus. Rooms are pretty clean. The surrounding area and freeway access are great.
"Good location, minimally acceptable"
No room service during our stay.
"Very Budget Style"
I usually stay in business class hotels like Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, Doubletree, etc... so this was a major step down; however, the price and location are good and it was't too scary. The front desk guy was very nice too. If I was travelling for fun and on a tight budget I wouldn't mind staying here.

"Best Hotel in San Diego"
Spectacular Hotel. Nicest Hotel outside of Vegas. The main lobby area is like a art exhibit. Right on the Bay of San Diego with an outdoor pool and hot tub and a huge screen tv playing for the pool. The Restaurants are superb and it even has a Yogurt shop and Fox Sports Bar. Just a block from Petco Park where the SD Padres play and the Gaslight district […] is right there. Very nice rooms with flat screen tv's and very comfortable beds. Everyone was very nice that worked there. I would tell everyone to go stay there. Read more
"Terrible , no security , worst experience"

Location is great, close to the 5 freeway and walking distance to Little Italy. The room had a strange smell to it, which detracted from our stay there. Clerk was courteous and helpful
"The Harborview Inn & Sweets"
Was charged a fee on my credit card and I still do not know why. I gave my card as security for reserving the room and it was charged a fee at that time. Not happy with that. Nice location bye Little Italy and airport but not satisfied.

"Little Gem in San Diego"
If you are looking for a great comfy hotel in Little Itaily , this is the place to stay! The service is fantastic and our room was very up to date. Next time we are back in San Diego, this is where we are staying! Thanks for taking care of us!
"2 star hotel, 4.5 star customer service"
Harborview Inn & Suite wasn`t my first choice, but that place is awesome. I mean, 15 min walk to Downtown? 5 min walk to little ltaly? Have a dinner with love one in those place? priceless Also, the front desk guy is SUPER nice!!! he even let me use his laptop cuz I forgot bring mine(computer wasn`t work so well, but still can help me find many place […] to visit) and he told me all the must-see sights, it save my time!!! however, you have to bring your flip-flop cuz they don`t have it and front gate can`t completely lock, but the neighborhood is clean & safe, so don`t worry it( at least I won`t ,lol) Read more
"Harbor Inn and Suites"
There was no stopper in the bathtub in order to soak in a hot tub of water. San Diego was cold during our stay and a hot tub would have been nice. The towel rack in the bathroom was broken, so the towels had to be stacked on the TV credenza. Overall the room was too small, but was adequate for the good location and price of the stay. The manager of […] the hotel was very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel because of the convenience of the location. Read more
"Hotel Stay"

"Well..."
The hotel is more like a motel. It smells very odd. The room I stayed in was relatively small. It had two queen beds, a decent T.V., refrigerator and microwave. However, it was difficult to walk around it and to fit out suitcases. The bathroom was okay, but it had the toilet cover broken and the towel rack was broken. The parking is very small as well, […] but I got lucky and found a spot for my car during the whole stay. Don’t think you will get a full breakfast. You won’t. The good thing about staying here would be mostly the location, since you are basically in Little Italy. Several good restaurants, delis and bars at a short walking distance (and 7 Eleven across the street). Honestly, I would not stay here again. Read more
