The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

The room was very small and a bit tight for friends. It would be nice for a couple. But the room had a cozy private terrace. And the staff was wonderful! The two desk personnel we encountered were helpful, went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed for a great visit and made a point of having what we needed before we knew we needed it. The hotel was clean, the food just right and always a fresh cup of coffee waiting for us. I would return without thinking twice.

Situated in Zwanenburg, Hotel Zwanenburg is close to Spaarnwoude and Business Park Amsterdam Osdorp. Additional area attractions include Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum.

I would have rated higher, but the attiude of staff at night was someone that they should work on. I asked for drinking water. The attendant opened the bottle which I thought would be complimentary. All of the sudden he asked for 3 euros (less than a 16 oz bottle.) I told him he could keep it! He made a big fuss and said that now he cannot sell it. An Awesome Experience, away from the busy city craziness yet close enough to still enjoy either. great for a quiet getaway or a one night stay. "Zwanenb"
Quiet little town -I arrived late so I was looking for something near airport. I enjoyed the quiet little village as a contrast to the crowded noisy pace of Amsterdam. Easy bus/train ride to the city. Not a bad place for the price.
Very small room. Decor veer stark and unappealing. Very brisk bordering on rude service at check in and out.
"Zwanenburg--convenient in-transit stay"
Can't beat the price (including free airport shuttles) and clean, quiet suburban surroundings a short bus ride to city center. Probably not as convenient for those wanting to be in the center of Amsterdam's attractions and happenings, but I found it just the ticket for my last night in country, coming in from Rotterdam by train and having a morning […] flight to the States out of Schiphol Airport. For those needing an arrangement like this, Amsterdam Sloterdijk is the nearest rail stop. Hotel is comfy, with decent-sized rooms and baths. Clean throughout, although I had to remind staff about worn washers in faucets and loose knob on bathroom door. "good value for money!"
If you would like to be within a short distance of Schipol but still be in a small town, this is a good place. The room size is very generous. If you are willing to walk across town (about 1 km) you can take a bus that quickly goes into Amsterdam. You can connect from the bus terminal to trams or walk the remaining way into town.

"The same as I remember"
The hotel was the same as I remember down to the poor service. I arrived at 22:00 and my room was not ready and I had to wait. The breakfast is not very good but there is a very good delicatessen in the village. No trouble to get there by bus from Sloterdyjk station and the free airport service from the hotel was very handy.
"Never again"
Far away from Schiphol. Hotel transportation ok. Unfriendly older lady in the reception. Much better option is to stay in the centre of Amsterdam.
"Too much hype, too little substance"
The hotel does not deserve any rating. Pathetic service combined with the arrogant attitude of the staff makes it a rip off. The breakfast was stale and the wi-fi rarely worked. Rooms were ok but cramped. Neighbourhood is quiet but connectivity to city centre is poor.
"Remote Control"
The hotel is good. Good shuttle to and from airport, with pickup at bus gate #14. However - watch your remote if the young burly guy is checking you in. He didn't give us ours, said he did. After searching high and low in our room for it, we asked him AGAIN if he still had it, and guess what? He did. Didn't even apologize for his incompetence. "Good for overnight stays near the airport"
Zwannenburg is a hotel good enough for spending the night away from the airport noise, it has free shuttle service (at least during my stay) from and to the airport. The surrounding neighborhood is a residential area with some food places, but not very interesting as for dedicating a whole evening to visit them.

The hotel is good it is clean nice and located in the beautiful place of Zwanenburg the staff are helpful and friendly. The bus stop , Grocessary shops Restaurants , super markets,are all a minute walk from the hotel. The only drawback is that you have to change two buses or a bus and train to go to Amsterdam Central, however it takes you around 30 […] min to reach and is not much of a problem except if your comming late at night post 1am.The hotel is good however there is no elivator in the hotel and you have to climb the staircase with your luggage, the stair case is to with pretty dim lighting, travelling Internationally with 2+ bags gets difficult when you C/in and C/out with your luggage also the dinner time should be open till 23.30as most hotels do have and not 2100hrs also no lunch available and a tea cofee maker should be in all rooms is what i suggest. Overall a nice hotel close to the airport app 10-15 min with quick airport transfers complimentary and only 30 min away from amsterdam central which is not to much. However all sight seeing and tours are from Amsterdam central where the Heart is but those hotels are far more Expensive, Hotel Zwenenburg is convient as you travel to the city just through anf fro in the day which is fine. I choose this hotel as the only hotel which gives you a Checkin time at 10:00am as compared to other hotels around in amsterdam where checkin is1400hrs, the hotel gave me an early C/in at 0800hrs which is amazing as i arrived at 0615 hrs at the airport. The staff were very courteous and helpful, the hotel is located in an idyllic village setting. There is a free shuttle bus to the airport. There are no bureau the change any where there, bring your euros in advance. You will not get all the mod-cons (i.e. large flat screen TVs) that the average seasoned traveller would expect, but maybe that is the […] point, a place for when you need to get away from it all. "Hotel Zwannenburg - far from tulip gardens"
This hotel might be close to city and airport. But little far from Tulip gardens. We statyed for 2 nights in this totel. We thought we can use the airport shuttle everyday. But, they told us only at the time of checkin and checkout they can provide free shuttle. Hence, we have to see our alternative travel arrangements to goto tulip gardens which is […] a bid headache, we need to change two buses and a big walk. "Muy lejos del centro"
El hotel esta bien. Solo para usarlo una noche antes de viajar. Llegamos un domingo y a los alrededores estaba todo cerrado. Tuvimos que ir al centro combinando colectivo y tranvía. A la noche gastamos 30 euros en un taxi ya que era muy complicado volver. La ventaja es que tiene el traslado al aeropuerto sin cargo.

"Hvis man vil bruge sin tid i centrup."
hvis man gerne vil opleve natte livet og være en del i centrup så vil jeg ikke anbefale hotellet da der er maget langt til centrup. Med taxa er det dyrt og med det offenlige skal man med bus og tog. ellers en ok hotel i forhold til prisen.

"Zwaneburg, Aéroport d'Amsterdam"
Chambre confortable, hôtel à moins de 15 kilomètres de l'aéroport de Schiphol (service navette). Seul souci, les murs faits en papier à cigarette, ce qui peut déranger en cas de voisin sans éducation qui hurle jusqu'à une heure du matin.

Trevligt hotel men långt från centrala Amsterdam. Det tog ca 45 minuter in till centrum med buss och ca 15 min med taxi men det kostade skjortan.

Hotellet i sig var trevligt och jag fick en personlig kontakt med personalen (fick t ex gratis färd till flygplatsen). Standarden på mitt rum var bra.
