Cramped (couldn't open bathroom door all the way without hitting toilet), cracked sheetrock, couldn't regulate air as knob just spun. Horrible stay, checked out early.

I wouldn't stay here again if it was free. There were holes in the bath room walls, the front desk wasn't staffed (you had to ring a bell), the doors were locked after 11PM until 7AM. The "free breakfast" wasn't worth even that much, coffee had grounds in it, there was only orange and apple juice and mini muffins, bread or english muffins for toasting. […] The toaster only worked on one of four slots. I was there for a week so it wasn't just a one day opps. We ending up getting coffee and donuts from a local coffee shop for the last 3 days. A total waste of time and effort. We had to take a smoking room because of our pets. I feel like it is punishment. The room reeks, the bathroom door won't shut (without ramming your body into it), our room doesn't have a microwave while some other rooms do, the "breakfast" consists of muffins, bagels, toast, and 2 types of cereal, the staff isn't friendly (the lady at the desk I believe […] was on a personal phone call while talking to me cause she never put the phone down), the bathroom has weird stains on the walls and grosses me out, we had to book through them directly for 2 of our 7 nights and they charged almost double to hotels.com price. This hotel was a decent place to stay. There was a small continental breakfast provided. The hotel staff was a little disorganized and had difficulty finding my reservation through hotels.com. They also told a relative who called the front desk during our stay that they didn't have any guests under my name when both my sister and I were staying there […] under the same last name. The location would have been more convenient if the main bridge between Maine and Portsmouth had not been closed during our trip. Rarely do I have a negative review of a hotel. The fresh paint and new bed linens did not cover up the sagging floors, the molded walls and the dated hotel. 36 channels and free HBO were offered, our room got 9, and none of the local channels. We had two rooms. They were very small. They were clean, however, they had a musty, closed-up smell. Areas of the floor had holes and soft spots under the carpet causing tripping while walking around. The pool was not open.

I was concerned by the negative reviews for this hotel, but because I was making a late reservation, I had few choices. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel. Was it exceptional? No, but it was entirely satisfactory for our two night weekend stay. There were many guests staying there that weekend. We would stay again.

That hotel was seriously ghetto. For one thing, the bathroom looked like it was from 1970 with cracked tile and a yellow tub. The "continental breakfast" (and I use that term lightly) was basically nothing but some toast and two choices of cereal, and there's only enough seating in the breakfast room for 5-6 people. We had to sit on the floor to eat […] what little there was. Definitely NOT some place I'd go again, definitely not worth the money either. It's the same price as Microtel (where we wanted to stay) but was sold out. Terrible! Each room has it's own "private entrance" and the door didn't even fit in the frame. Kind of pricey for the hotel but it is worth it for the location. Located just over the border of NH and ME right down the street from the Kittery outlet malls and downtown Portsmouth, NH which was great (less than 5 min either way). Checkin was great the people at the front desk were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was old but somewhat maintained […] well, our outside door had issues shutting (had to be slammed several times to shut right), there are 2 doors in the room on the ground floor, one to the hall and one to the outside parking lot. The room itself was grungy mostly the carpet- don't walk barefoot on this carpet! The fridge was a good size but didn't work and someone's lunch was left inside. The bathroom was surprisingly very, very clean and updated, which was nice and the beds were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just cereal and coffee which was not great, don't bother. We stayed here for one night as passing through which would be enough, I would not want to stay here any longer. It was nice being so close to the Kittery outlets, this made it convenient for us as we wanted to hit the malls 1st thing on our way to more northern Maine. If I were to stay in this area again, I would try to find somewhere else first and use this as a last resort, but it wasn't completely horrible. We flipped on the A/C and the room was cool within 5 minutes. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of pressure and hot water for the shower and the TV had more channels than we expected. We will stay here again.

Hotel was understaffed so we couldn't check in until 4pm or so. Overall the hotel wasn't bad. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was a little dated, but no big deal. Pool was ok. Staff was ok. Can't expect too much for the cheapest hotel in the area. It is in a good location and for the money compared to other hotels it was fine.

The hallway as you walk in smelled something awful like bad curry or b.o., the pool was dirty and the cable was out so we had no tv to watch, they told us that they were switching to comcast digital and there was nothing they could do. It is hard to keep a kid relax when there is no tv to watch cartoonsand the pool is also dirty.
