Hotel was nice and clean. However we had no hot water at all! We both took cold showers. But other than that location was good and we were happy with the room. If the water issue was fixed we would stay again.

When we first arrived we noticed some of our outlets were not working, the maintenance personnel came promptly. Afterwards we were upgraded to a nicer room with a balcony, rooms were clean and staff was exceptional, will def stay here again.

Room was clean, service was very freindly and location worked great, but its very obvious that this hotel hasn't been updated in a long time.... everything was outdated and very worn. The bath tub was no longer white and shower was luke warm at best. Rate was pretty cheap, so you get what you pay for.

Staff was very helpful. I reserved two rooms and mentioned that we would like to be as close as possible - not only did they place us in adjoining rooms, but they also gave us a complimentary room upgrade due to it being a slower weekend!

Travelled to OCMD for weekend cheer comp. The hotel was close to convention center and area restaurants. Front Desk personnel were nice, but didn't give any explanation of amenities. I wasn't told that parking is on side of hotel, that there was a buffet breakfast in the morning. Two of the outlets in our room worked part-time. Tried to charge iPhone […] but had to use bathroom. The light plugged in the room came on in the middle of the night. We didn't get housekeeping service on Saturday. The pool was cold. The hotel needs an updated look in the rooms. The lobby is very nice.The staff was friendly . There was a leak in our shower and a odd odor in the halls. Overall it was nice but not quite sure its above 3 stars.

The temperpedic mattress is not something I personally like in a mattress, but that is purely a personal thing. They provide plenty of pillows. I was told the the kitchen had a skillet, it did not I had to go to the local walmart and purchase one, so we could cook breakfast. The water was very frustrating and when I voiced my concern the front desk […] clerk explained that is was and old building and i would have to turn the bathtub and the sink water on full force for about ten minutes so it would get hot and I would not have to have a cold shower then. But I had to get up ten minutes earyl for my seminar so I could ensure a hot shower. Overall it was an ok experirence but I paid more to stay at this hotel than I would have had to pay to stay the one where the conference was. We were attending a trade show at the Convention Center. We arrived in town early to set up. At 1:30pm, we were done and needed to get showered and ready for opening. Both nights we stayed we were awakened by the 2 am party people coming back from Secrets that is just next door. The police showed up the second night and all we could here were screaming and doors slamming. Nice hotel with bar/restaurant in lobby. Convenient to the beach, clean, with roof top pool and bar. Just one street down from Seacrets, which is great for grabbing a meal or having drinks and being able to just walk back to hotel. Loved It!!

Everything was just as I had really expected. The rooms are dated but in fine condition. Great water pressure, always had hot water. The staff was very nice and attentive. There are vending machines on certain floors and ice machines on certain floors. No air conditioning in the hallways.

If any of you have ever been to OC before, you know the quality of hotels are not what you will find in a city or elsewhere. That being said, the Princess Bayside is comfortable, nice enough, and close to Seacrets, Mackey's, and Fager's Island. The one downside of this hotel is that many of the rooms (including ours) do not have a balcony. I don't care […] how bad my view is at the beach, I'd like a balcony just to spend time outside and to have somewhere to dry my towels. stayed here toward end of summer season. the rate was pretty high. The room was lacking in upkeep, definitely showed its age. Bathroom shower drain was not very fast in draining almost clogged. TV was an old 20" tube TV. Location is NOT ideal, unless you're a huge fan of Seacrets, or have a bayside facing room, the noise from the street is pretty loud […] throughout the night, can't imagine how it'd be during peak season. The microwave didn't work, mold in the bathroom on walls and mirrow, had to request cleaning. Pool outside was unsafe, railings were coming up with tiles when pressure on them for getting in and out. I have stayed there 5 times in the past and this was the worst. They are really letting this hotel go downhill, they have seen the last of me.

I booked this hotel at the last moment and only because it was one of the few that had rooms but I was pleasantly surprised. What it lacks in individual charm, it makes up for with a great location, fun pink interior and great views. You either get a bay or Atlantic Ocean view so you really can't go wrong. My daughter loved the colors but as you can imagine, the interior is a bit "tired" and our room had some dusty areas but nothing shocking. The room offered a comfortable bed and a place to shower. Friendly staff and the location is nice. Stayed in what I guess is the older building. Our refrigerator didn't work and the worst thing was the water pressure in the shower was too low. You could barely rinse sand off. The attached bar is a nice convenience.

We stayed in this hotel during the last week of August 2012. It was four of us: my husband, myself and our two children. The rooftop pool was the most enjoyable part of our stay. The hotel claims to have a private beach but you can't really swim there. It is very dirty. It's only good enough for the watersports and they charge you an additional fee […] for them. The carpets in the rooms are very stained and appeared very dirty. We kept telling our children not to play on it. It was very disgusting. The room had a very old t.v. that could be upgraded to a flat screen t.v. Our coffee maker did not work and the hotel just needs to be upgraded in general. During our first night, the housekeeper forgot to clean our room even though we had a sign that stated "Please clean immediately" since 9am. We had to speak to someone at the front desk and the room was finally cleaned at almost 5pm. During the morning that we were going to check out, we decided to go for breakfast before checking out and left the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. We returned from breakfast at around 10:20am to get our things and the housekeeper was cleaning the room.
