We had a view of the parking garage. The hallways were dark and mysterious. The lobby was uninviting and crowded. The hotel staff were friendly and well-informed, but everyone seemed to be on edge. Definitely not a boutique hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Always wanted to stay here"
The lobby is great with a great atmosphere and live DJ. For drinks, the rose drop is bar none! Very hopping place! Surprised by the over $50 parking fee per night though! But it is valet.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Best aspect of our stay was the attentive staff. Specially our concierge Mike, who really made our weekend special. Thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun anniversary trip at the W, Seattle"
Good experience. Great staff and location. Close enough to walk to most major downtown attractions. We will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
I had a great stay at the W hotel. The staff was very nice. The room was a great size. Got everything I expected with my stay here. The valet was very fast retrieving my car too. Overall it was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could have been a nice stay"
Front desk was great, convenient location and friendly staff. The valet parking was very expensive and an unforeseen expense, it was disappointing to find out that customers staying at the hotel pay the same rate as someone who is not. Had we known about the large additional expense of the parking we probably would have afforded a different hotel. The […] room was nice but hot, we could not get the temp down below 72 without setting the thermostat at 50. We would have contacted the front desk but it was not until we came back to our room at 11pm that we discovered it still had not cooled down and we did not want staff fumbling around in our room that late. We eventually set the thermostat at 50 and by morning that brought it down to 65. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Easy access to everything in the downtown. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, great staff"
I had a wonderful stay in Seattle at the W. I have never chosen this hotel before, so I didn't know what it would be like. I like that it caters to couples without children. There are opportunities to go to the club at night, even though we didn't stay there long from tired days. The music was great though. All the rooms seem to have good rooms. Melissa […] checked us in and upgraded us to a larger room with several windows since it was available. I really liked her for doing this. And, all the staff were super friendly & hospitable. This hotel offers Coffee in the am, spa water during the day, and a large gym with really nice equipment. You are a few blocks from the Pike Market. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but doesn't live up to name"
Nice location, clean, but doesn't live up to the "luxury" part of its reputation. Lack of easy-access wifi throughout in a city like Seattle in days like today was my first disappointment... No, paying $5/hr after entering in all your billing information is not easy wifi... add it to the hotel room costs and make it "free" and easy to access for all […] guests. Second - the nightclub-ish atmosphere is fun at night... but dim lights and lack of any normal morning amenities makes it uninviting as a hotel for users who wake up before noon. Lastly, while shutters were put in the rooms for aesthetics, having curtains would be nice if you don't want to put on a show for the taller buildings that surround it... just saying, those blinds don't close well, affording little privacy. "Great Location, Good Hotel"
The location of the hotel is in the center of the commercial district downtown and is only a short walk away from all sorts of shops, grocery, and the Pike Market. It's a long walk to the Space Needle though (about 45m) so you might grab a cab to get over there. It's a very convenient location and only a few blocks from the lite rail station. The lobby […] was fantastic, very hip and modern. The room was nice but nothing to write home about. I stayed in one of the nicer king suites and my window faced the back of the hotel overlooking a sad little dilapidated building, no ocean view for me unfortunately. Wireless internet was not included with the room which is lame but most fancy hotels are starting to do this ($15 for 24 hours). Staff was friendly and helpful but they do run out of umbrellas fast so bring your own. I would rate my stay there as a 4.5 out of 5. Would probably stay again if I could get an ocean view. This was my second pick after Hotel 1000 but could not get a reservation there in time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nickel and Diming"
Being asked to pay $14/day for Wi-Fi and $55 a day for parking was a little obnoxious, especially when 3 Starbucks within a block of the hotel had free Wi-Fi. That being said, a clean wonderful room and awesome staff helped take away the sting of the fee schedule for ancillaries.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was more than I expected especially for a business trip. It was luxurious and very comfortable:)!Genuine Expedia guest review
"No curtains in the room, facing the sun."
Fanciful aesthetics overrule function and practicality. If you're into post-modern looks, then you'll like this place. The front door is actually into a chic night-club, and you'll have to climb stairs to reach the front desk (or go back outside and around to the side of the building for the side entrance). Everything is dark inside, so if you're into […] that kind of thing, again you'll love it. There is lots of noise in the mornings on the back of the building, so if your room is there, you will be very unhappy if you like to sleep in (past 8am). The Sheraton is much more practical (although service at Sheraton is subpar). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I visited Seattle with my daughter for a mother daughter weekend and we had a great time. The W was close to Pike Place Market, shopping and the Art Museum. Everything we were interested in seeing and doing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a four star Hotel"
The rooms are small and the furniture and fixtures are worn and outdated. The air conditioning does not work well and the noise insulation is poor. The couch seating at the window is nice and the bathrooms are not bad, but this is not a four star hotel. Maybe 3 star at best.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a four star hotel"
The hotel is OK at best. The rooms are small and the condition of the furniture and fixtures is poor. The beds have a feather bed topper that does not fit correctly. Wifi and continental breakfast is not included. Movies are available and convenient from the very small tv, but they are very expensive. The air conditioning system is not very good and […] the sound insulation is very poor. We could hear everything from the surrounding rooms and the hallway. The couch near the window is nice and the bathroom was OK, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, but this is not a four star hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun hotel at a great hotel"
The reception at the W was fast and friendly. Bar staff and happy hour were great. Overall the hotel is super sleek and sexy, maybe a bit dark and definitely not a good fit for kids. This hotel caters to business people and the 20-40 yr old hipsters that will enjoy the late night DJ and social scene.Genuine Expedia guest review
"W always Wonderful"
Was in town for a Mariners game. Not one of my fav. W's, but always a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice staff..way overpriced.."
The staff were very attentive and tried to help whenever possible. But, very expensive and overpriced on so many levels. Their restaurant was predominately sushi, though they did make us simple fish and chips for $30!! Unfortunately, there seemed to be nothing but problems with their phone lines which made it very difficult to call for anything needed. […] Also, no coffee maker in the room! "Swanky hotel right in the middle of everything"
Totally for the trendy. Awesome hotel with a lot of swanky, sophisticated details. Great bar and restaurant downstairs for the fashionable. The rooms were elegantly appointed, comfortable bed, nice, clean carpets, cool window bench to gaze over downtown Seattle. I'd definitely go back. A bit pricey, but not too much more than other hotels in area. Very […] convenient to light rail... Just a quick block walk to University Ave stop and a 35 min ride to Sea-Tac. "Good location but outdated rooms"
The rooms look old and used and for the $ paid, I was quite disappointed. There was dust collecting in spots and it felt like a 3-star hotel at best. The location is excellent and the staff, lobby and gym were great, but I will try everywhere else in Seattle before overpaying at W again.Genuine Expedia guest review
I enjoyed my stay at the W especially the very friendly and efficient staff. It did gripe me to pay an additional $56.00 to park my car there for the night. HIghway robbery!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice but not entirely what I expected"
This hotel described itself as downtown. It's in the downtown district but a good 10-15 minute walk from the space needle. Its very convenient for walking to pike place market though. The rooms were lovely, clean and well maintained. The hotel didn't offer many in-room amenities and is designed to attract a young trendy crowd. The cocktails at trace […] bar were fabulous. It seems none of the hotels offer free wi-fi in the rooms, they should!!! All in all a great hotel but bit designed for kids. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Sleek and elegant. Comfy bed and pillows. Large King room and bathroom. But parking outrageous! $55.00 per night. Walk to everything SAM, Pike's Market, Safeco and Centurylink stadiums, but wear comfy shoes.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Bring Your Ear Plugs and Don't Park At The Hotel."
It's a hippster 20-30 something hotel. Parking us $54.00 a day! Outrageous price. Then they gouge you for water and in room treats. Not surprising given it's the W. The lobby and hotel hallways are too dark. You will hear street noise and we got yo hear a little kid cry for three hours eatly Saturday morning. I don't know why anyone would bring a child […] to this hotel! Suggestions for the management. Get rid of the blinds! You have gorgeous views. The blinds aren't working and they are a pain to operate. Please provide in room coffee. It's Seattle! I don't want to come down to the lobby for a cup of coffee. Spend some money updating your worthless Wi-fi. Turn uo the lighting in the hallways and elevator. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was really friendly when checking in and really made the effort to ensure my friends and I had a good time in Seattle. They had a bar downstairs with a DJ and happy hour starting at 10. "Nice hotel for overnight trip to city"
The "W" was a perfect hotel for a our one night stay. The room was spacious and clean but was a little worn looking. The bed was super comfy and pillows were as well. The room was very quiet with no street noise - we were on the 22nd floor. Really liked the smell of the hand soap. Shower drain took some fiddling to get it to drain appropriately - had […] to pull the drain out of the tub because just turning the knob to open did not keep the water flowing down the drain. We spent the evening in the bar sitting by the fire - plenty of room for our group and fun people watching. Drinks and snacks were good. Check out was noon which allows for sleeping in and eating breakfast before checking out. Valet parking is expensive - over $50. for the night (we didn't do any "in and out"). Overall it was a nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It was great, thanks! The kale soup was delicious, the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful and the views of downtown were stunning. The W hotel is my choice of hotel for whenever I travel!Genuine Expedia guest review
We arrived very early and were checked in right away. We were even upgraded to a higher floor with a great view. The room was very nice and the bathroom was one of the prettiest I've seen in a hotel. Restaurant service was very good. The food was tasty but very pricey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It was my husband's birthday and he's always wanted to stay at the W, so I surprised him for his bday. When I booked I told the person on the phone it was his bday hoping for "special" care. When we arrived the first encounter we had was the $57 ($52) garage fee, when there was parking next door for $35. Check in was fine. Young lady at the counter […] gave us a voucher for 2free drinks and appetizer when I told her it was my hubby's bday. I reserved a king corner, we were NOT impressed. We faced a garage. The room was bare and not what we expected for reputation of the W. my nightstand wasn't clean. Overall, just not a great experience that we were hoping for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our overall stay was short and we paid to stay in a larger corner room and was given a view of a parking garage! When we called to have it changed to another room they changed us to a smaller room for the same price, which on the website was less expensive. They had no parking at the hotel when we arrived either so my husband had to park the car elsewhere […] and walk in the pouring rain! And in the end the room service food was over priced, the bed was soft and comfortable and I'm glad our stay was short for $200 room, $38 grilled cheese, $4 bottle water and $37 parking 2 blocks up in the rain......
