"Beautiful Site, Lousy Room"

A charming site near Stuttgart Vaihingen, but better on the outside than the inside. Hotel staff was courteous and pleasant and the restaurant was good, but the room was small and smelled of poor plumbing. Very expensive for what I got.

"Outstanding hotel"

This hotel is one of a few in a quiet, wooded setting. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful, and polite. The breakfast buffet is among the best that I have seen. And parking is free, closeby, and always available. The suite was great (with an outdoors balcony - rare in Germany)! My only complaints are that the "modern" patterned carpet made both myself and my wife dizzy, and the shower lacked water pressure. Plenty of hot water, it just didn't come out very fast. Also, the weekday rate can vary to nearly double the weekend rate if there is a festival or popular activity ongoing (typical in Germany). In its out of the way location, if you want to ride the S-banh (subway) you'll need to drive there. Overall, though a relaxing place to stay!

"Great staff but not for vacationers--caters to business men"

The staff was very friendly, kind and helpful, but this hotel is not for vactions. We were disappointed that no part of the spa was usable. The only thing functional in August was the sauna. It is not located conveniently for going into the city for museums and palaces. The room was okay, but the carpet was filthy. The breakfast was terrific, but the dinner for the price was not worth it. It is very obviously a business mans hotel, and there is little to no enticements for vactioners.
