- Hotel Year Built - 1996 Additional Property Description - The Super 8 Jefferson, Iowa is located off Hwy 30. The motel is located between Carroll and Ames, Iowa. Jefferson is home to the Bell Tower in the Square. The Super 8 Jefferson, Iowa is just minutes away from Forest Park Museum.

Don't always believe negative reviews, as we all know those with something to complain about will do so more than those that would be singing praises.... The hotel is undergoing some renovation (new carpeting!) but sound was not an issue during my stay. Upon check-in, which I was extremely early for on my way through to my daily destination, my room was actually ready! Management was super friendly and I felt like a valued guest as a result. The room was cleaner than most hotels of the same star-class. I couldn't figure out the air-conditioner's digital settings and must have set a timer for it to go off in the middle of the night but when it was running, it was just fine so that was not a fault of the hotel. I was impressed by the soap and shampoo brand and quality here so I used them. The continental breakfast was constantly being checked on to make sure it was stocked. I would stay here if in this area again. Do note that as of August 11th, there is a detour just south of this hotel, for anyone heading south or west to be aware of. This Super 8 is a good choice for staying in Jefferson. It is surprisingly quiet, even though on the intersection of Hwy 4 and Hwy 30. The trains are *very* far away (if you know Jefferson, you know how many there are) and we heard nothing in the room at all. The manager was very helpful for finding places to eat and showing us a map of Jefferson to […] find places we needed to be. Recommend this place to stay.
