the hotel room was nice. definitely not an upscale stay, but the beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. bathroom wasn't pristine, but it was manageable. bring your own shower stuff because the hotel does not provide any shampoo, soap, etc. also, if you are between the ages of 18 and 25 (and no one in your party is over 25) you will be expected […] to hand over a large ($100ish) cash deposit at check-in. the money is returned after you check out, provided there are no damages, but i was really thrown off because i didn't have this information ahead of time. also, this hotel has both smoking and non-smoking rooms, so i suggest calling ahead of time to make sure the room you booked is non-smoking. unknowingly, the room we booked was smoking, but the front desk staff was kind enough to change our room to non-smoking. overall, we really enjoyed our stay. we had a really nice 3 double bed room: when you walked in you were in a bedroom w/ 2 double beds, a nite stand, dresser, w/ TV on top, a closet, & a bench to put lugage on w/ a large mirror. There was a door which lead into a nice large galley kitchen w/ a door to the left where the bahroom was.It had a seperate vanity w/sink, then another door into […] the shower/tub & toilet area. It wasn't huge, but clean & I liked the fact that you could shut a door & still leave the sink area available. Going back through the kitchen lead to a large living area w/ a table w/ 4 chairs, a sofa which sat 2, adresser/TVstand w/TV & a cool Murphy bed that could be open for more seating or to watch TV or closed for less clutter. This area ended w/ a lovely,large balcony w/ 2 outdoor chairs & a beautiful full ocean veiw! Staff was nice, pools were 1 inside, 1 outside, a really hot, Hot tub (nice!) that could comfortably hold nearly 10 people! And an beside that was a short, but very nice lazy river also inside! Very nice place to stay even if you got rain!!! Which we did have a little of, but we could still swim, play in the lazy river or just relax in the HotTub (which was actually hot as apossed to luke warm like the 1 at the hotel we stayed at 2 weekends before!) I was shocked. To start with, the elevator was dirty and when we got to our room, the room smelled cigarette smoke. This Hotel is not a Hotel but rather a low class Motel that should be condemned! The front desk personnel were rude, inconsiderate, and non responsive to my needs a guest. The lazy river is simply a small pool not a lazy river. The hotel room itself was horrible. The telephone did not work, the refrigerator and freezer did not work, and the shower head […] in the shower did not work. The hotel and hotel room reeked of marijuana. The ceiling looked like it was about to fall on me at any time: there were many leaks in the ceiling which were extremely visible and dripped all night long and the paint was coming off the ceiling and walls. The shower leaked and made a huge standing “pool of water” in the bathroom. Only one of the five lights in the entire hotel room worked so it was extremely dark at night. The Hotel room itself looked like something out of the 70’s and that has not been up-dated since then! One of the only good things about the Sea Dive Motel, was that it is beachfront and we had a beachfront room! Read more

Nasty place! First of all, the front desk woman was the rudest I've ever met. There were 2 ocean front towers: the one we stayed in had 8 floors, but the elevator only went up to the 6th. We had to carry our stuff to the 7th floor. This motel was WAY over priced for what we got: dirty room, rude staff, no pool towels, no coffee, no shampoo, no tissues, […] no clock in the room. The place was run down and nothing like on the pictures. The pool was covered in algae, the elevator stunk like urine; the couch was stained and had big holes in it with stuffing coming out, the dishes in the kitchen were greasy and we just used our disposable paper plates that we brought; the bed linens were orange from people's sweat; the parking was across the street, which was very inconvenient. I could just go on and on... The toilet broke on the first day and the maintenance had to come fix it; my kids sat on the property's swing which tipped over and fell on top of them. One of the employees saw it, but showed no reaction and just went on with her own business. We stayed in a 2 queen bed room, which was big enough for 4 people, but they charged us $10 extra a night for extra guests. Turns out their prices are for 2 people only, even for suites, any more people than that, and you have to pay extra per night, plus there were nightly hotel fees, I am not sure for what. Basically, we could have stayed for pretty much the same price in a MUCH nicer hotel. We will never ever go back to that motel-hell! Read more

First of all our room smelled terrible, the fridge was barely cold, the oven didn't work at all, the beds were so uncomfortable I woke up every morning and felt like I got beat up. Our "ocean view" efficiency was a lovely view of another building and our "balcony" was shared with about 4 other rooms and it was littered with cigarette butts and beer […] bottles. Our neighbors wereon the balcony from about midnight to 4am raising caine on the balcony. Not only was our stay terrible but another couple we went with who was supposed to stay in another room complained to the main office about their stove not working and within 2 hours they had been kicked out of the hotel for no apparent reason and left with nowhere to stay that night and were threatened with trespassing if they came back. Lesson of the story, spend the extra money and get a decent hotel. Read more

My friends and I enjoyed our trip at the sea dip. There were a few down falls including the out of date bathroom and it also needed many renovations. The pool area was awful but my friends and I stayed at the beach all day so it did not matter to us. The staff was very nice because they upgraded our room for free. The hotel needs a lot of work. The room was ok for the price BUT the dishes were dirty in the cupboard, the couch was filthy, the murphy bed was broken and there were burn holes in the blanket. This is a definate older hotel with a newer portion next to it. I went out of season and did see them doing some maintaining of the property with the paint and working on a few things. Our rom was the most digusting room ever. Dirt piled up, most of the lights didn't work, and should have been rented by the hour instead of the night. Exremely modest lodging... needs updating of 70's era. Make sure to bring an extra pillow,toiletries and hairdryer. You get what you pay for ..but we were in great location and had picture perfect ocean view and access to beach. Lazy River was more like a creek.

There's a reason why this hotel is the cheapest on the block. The hallways are disgusting, rooms subpar, and staff with the so called "southern hospitality" makes this hotel one of the worst part of my trip. Its located right on the beach so its very convient for price and location. If you are a detail oriented person do not stay here.

We checked in and the hotel looked nothing like the pictures online. The room had moldy light fixtures. The bottom of the fridge was rusted. No towels in bathroom. It was so bad I told my kids not to sit on ther floor. We found another hotel and left ASAP.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This hotel is disgusting! My wife booked this hotel based on the picture in the advertisement and the location. We were disgusted upon arrival! This place was dirty, not maintained and in VERY poor condition! We were originally in a room located near the office which was so nasty we couldn't even stand to be in it! It smelled […] of mildew and the beds sounded as if they were made of squeaky rubber. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were disgusting as well. When we confronted the main desk, they allowed us to Upgrade for $35 more to the newer building. While this building was newer, it was by no means acceptable. We stayed the night in this room since we were forced to keep our reservation. As me and my spouse explain it, this is a "t-shirt over the pillow case" kind of hotel. While I cannot say for sure, but it even appears that the lack of upkeep reached as far as the beach in front of the hotel. I don't know who maintains the beachfront, but all of the other hotels had groomed beaches, but this hotel had a very grungy appearing beach. NOT RECOMMENDED! Read more
