"On the way to Sedona"
The motel rooms are very small. No breakfast. Too close to the train railway. Noisy all night. For the same price you can book a better and more comfortable motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
5:23 AM freight train stopped with a screeching of dozens of car hitches, only to start up again a few minutes later, even louder. The trains ran right next to Route 66, also full of truck traffic all night long, right under the window, one that wouldn't close properly, and was fogged up, It all added up to a sleepless night. The receptionist was somewhere […] between rude and indifferent. The only plus is the location, very near downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

the lady in the front was really not professional. she could mess up all you're great experiences in Grand Canyon. Only the location is good. you can't expect anything more than this. By the way there is no hairdryer . Just one towel was prepared. That's it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Down towne close to Amtrak Station"
Rooms had that WELL USED look needs up dated...stayed two nights at the Inn with a trip over night to the Grand Canyon in between.First room had a shower that did not work...NO HOT water and no Pressure. 2nd stay when we arrived for a late check-in NO room as we had ordered and checked on before our trip to the Canyon. Needed room with two beds found […] it had been given to another customer and also told Keys to rooms did not work which seemed untrue because parking lot was full..Was offered room down RT66 away from the Amtrak Station needing a cab which I did want because train departure was at 4:30AM and one block away..was able to take the last room at the Inn a king size bed. I set up and my 13 year old Grandson took the bed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The lobby had a terrible stench. The parking lot cannot accommodate pickup truck. Extremely small room and bathroom. Hair on the ceiling. Peeling paint. Spend your money elsewhere. You could look in the owners suite pig sty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent for late arrival from Amtrak station .OK"
Safety was of no concern for the amount of time we were there. We stayed a total of 3 night between both stays. It was unfortunate they only served coffee and Hot water for thier "Continental Breakfast". Then, coffee was only served from 0600-0930. Then everything was OFF and one had to find their own Breakfast. This was also unfortunate for us. We had […] no vehicle to find a resturant early in the morning to even get breakfast. We rented a car from Avis. We had to turn it in on our first day on our second stay Aug. 12th.Some type of accommodation for a light breakfast at the hotel should be available to those who rent a car, and need to stay another day until their Amtrak departure very early the next morning. "Great for when everything else is taken"
This was a great choice after everything else was taken. Was a bit pricey for the quality but still walking distance to downtown.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place for my needs"
For my needs this hotel worked very well. It is right by the train tracks so if your a light sleeper this one may not be for you. Also the rooms are pretty small, I would say about 1/3rd the size of a typical hotel room. If you have a vehicle parking is very limited and a large truck my not be able to park here. The parking lot is very small and compact. […] I arrived early and was able to check in early. The staff was very nice and everything in the room was is good working order. "FIND AN ALTERNATIVE - HOTEL IS AWFUL"
Paid for a queen, ended up with a standard bed in a room that amounted to little more than a closet. Wasn't gross or anything, just a small bed in a tiny room with a tiny bathroom. Believe me, these hotels have their place with the small size and inferior quality, but their place is when you are paying $40-$70/ night at the most. The tv didn't even […] have a remote... The reason for selecting the hotel was just to have all of the historic downtown Flagstaff in immediate walking distance. That was the only thing the hotel had going for it. The lobby reeked, the staff was less than intelligent and very slow, the parking was impossible, the room was just a joke. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Worst hotel ever!"
My second day at the motel my room hadn't been cleanned at all. I asked for at least clean towels in the room more than once and I didn't receive them until that night; and after several requests. I believe because of that, the next day the staff removed my cable and remote control. I believe it to be payback for asking why my room wasn't cleaned the […] day before, and for requesting new towels. I can say that I would NEVER stay here again. Good luck to anyone who does. parking is horrible. although we showed up late 9pm. After all day travel from cali and visit the grand canyon.. just need a place to sleep.. Maybe 15 parking spots available for 25 rooms. "downtown Flag Rodeway rules!!!"
Excellent motel with real ceramic tile rhroughout. Room had coffee with a maker, a frig, and a micro. Wi-fi was extremely fast and reliable. Air conditioning came in handy. I will stay here again on my next visit. Room was somewhat very affordable and staff seems to care about the place. ERICGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I reserved a room with a queen bed since I was traveling alone and did not need two full size beds. Instead, I was given a half size room with a short twin bed and was told that was all they had left. The reservation and confirmation both referenced a queen bed more than once.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"location is the factor"
Very small and dated, the bedroom was clean but bathroom floor was sticky and the bathroom door was sticky also. Owner really nice and accomodating. No hair dryers in rooms, no ice machine, limited parking, inadequte electrical outlets. Typical of small, inexpensive motels in Flagstaff on old Route 66. Walking distance to all the fun downtown stuff […] is the key to this place but it really needs a facelift. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We came on the train and the hotel is just a few steps away from the Flagstaff train station, so the location is perfect for those traveling by train. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Seems like it cost about double what it should be. Tea coffee and juice is not continental breakfast, with no solid food. Perfect location if coming in from the train at night and wireless internet was nice. Seemed safe enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay but room smelled bad."
For the price it was okay, but as soon as I entered the hotel room smelled. I was only there one night, and there was a train going by at all hours, which didn't bother me but may bother others. While this hotel is very close to the Amtrak station and the town centre, so extra convenient if you don't have a car, other patrons were so noisy through the late evening and into the night that it is not a place to stay for a restful sleep. "Roadway "Railroad" Inn"
We were pleased by the location of the hotel downtown Flagstaff. The noise from the trains going by at all hours was about our only complaint. Although, when I booked the room through Hotels.com I requested 2 Queen Beds and we were only given 1 Queen Bed upon check-in. The woman at the desk said there were none available but then was able to give us […] 1 King Bed since another guest had not checked in yet. The front desk lady was late to respond and borderline rude. I ordered a king bed online and got place into the last open room downstairs that was a double....she told me it was a queen....NOT... the second floor was open.......the smoke detector was broken and lying on the floor when she opened the room door for me, saw it, and ignored it...(city code […] violation)....no hand soaps in the bathroom and no wash clothes....only reason to stay here is proximity to Amtrak station for a 4:30 a.m. train... "Dirty sheets and a broken heater"
I wasn't expecting much, Rodeway Inn is a great cheap room usually. This time however I ended up with a room with a heater that just blew recycled air and the sheets were dirty. Location was convenient to the downtown area for shops, bars and restuarants. The room was noisy from train traffic off and on all night. Bathroom was very basic with no shampoo and no hair dryerGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location... not much else"
Probably the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Aside from the easy access to downtown Flagstaff, this hotel offered little else. Cramped parking lot for any car larger than a compact(forget it if you have a truck). Dimly lit, dingy room. Filthy carpet. Barely enough space to put a suitcase on the floor without having to walk over it. No outlets […] in the tiny bathroom. The pillowcases had hair on them so we called for fresh linen(??) and the replacements also had hair on them. Thank goodness our AC unit worked during the winter visit. "Only good thing is the close location to Bar/clubs"
I had to park across the street at the Chamber of Commerce parking lot because the lot was full. I went to take a shower the night we check in and discovered that we did not have any soap or shampoo. I went to the front desk and asked for some. She asked me why I needed it and why am I taking a shower tonight and not in the morning! Really. after 5 […] minutes she comes back with one shot glass of shampoo that barely got me through one shower. "Rodeway Inn-Downtown-right in the downtown"
We wanted to be downtown and we were. This hotel is convenient walking distance to the square, all restaurants and in our case to our daughters home. We could hear the trains at night, there was a brawl outside our window in the alley and as we were right by the stairway to the 2nd floor we often heard people coming in later or leaving early in the […] morning. "Rude staff and terrible customer service"
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and it's ok if you can get it cheap enough. The rooms are simple but clean and you can walk to downtown. This time, I accidently reserved a room for the wrong night. I called the hotel less than 15 minutes after making the reservation and the was rude to me and blew me off. They wouldn't let me speak with the manager […] and never called me back. Knight's Inn is just down the street and is just as clean and simple and usually the same price. The staff at Knight's Inn is usually way more friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap and very close to Downtown"
Wasn't sure about this place, when I drove up, but the room was clean, although small, and it was only a two block walk to downtown, which is where I wanted to be. "Rodeway Downtown Flagstaff"
Cons: Rooms very small; located on one of the busiest intersections in Flagstaff and near heavily traveled train tracks. Small parking lot. Pros: reasonable rates, clean and fairly comfortable rooms with fridge, microwave, WiFi. Trains don't blow their horns in Flagstaff any more, which greatly reduces the annoyance factor. Very convenient to downtown […] shops, restaurants, and bars. Overall - acceptable but only if you want to be located downtown, there are better places to stay in Flagstaff.
