very friendly staff. clean hotel. delivers what it promises. i liked the bow shooting and air pistol hooting range. all inclusive blue deal was ok for the $25 per person - for $25 do not expect too much from the cocktails or the buffet though. Location was good, private beach, nice pool and nice to have the buffet outside close to the beach.

My wife and I spent 10 nights here and it was really a superb stress-free time. The staff were very helpful, kind and willing to assist in whatever way possible. The hotel's Balinese architecture is beautiful. Landscaping is well designed and meticulously groomed. The beach is superb - cleaned daily with lots of lounges and umbrellas available The pool is well maintained, with a great swim up bar. There was also a kiddies pool that was adjoining. Handy, because the main pool was deep for little ones. A large area around the pool could be rather shady for a lot of the day. If you're interested in full sun all day, then head to the beach. We booked an executive suite that included a buffet breakfast. When we arrived, we were offered the all-inclusive options but passed, simply because we enjoy trying different local restaurants and do not drink much. Otherwise the $55 US per person per day may be worth it to some people. Our suite was spacious, bright and very clean. Had 2 bathrooms! The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day. Lots of choices, many different fruits, juices, pastries, yogurts, cheese, hot dishes including bacon, sausages, Balinese and Indonesian offerings, pancakes, omelette station and very good coffee. Hotel is outdated, there are plenty of other choices in the Nusa Dua area for the same price that are nicer, Beach area was not what we expected, Lagoon with stagnant water. We stayed at Novotel Nusa Dua for our first 3 days, it was cheaper, newer and in a better location. Benoa is out of the […] gated Nusa Dua and is a dirter area. Whereas Nusa Dua is a gated community with western style streets and security. The Nusa Dua area has nice shopping and food at the Bali Collection, and is a quiet area for those who want to relax and be away from all the noise. If you are looking for more excitement I would recommend the Kuta area. Nusa Dua is safe and great for families, I would recommend looking for a hotel in that area vs. Benoa which is a few minutes north of Nusa Dua. Read more

This hotel is located near Nusa Dua on Tajung Beach. We stayed at Melia Benoa for 3 nights and decided not to take the all-inclusive since we wanted to try a variety of restaurants. It is located within a 20 minute walk to approx. 20 restaurants at the Bali Collection Shopping Center in Nusa Dua (a shuttle is available during the day and at night for […] your convenience). The room which we were assigned at first was overlooking the roofs of a small market and we had requested a garden view. The staff offered a new room overlooking the garden. The pool level room was a bit musty so we opted for a 2nd level room. The buffet was magnificent and the grounds are outstanding with gardens, pool-side bar and grassy terrace giving to the beach. We bought tickets to the Sunday evening dinner and dance show which was well worthwhile at $25 US per person. We went snorkeling and to a sea turtle farm where we met a couple of very friendly Balinese guides. This is a great hotel and the price is realistic. I would definitely return to Melia Benoa. I love this hotel - have stayed 5 times now. Beautiful big rooms - the rooms are bigger then the ones at Melia Bali also in Nusa Dua. Great breakfast, great staff, great pool - easy shuttle every hour to Bali Collection for shopping/dinner - blue taxi to Bali Collection is $1.50 or private taxi is $5. It will also take about 30 minutes along the beach […] front to walk if you wanted. Great Spa directly across the road - Carla Spa - for $5.50 a one hour massage - also a convenient store directly across the road and money changer 100m away - do not change at Bali Collection as the rates are lower. Small markets right next door and whilst the beach itself is not all that nice to swim in out front - it is still a beautiful area and kept very clean. Also doctor on site at Hotel which has come in handy on one occasion with a case of Bali Belly - $150 for the doctor but good to know she is there. We started our five night stay with a pleasant and friendly welcome and served juice. Because they were fully booked our first night, they upgraded our room for that one night. The beach had an enclosed area for swimmers. It was quite small but when i went, there werent that many people swimming anyway. The beach provides access to excellent watersports straight from the hotel beach. Location of the hotel was good if you do not want to stay in the hussle and bustle of kuta. Easy access to nusa dua area for things like the Bali collection. If you planned on staying in Tanjong Benoa, this hotel is in an ideal location. There would be a lot of traffic to get to kuta, but then again, theres a lot of traffic to get anywhere. There's an Art Market right next to the hotel and a 24 hr convience store across the street. On our last night, I asked about checking out at 3am. They said it would be no problem and immediately asked if we'd like to have breakfast prepared. We stayed in the Executive Suites which were spacious and well-equipped. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The resort is small in comparison to surrounding hotels, however, it had all the necessary facilities to make your holiday comfortable. It was the rainy season, so the Kidsclub (although "open") was seemingly not operational ... we […] only had one child of 4 years old, so this did not bother us because we enjoyed the holiday as a family. I am sure during high season, however, the Kidsclub would be more than adequate for a families needs. For children (and adults) there was a large outdoor chess set, but, if your children were younger, it lacked an outdoor gym. The hotel did have a child's pool and separate adult pool. The food at the 2 main restaurants (El Patio & Amarta) was tasty and beautifully presented and as an alternative there was a buffet menu at the Menega Restaurant (lunch & dinner). This is a well-appointed resort with many activities included. We loved the pool, the rooms were comfortable and breakfast and lunch menus were fine. Not so the evening buffet which lacked variety. Prior to checkout, we enquired about the availability of a late checkout, or a day rate as we had an 11 pm flight from Denpasar. The man on the desk said that although they normally would do this, they couldn't because the resort was fully booked. We subsequently found, from another staff member, that this was untrue. This could only be due to company policy! The Resort 'Taxi' cost is also double the going rate for metered cabs. Bit of a ripoff! I booked it seeing the high ranking on tripadvisor. But the staff is not international tourist friendly. I called the hotel from bali airport and they refused to acknowledge that I had a reservation with them. I had to show a printed receipt on arrival at hotel. Location, the top end of Nusa Dua. Don't go further up the peninsula. To many Jet skis, Parasailing speed boats, very noisy. This end, is clean and quiet. Local shops 5 mins away and a mini mart with ATM across the street. It's 30 - 40 mins to Kuta by taxi. 10 mins to the Village and shopping is developing up the pensulia In short, Yes, I would go back tomorrow and I am recommending it.. The pool was nice and although the hotel was relatively quiet we could always get a beach chair or deck chair by the pool... Le service de table attentionné et les serveurs toujours souriants, disponibles et agréables. La plage est bien entretenue. L'espace réservé aux baigneurs est beaucoup trop exigu et encore plus particulièrement à marée basse, ceci pour laisser un maximum d'espace aux engins motorisés pour sports nautiques qui sont omniprésents et gâchent le calme que l'on vient rechercher dans ce genre d'établissement. Le coût des prestations additionnelles (en dehors de la formule choisie - only breakfast ou all inclusive) est exhorbitant. Les boutiques pour achats (souvenirs, etc...) sont sans intérêt et les vendeurs n'ont aucune motivation pour la vente de leurs produits. En résumé une étoile de trop dans le classement de cet hôtel.
