Hatchet Resort - Moran

This was about 10 minutes from south fork into Tetons (20 minutes further South) and Yellowstone (45 minutes further North). Fair service but no free meals and rooms were chilly. Parking was right by room. Worst part was lack of sound proofing between rooms.

Our only issue is you cannot get ahold of anyone at the resort after 8 pm so if you need anything, you are on your own. The room was clean and nice, and it was very quiet there.

Only in warm weather! Pine logs all over are delightful, but the heat was set at 62 and I could not change it. It was 32 degrees outside. Only 1 blanket per bed and the office closed at 9:00 PM. In the morning the room temp was 59 and it was 23 degrees outside. I froze my butt!

Disappointing in that it was definitely not worth the money. Sheets were very thin and the top sheet was torn - we had to ask for another one. Blankets very worn and tatty and towels very thin. Room was pleasant and clean. Back of unit 2 faces RVs. Near highway, so there is some noise. Soap and shampoo was not provided for 2 days after they threw out the old ones. We book a room at this resort for 5 days. We decided to stay and extra night and so we talked to a staff member about the fee for the extra night. I had book our room throught Expedia. The lady at the front desk advised me that she would make the rate for the extra night the same as the Expedia rate. When I went to check out, a different person told […] me that I would have to pay full price (the resort was almost empty at that time). The difference was over fifty dollars. Had I known that I would have left the day before and for the cost that I was charged I would have stayed in the Teton Villiage which would have been a better value. The other concern was that the shower curtain did not reach the floor and everytime you took a shower water ended up all over the bathroom floor. I would NEVER stay here again. Read more

This is an older lodge type. It was comforable and VERY nice to be away from the crowds of The Tetons. We ate in the restaurant only once, and it was very good. Great service! Few amenties apart from a clean room and a nice shower. But We were very happy here! Internet and TV reception were not great.

This hotel is a nice place and the staff really friendly. We appreciate the fact that we found an envelope with our key in the office front door because we arrived very late (around midnight). The hotel is just at few miles from the entry of the Grand Teton National Park.

The location of the resort is perfect for star gazing, seeing wildlife and eating fabulous food. The bed was not very comfortable, the pillows were not either. But it is right on the way to Grand Tetons, quiet, great view. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The room was clean. The staff very friendly, and they are dog friendly.

The toilet was broken. We found a large spider in the bathroom. There's no coffee maker or complimentary coffee in the office. And there was nobody in the office all night to take care of our problems. The cool looking wooden beds doesn't make the hotel worth the extra bucks.

We were lucky to get a great place to stay near the Grand Teton National Park/ granted, we had an expensive room- but the room was huge and exquisitely furnished . The restaurant was also excellent and all staff was pleasant and helpful! Thanks to Chad @ Hotels.com for hooking us up!

Two things that are a must, clean sheets and clean bathroom. I received neither! The staff was rude on top of that! Charged $3.00 for internet that had a speed of dial-up. Would never stay here again under current management.

Lodge is in a remote location with no other stores or restaurants nearby. The dinner and breakfast had very few healthy choices and were somewhat overpriced. On two mornings out of six we had no hot water for the shower which they said was being repaired. This hotel is located at least 30 miles from anywhere! We obviously didn't do our research well enough regarding the location. Nice, rustic looking cabins. Clean but did have mouse traps set in the room however we never actually saw a mouse. No air conditioning, had to sleep with windows open to get cool air for comfortable sleeping. The wireless internet service sold for an additional $3 did not work. Our own worked as Hotel's internet service (at $3 surcharge) did not work, and our own was slow as molasses. The alarm clock did not work; we could not even set the current time and had to unplug it to prevent it from buzzing randomly. There was a mouse trap behind the night stand […] - not very confidence-inspiring. No fridge, no microwave, no breakfast, no amenities found in motels for half the price. The room was pleasant, but the experience with one staff was terrible. We checked in at around 9:30PM, and was charged $3 for the WIFI password. After everything was settled (around 10:30PM), I figured that I could connect to WIFI using the password but I was not able to connect to Internet by trying multiple times with different devices. (I believe […] the Internet connectivity was down for a few hours at that night because I was able to connect in the morning with the same setup.) Next morning I went to check out and told the guy that I was unable to connect to Internet last night. The guy kept saying that I was not using it right this and that, sounds like I don't know how to use computer (I'm a software engineer and I know what was happening). My wife asked if we can get refund for the WIFI fee, then the guy reacted like we were blackmailing him for $3. He said "Now I know what you want" and eventually threw $3 on the table. I'm not a good arguer so I walked out the room. But the experience was not pleasant. Threadbare linens and towels. Extremely uncomfortable beds. No AC or Fans in the room. No towel rack in the bathroom. A shower curtain that had a foot gap between it's bottom and the floor. Both bathroom sinks (Room 4 and 5) are clogged so we had to use the bathtub instead. This is not a good experience for any guests. Should have a small refrigerature for some food storage. OTHER THAN THAT, the BREAKFAST FOOD IS EXCELLENT.
