"Easy walk to Seattle shopping and Pike Place."
A splurge for us, but fun to have such easy access to Pike Place, shopping, etc. This is a classy, full-service hotel and the view from the 21st floor was wonderful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good, central location. Staff helpful when asked. Gym above average.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient but outdated furnishing"
The hotel service was completely up to par with W standards but the hotel room was unusually out dated. The furnishings were visibly worn out and not in line with W hotel standards that I'm accustomed to.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent choice for downtown"
The location in downtown Seattle is excellent. It's 2 blocks from the light rail, so it's easy to get to/from SEA-TAC. I would have given it all 5 stars except the bathroom design is a bit inconvenient, and the walls a bit thin, but otherwise the rooms are comfortable. Housekeeping consistently came late in the afternoon. The front desk initially put […] us in a room with "an obstructed view due to construction" and offered free Wi-Fi as compensation. The "construction" was a parking lot right across the alley which has been there for years and totally obstructed any view at all. We had to wait several hours for the next room which had a nice view. The fitness facility is one of the best I have ever seen in a hotel. We would definitely return. Our stay was probably one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel visits we've had a in a long time and it was only for one night. When we checked in we were told straight away that our room didn't have a good view and that the W would be comping our wifi for the night. A little odd at the moment since we hadn't been to the room yet. When we […] got to the room it was blatantly obvious what the issue was, we were looking directly into the parking garage behind the W. My wife called down about changing rooms and we were basically told 2 things- 1. There were no more rooms available for us to move to. 2. Since we didn't book directly with the W there was nothing past wifi they were willing to do. You can imagine the extreme disappointment we had when we heard that. We were instantly disenfranchised with the W when we came to learn we were 2nd or 3rd tier customers because of how we booked. To make it even worse when we came back after dinner and went to sleep we found out that the parking garage has its lights on all night. The only window covering in the room was very thin and no curtain. Our room was very well lit all night long... Additionally the room was quite dusty and not very clean, the shower head was loose in the wall and the water handle for the shower fell off when we turned it on. "WARNING Expedia User - Do Not Stay at W Hotels"
I took a 2 week vacation trip in the PNW area and my last day I decided to stay in downtown Seattle. I was thinking that it would end my trip on a high note. However, after explaining this to the front desk I found myself in a room looking into the parking structure. I asked to be changed to something else. When I went to get the new room keys, the […] staff member told me that since I was only staying 1 night and I booked through Expedia, that was the best they had to offer. The next room was at a lower floor with not such a nice view, the towels looked old, the bathroom grout had mildew. but it was better than staring at the headlights on parked cars. Overall, I was disappointed to hear the staff said that. I had reserved the room 6 weeks in advanced. It was not like I showed up at 9 pm and tried to book a room for the night. "Fabulous hotel in downtown Seattle."
We enjoyed two nights in this beautiful, upscale hotel. One of the nicest rooms we have ever had. We would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Seattle.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to shopping and attractions Seattle."
We stayed for a night, we loved the room. If you ask you can get early check in. We had an early cocktail party so it was great to be able get ready in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not ready at check-in"
The hotel is nice, rooms are large for a W, good views, great breakfast, only one MAJOR problem. Our room was not ready at check-in time which is 4pm. We were told, "sorry, but a big group checked in before you." Then we were told, "the room hasn't been cleaned yet." These are not things you want to hear after a 6 hour plane ride and 4 hours of sight-seeing. […] We finally got in our room just after 5, but for a $500 a night room, it should be ready at check-in. One other problem, I asked the concierge for a restaurant reservation at a restaurant that was NOT touristy. The restaurant was the biggest tourist trap I have ever seen. The concierge on duty seemed like a young college student with no knowledge of the area or restaurants. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Quiet courteous and clean. Not cheap though."
Everything was nice. The sushi bar was spotless. The cocktails and sushi were perfect. Great staff in the bar, front desk, valet and housekeeping. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Parking is ridiculous. It came out to $47 per day with taxes, fees and the $1 dollar tip each day (I know a $1 is chincy but I felt ripped off). I should have used public transportation […] and a cab when necessary, it would have definitely been cheaper if you factor in that I also had to pay for gas and a rental car. We stayed at the Seattle location W Hotel. Great location. Plenty to do within walking distance. Oh and be prepared to go around the block several times when arrive since the signage sucks. The parking valet entrance is not on Fourth Avenue. It is on Seneca. The hotel is right on the corner of 4th and Seneca. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location in Seattle"
the W rarely disappoints and Seattle was a step up...great location not just for the downtown sites, but the buses and trains to get to all other areas including the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"View of the parking garage"
We booked the room for a nice night to cap off our vacation. Unfortunately upon our late arrival, the room that they stuck us in looked straight into a fully lit parking garage. Unless you love fluorescent lighting pouring into your hotel room, i would stay away....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Outstanding staff ! Bar and food out of this world. Michael the valet scored extra points when our room which over looked a parking level ( on the same level ) he found unacceptable and called to the front desk and had us moved.......Genuine Expedia guest review
"Didn't have to drive anywhere"
Loved the lobby, liked the ride to the Mariners game in that car and a very nice driver. Staff were very helpful in getting us maps and directions on what transportation to use to get places. We missed having a microwave and a pop vending machine at the hotel. Liked the fast elevator. A swimming pool would have been nice. the shooting four blocks away […] was kinda scary, but no fault of the hotel. Parking was our biggest problem and incredibly expensive considering what we were already paying for our rooms. The view from our room was right over the top of an ugly roof of some other building. That was disappointing, but at night if you just looked straight out, all the lights were pretty in the skyscrapers. Liked being in downtown Seattle. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Waited over 2 hours for a room. Saw other people coming in and getting room. No free refrigerator or microwave. No one brought my suitcases up after waiting 30 minutes. I had to get them myself. No one opened doors for you. Not the friendliest staff. Room was clean, nice and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tired, old, needs a refresh."
Not what I've come to expect from the W brand. The rooms are old, tired, beat-up and the bathrooms are average. Definitely among the low-end of W properties.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Too many extra charges"
The room was fine and the downtown location convenient. With better public transportation, I would probably have preferred to stay in the Broadway/Capitol Hill area, as the downtown area is too dominated by business travelers and convention-goers, but the hotel is only two blocks away from the light-rail station connecting to the airport, and many sights […] were in walking distance. For a hotel in this price range, it is very annoying that they do not provide free WiFi in the rooms, making you go down to the lobby for this. One has to be on the alert for the extra charges -- a free bottle of water next to the bed, but a charge to drink the bottle of water in the bathroom, various pay-per-view things on the TV, etc. The restaurant is also pretty expensive -- best to go elsewhere for breakfast, but you can have free coffee in the lobby to get the energy to go out hunting for a good breakfast spot. Rooms were clean and comfortable, so overall a pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great area of town, easy walk to all areas. Hotel hall ways dark and shower water pressure is very weak. Otherwise, a great place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Smooth service and funky atmosphere"
There was great continuity among all the employees- I felt like I was getting very consistent service. I liked the funky atmosphere and all the little touches. Some of the room furniture felt a bit more IKEA than I was expecting, but overall it was very pleasant and comfortable. Great downtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It's a beautiful hotel with unparalleled service. I'd return here on my next trip to Seattle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice room, but due to an energy saving sensor the room we always stuffy and warm we we returned. Great sushi restaurant downstairs. When coffee shops and some fast food restaurants offer free internet access, I find to hard to justify the daily or hourly access charges, especially in a place like Seattle. Fairly noisy on the lower floors. Overall I […] was not terribly impressed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The only complaint I have is this. We were there for only one night. Housekeeping came to our door twice on the morning we were leaving. Once at about 8:30 and then again about an hour later. I love early room cleaning when I'm staying several days but two Saturday morning "wake-ups" was a bit annoyingGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location, not so clean rooms"
I had a spectacular view room, in floor 16, (had booked 2 actually, but had to downgrade one because my niece came to stay with us and they wouldn't fit in the bed, and I did not want to pay extra 35 for a roll-away bed... so they moved my mom to the 7th floor). My room in the 16th floor was very nice, really with a spectacualar view of Mount Rainier. […] Houskeeping service, super lacking in details or overall effectiveness. We ordered room service (3 cheese grilled sandwich amazing, btw) and dropped the fries on the floor. The next day, all the debris (not the fries themselves, which I picked up myself), was still there, they did not even vacuum the room, when it was pretty obvious there was need for vacuuming. Even the glasses from the OJ on the night table, were still there... and I mean this was 7 pm next day!!!, I had to have someone come up and vacuum then because I had to pack and did not want to get my suitcase all messy. On my mom's room, there was a blood stain on the bathroom floor as they entered the room. Towels were dirty on that first day, beds were hastily made two days in a row (wrinkled all over when you turn the bed down) not vacuumed, garbage still there , the same from when they came in... she even complained to the manager and they gave her a 50 us worth of continental breakfast for her and my niece and daughter... but the lack of thorough cleaning made it a not very nice room all in all... Staff was super friendly though, and the location superb... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
