Lady's First design hotel - Zurich

My husband and I stayed in a regular room with bathroom. As far as the location goes, it is fantastic. You are only a couple of blocks from the Lake and from a main tram station (Bellvue). The hotel has been refurbished and although it is an older building you can tell the rooms have been updated. My only 2 issues were the squeaky wood floors, I felt […] terrible when walking around late at night or early in the morning fearing my neighbors would be bothered. My second issue was the pillows. I knew i wasnt at a posh hotel, but they were truly lumpy and terrible. Try getting a room on the 4th floor or higher. There is minor construction in the area and the noise can get to your room. There isnt a lot of closet space and there are no drawers, so you may have to get creative with where to store your clothes (specially if there is 2 of you). Also, if you go in the summer, keep in mind there is no air conditioning. The staff is extremely helful and kind. Breakfast is included and it is a very decent continental breakfast. Overall I would stay here again just because the location is fantastic, but i would request a room in a high floor, and see if they can do something about the lumpy pillows...... Read more

Lady's First Design Hotel is a very comfortable, clean hotel in a great location that offers very nice breakfast. It is only 1.5 blocks from the Tram line to anywhere in the city and 1.5 blocks from the Lake. Wonderful restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend it very highly.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed and shower were both large enough to fit my 6'5" frame. The location, a block or two from the lake, was perfect and it made the stroll to and from the main part of town enjoyable. A very nice hotel.

Superior hotel on a very good location. The staff is quite serviceable but what most surprised me was that my room looked like new and it was impeccably clean. I enjoyed the stay tremendously. The wireless connection in the room simply worked; a PC in the lobby to print documents was extremely helpful. A good glass of wine by the open fireplace at the end of a long working day was just what was needed. And the cherry on the cake: the question about the advertised option for a massage did not trigger "Oh, you […] should have booked that 3 weeks ago", but instead it was still available. very well run, convenient for trams 4 (railway station, main sights), 2 (Bahnhofstrasse - shopping) and close to lake. Peaceful hotel with good room, breakfast, and pleasant and helpful English-speaking staff in a good neighbourhood. We stayed for three nights and would definitely stay again. Being male not a problem!

Great hotel, with excellent service. Simple, plain and well maintained. Not too far from main town. 10 mins walk. Competitive pricing. Only negative is the lack of air conditioning, not that it's a problem in the winter.

Loved this hotel! Great staff & beautiful room, easy walk to the center of everything in Zurich. If walking is not your thing the tram stop is 2 minutes away. Room was spotless & very appealing, bathroom was really cool!

Nice and clean hotel in a quiet location but a bit far from the main train station. The only not a good point of the hotel is its parquet floor which might annoyed those sound sensitive persons. Breakfast is tasty but in a small portion. Also, start quite late at 7:30. Staff are friendly and helpful.

While searching via the internet for a suitable place to stay we were presented with a multitude of choices. A review that caught my eye was from a local Zurich resident who was impressed enough to comment that this […] hotel was the best kept secret in Zurich. We stayed at Lady's First for 4 nights in March 2013. The hotel is located in a quiet, nice neighboughood on the east side of the lake. The walk to the old town is about a 10-15 min, which is okay. Wir verbrachten 3 Nächte im Lady's First Design Hotel ,waren rundum zufrieden und haben nix zu meckern! Wir wurden sehr sehr freundlich empfangen, und durften unser Zimmer bereits um 10:00 Uhr morgens beziehen.Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig! Auch das Badezimmer hatte eine gute Größe und war mit Bademantel, Badeschlappen, einem Einwegrasierer und weitern […] Toilettenartikeln ausgestattet,die ich normaler Weise erst in einem 4 Sterne Hotel erwarten würde! Man hatte sogar die Auswahl an verschieden Kissen (zB. Allergiker oder Nackenstützkissen)! Einen Adapter für die Steckdose gab es auch umsonst leihweise an der Rezeption! Das tägliche Frühstück war auch sehr sehr gut, es fehlte an nichts!Es gab leckeres Vollkornbrot und diverse Brötchen, sowie Croissants und andere süßen Gebäcke. Desweiteren wurde frischer Obstsalat, Joghurt, Trockenobst und Körner angeboten, sowie diverse Joghurt und Marmeladesorten und eine große Auswahl an Käse und Wurstaufschnitt. Rührei und gekochte Eier gab es ebenfalls jeden morgen..an Kaffe hatte man die freie Auswahl..ob Cappuccino, Latte oder einfach schwarzen Kaffee,er wurde frisch für einen zubereitet..Tee stand natürlich auch zur Auswahl..und es gab sogar Sojamilch! Die nächste Tramhaltestelle (Nr. 2 und 4) war auch wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt und in 2 Haltestellen erreichte man das Zentrum, der Fußweg dauert allerdings auch nur 10 Minuten.Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich bestens weiterempfehlen! Très bonne impression, mis à part l'accueil très réservé du personnel de l'hôtel. Les chambres sont un peu bruyantes (on entend très nettement les voisins) mais vu que c'est un vieux bâtiment, c'est normal.

バルコニー付きの部屋のはずが違ったので文句を言ったがNoということで交渉の余地なし。　部屋の金庫は不具合出し、何より部屋が暑くて寝苦しかった。　窓を開けると蚊が入ってくる始末。エアコンがないのでどうにもならず３泊も予約したのを後悔した。　ただ、今回の私の旅行目的にあったLocationのよさが救いでした。　しかし、　　いつもは素通りの　Zurichはやはり泊まる町ではないと確信。　値段の高さと質の悪さを改めて認識。ドイツ人の友達に言わせると、東スイスは最悪でドイツ人は東スイスを素通りしてイタリア側にいくそう。　　私も、２度と使う気はありません。

L'albergo è dedicato alle donne. La SPA è riservata alle donne. In realtà noi eravamo una coppia marito/moglie e ne erano presenti altre. L'Hotel non è vicinissimo al centro ma è in posizione tranquilla. Il costo però non è adeguato ai servizi offerti: non c'è il portierato dopo le 21 e quindi con la chiave della camera (chiave tradizionale non scheda) […] si apre anche l'ingresso principale dell'albergo. L'albergo non ha parcheggio e non ha convenzioni con parcheggi. Si può parcheggiare in strada pagando 15 franchi. Il wi-fi è piuttosto debole e lenta la connessione. Read more
