"In the heart of everything"
Had a great time. The hotel is right in the middle of everything from restaurants to shopping to adventures (tram ride, zip lines, hikes, etc). It is about an hour from Yellowstone so serves well as a basecamp to Yellowstone. We enjoyed both areas (Big Sky and Yellowstone) from this location and found the room VERY comfortable. The sofa and murphy bed […] allow extra space for families. The bathrooms were very nice and we had a kitchen in our suite too. The only downside was one of the drawers in our dresser was broken and all the others would fall out if pulled out too far so I think it was an old piece. Otherwise, everything was excellent. The hotel was a wonderful surprise. We were booking for a night on our way out of Yellowstone heading to Vancouver and this hotel came up in the search with a great price since it was the off season at the ski resort. The accommodations were far more than expected. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable with a living space, kitchen, two bathrooms, […] and a view of the mountains as a pleasant bonus. It was by far the best place we stayed on our cross country trip beginning in Ocean City, Maryland! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"not for family with kids & teens"
good choice for only club goers and party people. hotel interiors could be embarrassing to kids and teens. Rooms are spacious but somewhat dark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
nice mountain area with clean and spacious room, staffs are very kind, excellent facilities including two big pools & hot tub, laundry room, and even theater inside of the hotel. one disadvantage: takes at least an hour to get to the entrance of Yellowstone N.P.Genuine Expedia guest review
"GREAT PLACE TO STAY"
Everything was great! People were friendly and were willing to help you. Everyone on the staff you encountered greeted you. Room was amazing. I would def recommend to anyone in the big sky area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
Really enjoyed this hotel...breakfast was awesome every morning....convenient ski/snowboard storage....close to shops and dining. Just a short walk to the ski lifts. We will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Spacious, comfortable, good for groups"
We were traveling with 2 couples and looking for an affordable option with some privacy. Shoshone was perfect because each apartment has a separate bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The living room also has a very comfortable queen size murphy bed. This means, at night the living room turns into a proper second bedroom with a real bed and private bathroom. The […] apartment is not new but incredibly well maintained. Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Surroundings were stunning. Walk straight from the hotel onto the mountain. "Great Mountain/Yellowstone Park Lodging"
We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Shoshone Big Sky. The staff is great. The rooms and Lodge are well kept. They have alot of activities from the Lone Peak, Zipline, Paintball, Mountain biking, etc at the basecamp. Those guides are great !!!!!!!!! The sites from Big Sky are second to none. We hope to revisit soonGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Good Food"
The coffee shop was poor with poor quality of coffee and poor service. We found the mattress to be stiff and uncomfortable. Suite was spacious, staff generally were very helpful and the two restaurants were very good - one in each of the Summit and the Huntley.Genuine Expedia guest review
Opholdet var meget behageligt. Udsigt over bjergene var megt flot.

Stay every year...rooms very good for family (shoot for corner room for more space). Movie night on ground level a huge help with preteen kids (as long as movie is appropriate. ..), restaurant staff always great...big down side this year was having young female staff show up in work out room after slopes closed each day. ..they were practicing a mature dance routine in front of mirrors then changed into barely there bikinis...several families ended up having to move to side if pool bc of awkwardness of potential bathing suit malfunction as they played in pool...Also check in is at 4pm..NO exceptions. We fly from ATL then try to get into room with enough time to rent kids skis and store ours, etc. Can be very problematic if you can't get in to room until after 4, wait for shipping boxes to be brought up as the ski rental/slope storage group close around 5pm...this is very frustrating especially when Shoshone is far from full...really should consider allowing 3pm check in or ask ski rentsl/slope storage to stay open later...ski lessons start on time and getting a pack of kids through rentals and to ski school on time is almost a joke...4pm check in ....sucks huge
"Great choice for quality, size, and service!"

Glad we chose this hotel vs the Huntley, well worth the upcharge! Large master suite and a very comfortable pulldown Murphy bed in the living area. A nice kitchen with just about anything you would need (all the coffee you can drink instead of the standard 1-2 servings at most hotels). There is a grocery store less than a 5 minute walk so you can really keep eating costs under control with the full kitchen. Everybody you touch is excellent- great service! Mary, the concierge, was outstanding! She mapped a terrific day through Yellowstone that was spot on! We saw everything and avoided major summer traffic jams. Definitely a repeat trip as Montana is one of the most beautiful of all States!!
"Needs renovation but cannot beat location"
08/15/14 Alicia G Minnesota
To be honest, the actual hotel needs updating. The rooms are a bit divey. But the ski-in, ski-out location is amazing. The outdoor swimming pools are fantastic. The included breakfast was excellent. With updates, this would easily be a 5-star hotel. As recommended by other reviewers, we requested a high level, corner room. We got a corner on the 5th floor and it was a great view and very quiet. We plan to return spring break of 2015. Not exactly related to the hotel ... but skip the zip lining. It was meh at best and was pretty pricey.
"Ask for Room at back "

The noise from the front is horrendous - 2 night stay and no sleep from party goers and people arriving at all hours of the morning - live band was playing till 4am. Phoned front desk and was told they couldn't do anything about it - even though everything is owned by the same company here. Breakfast is poor - spacious well equipped rooms - average standard - if your coming to party then this is the place - if you're Coming for a rest don't bother
"Family vacation July 2014"

We stayed here 4 nights on family vacation. Very nice hotel. Internet and breakfast are free and good quality. Rooms are spacious and can easily sleep 6. The kitchen was well outfitted e.g. pizza cutter - very thoughtful. We went at a time of low occupancy. Staff is friendly and thoughtful. The attached grocery store in Mountain Mall is very convenient.Other stores seemed pricey. Yellow Stone is a a good 45 min each way so make sure you include that in your planning. I would stay here again
"Great accommodations in a beautiful setting"
07/12/14 jd068 Boston, Massachusetts
Stayed in Shoshone Condominiums while attending a conference. Our condo was large, with an en suite bathroom, a large living room-kitchen with a murphy bed, and a second bathroom. Very comfortable. There are several restaurants in Mountain Village (easy walking distance) and you can also get room service. A short drive down the mountain are a few shops and restaurants. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the setting is beautiful. About 1- 1 1/2 hours from Bozemon airport, and an hour from Yellowstone West Entrance. There are a few outdoor activities, but if you're not into extreme sports this place might not be for you in the off season.
"Definitely some of the best skiing ever!"
05/13/14 Edgar L Birmingham, Alabama
This was my first time skiing in Big Sky and it did not disappoint. The nearest airport is in Bozeman so you have a little driving to do but most of it is through a beautiful valley. We stayed in a one bedroom condo with a beautiful view of Lone Peak mountain. The room was very clean, with a full kitchen and two full bathrooms. The buffet breakfast was included and had a beautiful view of the mountain and skiers. Service through your the resort was very friendly and always willing to help with any requests. The skiing was fantastic. I literally found myself on the slopes multiple times without another skier in site! Big Sky itself is very small, with a handful of restaurants so this is not the place for someone looking for a nightlife. But, if you are looking for a family friendly, quite resort and town with some of the best skiing I have ever done, Shoshone condominiums and Big Sky is just the place for you!!
"Excellent Year After Year!"
04/14/14 LargeMarj Winnipeg, Canada
We have travelled to Big Sky Resort and stayed at the Shoshone condos for the past 4 years. And each year, it gets better & better. The breakfasts are amazing, the hospitality is great. And of course, great skiing! We travel with a larger group and have always been satisfied with the service and value. We have 3 children, and they never get bored. The complex is large enough that they can "wander" around, there's the massive hot tub/outdoor pool for apres ski or a late night dip and breakfast offers a wide variety of choices that the kids (and adults) love. There are also activities planned throughout the week such as movies in their theater, snow cones, etc. And the mountain (especially now with access to Moonlight Basin) is very expansive and family friendly. I believe Spanish Peaks will be avaialble next season so even better! I would recommend it highly.
"Great hotel in many ways...room service sucks"
02/15/14 solomonneuhardt Billings, Montana
Love the condos. Great view of the mountain. Great front desk help. Great concierge. Easy access to ski area. Love the service that holds your skis for you overnight. Great for a family. Now the issue...called room service several times during various hours of the morning. No one would answer the phone. Didn't even ring. Called front desk and asked them to transfer. They did and again no ring. Asked front desk what was going on and they said room service was busy and that was all. For the incredible amount of money that room service charges you would think they would tap dance to your door. Not.
"The best place to ski for families."
01/07/14 Gonzomom13 Lakeland, Florida
We love Big Sky! It is great for families with different skiing levels. The lifts are not crowded and the slopes are wide! The Shoshone Condominiums were clean ski in ski out and the one bedroom was very comfortable for our family if 4. The local villages were easily accessible by bus for great shopping.
