The hotel is nearby to the airport. The shuttle bus connection worked ok to both directions and was free of charge that was very convenient. The hotel was fine. It is very convenient to the airport and has a complimentary shuttle. We were, however, disappointed that there was no early breakfast (before 6:00am) for travelers at a hotel adjacent to SFO airport (we had a 7:00am flight). They could at least have put out cereal. They purportedly have a take-away breakfast box, however this is […] not available on weekends when we were travelling. There is no place to walk to because it is in a small section that is bounded on all sides by major highways. There are no stores and very few restaurants, none of which are open for breakfast - so bring your own breakfast bar. We chose the hotel because of its location near the airport and presumably on the bay. However, there is a huge Marriott between the hotel and the water and there are no windows facing the water anyway. The hotel and staff were fine; the accommodations were comfortable, but I probably would not stay there again. Next time I would pay a bit more and stay at the Marriott which has restaurants and which is on the waterfront. Read more

We reserved four rooms (separate reservations and on arrival all four had some sort of error (none listed, extra room, extra night, put into a suite, etc.). Other than that, the included breakfast was great, cleanliness and room great. Bed was hard for me but I have a bad back.

Excellent reception staff, very helpful. Stayed here the night prior to flying SFO-PVR. Prepaid room and eight days of parking. Shuttle to/from airport was timely and courteous. Plan to stay there again next year.

First off, my experience started with the airport shuttle. A short, 15 minute wait and the shuttle arrived as expected. I never had to call the hotel to dispatch the shuttle. The shuttle was very clean and comfortable and the driver was more than helpful. Upon arrival, the desk attendant was very friendly and got me checked in very quickly. My room […] was superb and the rest of the amenities were everything I have come to expect from Hampton Inn. The following morning, I proceeded downstairs for a quick breakfast and waiting for the 7 AM shuttle departure which was perfectly on time and a quick 5 minute transit to the airport and my stay was complete. The only downside to this hotel is there is not much nearby. The Elephant Bar down the street is the closest restaurant and bar without going to a competing hotel across the street. Otherwise, the hotel is right in the middle of the airport industry district. However, there is a very nice waterfront park trail across the street that would be very nice for relaxation and watching the planes come in. Read more

I decided to book the room as I was traveling oversea the following day early in the morning. Upon my arrival at the hotel late at night they gave me a room at the floor level. Once in I noticed that there was a large light located just outside the window. Unfortunately the curtain were not sliding all the way through and the powerful light was so bright […] to make it impossible to go to sleep. I went outside and asked to be changed to a different room, but the gentleman at the desk told me that that was the last double room available. I founded hard to believe but even so he did not offer any alternative. I was very disappointed about the whole thing especially because the following day I had to endure a long flight. I think Hampton Inn possibly has the best quality in its price class. Of course, this was an airport hotel stay, just 10 hours until our flight. It did its job just fine, including getting us to and from the airport terminal. Bed was quite comfy.
