Hotel is located on a main street at the east end of town. The neighborhood seemed safe and was quiet despite its location on a main street. I stayed there mid week in April – noise level might be different in mid-summer. A portion of the parking lot is shared with the TraveLodge next door and is confusing when entering and awkward while parking. The […] lobby was tiny. My room was of generous size, clean and quiet. There is a complimentary breakfast – the usual rolls, juice, yogurt, cold cereal, and coffee – self-served on Styrofoam dishes, consumed with plastic utensils. There is a laundry room but no other amenities. The check-in process was agonizingly slow. I was the third party to enter the lobby – two desk clerks were discussing a billing issue. One clerk checked in the first waiting party, and with two other parties waiting to check in, the second clerk left the lobby! I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes, had not been acknowledged, and when my turn to check in arrived – the clerk apologized, ran off to handle a problem somewhere in the back, and finally returned ten minutes later to check me in. Basic cheap motel- nice, but nothing fancy. Mattress a little springy, but other than that pretty good. Cliental was shady, but there is nothing the motel could do anything about. My car wasn't broken into, but I brought my valuables in the room.

Small, clean room. No log for Cable channels. Worst of all the heat (noisy) cycled on and off ALL night. 45 to 60 seconds on and 45 to 60 seconds off. I finally turned it on high until I woke up too hot then turned it off until I woke up cold. Not a fun night!

i was not that impressed with Super 8. our bed was 'well-worn' soft and all night we kept rolling to the middle and bumping each other. consequently we didn't get much sleep for our next day of travel. the breakfast included more than i expected (i expected store bought/package pastries). the breakfast was advertized for a certain time frame but the […] employee started cleaning it all up 30 minutes early and there were people in the breakfast room still eating and wanting to get more. I passed by the room where the food is kept and the employee was putting food away, dropped it into the sink and put it back on the rack and put it away. glad i wasn't eating there the next day. why is an employee who has 'matinence manager' on his shirt taking care of the breakfast anyway? We stayed in room 216. We found a hair in our towels. The bed was stiff as a board. We were able to take a comfortable shower, but the shower lever seemed to be off balance because the only way we could have a manageable temperature was to put it at the coldest setting to get a bearable hot temperature to use. While overall our stay was good, "the free breakfast" served was by far the worst we have ever seen. The last morning prior to our departure at around 6:30 a.m. ( the breakfast is advertised to open at 5:00 a.m. ), we saw only left-overs from the day before. Overall good value. Room was clean and comfortable. The shower valve only sent about 1/3rd of the water to the shower head, gushing most of the water down the tub. Everything else was okay though.

The stay was good, couldn't check in until right at 3 pm and the clerk at the front desk in the morning could have cared less that I was checking out or standing in front of him. The breakfast is standard with a toaster as your option for a hot breakfast. Overall it wasn't bad.

I give it a 4 for condition only for the fact that they have 2 ways in or out. If you over look that it's been a while since I've been in a better hotel. The people are friendly and plenty of space in the rooms. Short walk/drive to food or shopping or gambling.

The room was fine for the price, it was nice having a fridge and microwave in the room. My only real complaint is the bed and the pillows were rock hard and the windows need better locks.

This place is just old and gnarly. Parking lot is small and hard to negotiate. Carpet in room had questionable stains. I only took off my shoes to get into bed or the shower. Extremely noisy. Every sound made by other guests was amplified. I just happened to get a room next to the stairs. If you ever end up in a room next to the stairs, demand another […] room or move to another hotel. You will not get any sleep! Anytime someone went up or down the stairs, their footsteps were as loud as cannon-fire. I could not hear myself think. The tube television in the room was old and so large, it hung off the edge of the bureau. I was afraid it would fall on the floor on me! Location was not good. I would not walk around in that part of town, and there was nothing convenient nearby. Had to drive elsewhere for food, gas, etc. Service was not very good. One of the buildings was Super 8 and the other was Travel Lodge. They operate as one entity, but have two separate check in desks, lobbies, etc. Whenever you needed something you had to go to the Travel Lodge lobby to get any help. Well - it's a Super 8 and I wouldn't have minded the bare bones room if I hadn't had to pay as much as I did - definitely not a bargain! I've stayed in much nicer places for the same price. But - it was Elko and they had me over a barrel - there wasn't much available, with exorbitant rates for better accommodations. This was the cheapest non-smoking […] room I could find. But the Travel Lodge which was literally right next door (same parking lot! probably about as classy as the Super 8) had a smoking room for $25 less. So it wasn't worth what I paid for it - although it did have a good fridge, microwave and small coffee pot. Uncomfortable bed; kind of shabby overall; no amenities. Bleah neighborhood.
