"In the heart of everything"
Had a great time. The hotel is right in the middle of everything from restaurants to shopping to adventures (tram ride, zip lines, hikes, etc). It is about an hour from Yellowstone so serves well as a basecamp to Yellowstone. We enjoyed both areas (Big Sky and Yellowstone) from this location and found the room VERY comfortable. The sofa and murphy bed […] allow extra space for families. The bathrooms were very nice and we had a kitchen in our suite too. The only downside was one of the drawers in our dresser was broken and all the others would fall out if pulled out too far so I think it was an old piece. Otherwise, everything was excellent. The hotel was a wonderful surprise. We were booking for a night on our way out of Yellowstone heading to Vancouver and this hotel came up in the search with a great price since it was the off season at the ski resort. The accommodations were far more than expected. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable with a living space, kitchen, two bathrooms, […] and a view of the mountains as a pleasant bonus. It was by far the best place we stayed on our cross country trip beginning in Ocean City, Maryland! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

good choice for only club goers and party people. hotel interiors could be embarrassing to kids and teens. Rooms are spacious but somewhat dark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
nice mountain area with clean and spacious room, staffs are very kind, excellent facilities including two big pools & hot tub, laundry room, and even theater inside of the hotel. one disadvantage: takes at least an hour to get to the entrance of Yellowstone N.P.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
Everything was great! People were friendly and were willing to help you. Everyone on the staff you encountered greeted you. Room was amazing. I would def recommend to anyone in the big sky area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
Really enjoyed this hotel...breakfast was awesome every morning....convenient ski/snowboard storage....close to shops and dining. Just a short walk to the ski lifts. We will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spacious, comfortable, good for groups"
We were traveling with 2 couples and looking for an affordable option with some privacy. Shoshone was perfect because each apartment has a separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The living room also has a very comfortable queen size murphy bed. This means, at night the living room turns into a proper second bedroom with a real bed and private bathroom. The […] apartment is not new but incredibly well maintained. Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Surroundings were stunning. Walk straight from the hotel onto the mountain. "Great Mountain/Yellowstone Park Lodging"
We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Shoshone Big Sky. The staff is great. The rooms and Lodge are well kept. They have alot of activities from the Lone Peak, Zipline, Paintball, Mountain biking, etc at the basecamp. Those guides are great !!!!!!!!! The sites from Big Sky are second to none. We hope to revisit soonGenuine Hotels.com guest review
No make up of room for 2 days. When they make up room they left the garbage and the dirty dishes alone! You have to pay tip for breakfast which is basically self served only with waiter/waitress bring the coffee. Just put a coffee machine there and we will be happier.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good and bad experience"
Our plan was to visit Yellowstone and can't find hotel nearby with bigger room for the family. We found this hotel which is some 40 miles from West Entrance. The room size is fantastic, good size bed room, full size living and kitchen plus a dining table. The bad part: two out of 3 nights we stay there they did not make up our room, the day they did, […] they did not clean our garbage can! Also, every evening we came back from Yellowstone, we have to drive up to 2 hours (1 hour from west entrance to hotel) and its tiring. Third, breakfast choice was lousy and you have to pay tip although its essentially a buffet style only that waiter come and bring you coffee and ask how's things...not necessary. To be fair the hotel itself has a number of good facilities for a family to stay there and have fun for a couple of days but the service level really have to be improved. "Very Good Food"
The coffee shop was poor with poor quality of coffee and poor service. We found the mattress to be stiff and uncomfortable. Suite was spacious, staff generally were very helpful and the two restaurants were very good - one in each of the Summit and the Huntley.Genuine Expedia guest review
Opholdet var meget behageligt. Udsigt over bjergene var megt flot.

Our family stayed 3 nights at the Shoshone over Christmas 2014. We loved the convenience of the hotel to the lifts, restaurants, shops, and pool. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite with the loft. We loved all of the space! The kitchen is a bit dated, but we were still very happy and it was very clean. We are hoping to stay at the Shoshone again this Christmas
"Very comfortable, very convenient"

Our family has stayed at the Shoshone numerous times, and my wife and I were just there for five days. Our "elbow" unit on the third floor was very clean, spacious and had views of Lone Peak and another mountain range further away. Everything is very convenient to skiing, with a boot room and a slope-side ski valet/storage. For breakfast, we always go to the main dining room with direct views of the slopes and Lone Peak. The Shoshone hot tub design is the best of any ski resort I've ever been to: it's indoors and access to the outdoor pool is through a small in-water door and entrance. You never have to leave the warmth of the water. There is a small gym area, which I used every day. At night, there's a quiet bar for after dinner drinks, which can be taken into a comfortable, cozy area featuring a huge stone fireplace just off the main lobby. And that's all within the Shoshone complex. For dinner, we either headed down the hill to Buck's T-4 or ate at one of several restaurants a short walk from Shoshone. Our best meal was at the Italian Andiamo restaurant, about 200 yards from Shoshone.
"Nice condo for skiers"
03/15/15 homemh Orlando, Florida
This condo hotel is connected to Huntley lodge. We had a one bedroom suite that had a king size bed and a murphy bed in the living room. The furnishings were comfortable. Full kitchen with all amenities (would have preferred larger water glasses) and kitchenware. Small but expandable kitchen table. Our stay included complementary wifi (strong signal) and breakfast in the Huntley dining room (good!) and ski valet (did not use). The spa is in this building, which we enjoyed. There is a well equipped gym, which includes a steam room, sauna, and indoor whirlpool. The pool is outdoors and appears to be closed during the winter. Parking is complementary but is a bit of a hike (drop your luggage with the bellman). Close to the restaurants and shops onsite. Oh yes, and the skiing as well. The housekeeping left a bit to be desired. The room wasn't dirty, but the day we were there she was a whirlwind through the place and didn't run the dishwasher. Our room didn't have a great view, being at the front of the hotel, but that was ok. Overall, good comfortable stay

We were here during the summer - so . . . We did enjoy our stay very much. The staff at the Shoshone Condominium Hotel was so friendly and helpful. There are a couple different lodging places at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our condo - nicely decorated. Appliances were older but worked fine. Nice to be able to wander on the grounds - stores and eating places all available by foot or by car. There was something for everyone there - rock-climbing, guided walks, play area for kids, etc. Regarding questions below - re:being romantic - and free breakfast - it would depend on what room you get and also what package you get when reserving re:free breakfast. It is a long walk from the underground parking area back to the hotel.
"We loved it"
I would definitely stay here again. The staff was excellent, friendly and went out of their way to do whatever they could to ensure a pleasant stay. Housekeeping was fine. We had a rate that included breakfast, lift passes and ski valet. The breakfast was so nice, with almost every option you could imagine. The indoor/outdoor pool was very welcome after a long day of skiing. The hotel is very convenient to the lifts and other shops and restaurants. The floor plan was nice and we used the Murphy bed. I would ask for a room on a higher floor; they have the nicest views. I can't think of anything that could have been done better!
"Close to ski lifts and great for families"
02/08/15 SkiSG11 Sunshine Coast, Australia
The corner condo was large with excellent views of the ski lifts and mountains. The one bedroom condo has two bathrooms, which is great for families. The pull-down murphy bed in the lounge room is as comfortable as the main bed. The location is excellent, close to the shops and short walk to the ski lifts. Excellent wifi connection. The only downfall is having downstairs shared, coin-operated, laundry facilities. We appreciated the complimentary overnight ski boot warming in the ski storage room. There is also an option to store your skis with the outdoor ski valet next to the ski lifts, however the Shoshone is close enough if you chose to carry your skis back to the inside ski storage room. The large heated pool is fantastic after a day of skiing and a great place to meet other families.
"Great location, great staff, poor property"
02/03/15 caroline c Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Pros are the location,, which couldn't be better, the TV channels are very good, WiFi is strong, and the staff are very personable and friendly. Cons are the housekeeping, which was deplorable. For instance, when I arrived, there was used dental floss on the living room floor, food debris on the counters and table, and tiny shards of broken glass in the carpet. It didn't improve during my stay. The room itself must have been over the mechanical room below, because it vibrated continually. It was otherwise poorly designed, lacking in heat in the bedroom, and when you were using the toilet you couldn't open or close the bathroom door. Odd. Lovely people who work there, but next time I'll stay somewhere else.
"Comfortable corner room"
Third year to stay at the Shoshone. The one bedroom, two bath room was much larger on the corner compared to our earlier stays on higher floors elsewhere on the property. Very convenient to the slopes. Breakfast each day and lift passes make for a great deal. Room very clean and up to date, with adequate kitchen. Lighting was poor in kitchen, however.
"Cozy Comfortable Lodging in Big Sky Winter wonderland"
01/08/15 RandyCP Santa Barbara, California
We had a master bedroom, loft room that was fairly private & very large and a murphy bed in the living room. 3 full bathrooms (2 with showers & 1 with Jacuzzi tub) Great for a family of 4; wife & I and 2 college aged children. Snowboard/Ski vacation during Christmas week with over 36" of snow that week. Big Sky is a beautiful & rugged place. We usually go to Vail, CO but kids wanted different adventure and Big Sky fit the bill. My daughter described it as such. Great Mountain area to ski/snowboard but wished she had the town of Vail around it. Not much as far night life & shopping/dining but just enough to satisfy all your needs as far as the town is concerned; great ski mountain & very family oriented; hardly and lines for the lifts at all; probably get 3x as many runs in vs Vail during same time of year. Oh, the lodging was just fine and perfect for what we needed. Fully appointed with enough room for all 4 of us so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. And with the amenities like a hotel room. Daily maid service, so always had a clean room and fresh towels. Nice to have a fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher. Only drawback was not having a washer/dryer in the place like we had in Vail. That can be very convenient. There is a large laundry facility in the adjoining Huntley Hotel where you can do laundry. Like I said; place had 3 full baths so now worries about waiting on a bathroom. My son/daughter didn't have to stay in the same loft as my son loved the murphy bed in the main room. He's a bit messy so would've preferred he stayed in the loft. Comfortable beds and nice gas fireplace. Clean and tasteful furniture. Great view of the mountains. 3 minute walk to the lifts at the main village. And right in the heart of the Village. We had a truck so we could drive to different areas around Big Sky. Well worth the price and the mountain ski area is huge and challenging for all levels; Great place to bring the family and a great place to stay; also offered in the deal free breakfasts while we were there which was welcomed and very good; and great ski package deal with the lodging. Wi-fi is free and pretty strong all throughout the condo. We were on the top floor; no problem with elevators; very quick.

Stay every year...rooms very good for family (shoot for corner room for more space). Movie night on ground level a huge help with preteen kids (as long as movie is appropriate. ..), restaurant staff always great...big down side this year was having young female staff show up in work out room after slopes closed each day. ..they were practicing a mature dance routine in front of mirrors then changed into barely there bikinis...several families ended up having to move to side if pool bc of awkwardness of potential bathing suit malfunction as they played in pool...Also check in is at 4pm..NO exceptions. We fly from ATL then try to get into room with enough time to rent kids skis and store ours, etc. Can be very problematic if you can't get in to room until after 4, wait for shipping boxes to be brought up as the ski rental/slope storage group close around 5pm...this is very frustrating especially when Shoshone is far from full...really should consider allowing 3pm check in or ask ski rentsl/slope storage to stay open later...ski lessons start on time and getting a pack of kids through rentals and to ski school on time is almost a joke...4pm check in ....sucks huge
