"Look beyond the front desk"
The front of the hotel seems decent. That's until you drive around to the very rear of the "motel" and climb the damp stairs to your room. Needs some serious updating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Unexpected quality hotel for a budget price"
While on a 2 week road trip up the east coast we stayed in a different hotel every night. Our agenda wasn't set and since it was off swason we didn't make a lot or reservations. While on Cape Cod I read a lot of Expedia reviews and decided on the Hyannis Harbor Hotel, based mainly on price and good reviews. This hotel turned out to be my favorite of […] the whole trip! I liked it lots better than the Hilton we stayed at in Boston. While the Hyannis Harbor Hotel is an older hotel, it was clean and our room was very nice. It was convenient to just about everything and just across the street from the Nantucket ferry. I highly recommend this hotel and we will return on our next trip. "Not very happy"
When I opened the door of my room I felt like I was in Europe ... very small room, and bath. It was cold, so I had to turn the heat on ... it took about 4 hours before i could feel something ... The power strip where all the coffee machine and TV where plugged in was off and I had to move everything to turn it on. Not very happy with it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pig With Lipstick, Nicely Applied"
The Hyannis Harbor is a good example -- I actually say this admiringly -- of putting lipstick on a pig. An old, tired 1960s roadside motel has been heavily facelifted, painted neutral beige, and supplied with a new restaurant and reception area, so now, from the outside, you can almost forget its ghastly architectural origins. The rooms give things […] away a bit. They're clean enough, and the mattresses work, but the ceilings are low, the floors sag, the bathrooms are small, the water gurgles in the pipes, the doors bang, and everything opens directly in a U shape to what used to be the parking lot (now a swimming pool and small bar area). Not a place you'd want to stay too long. Still, you're directly across from the Hy-Line Ferry Terminal, and for a late-night arrival before an early-morning boat, the convenience can't be beat. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The location was very good, walking distance to restaurants and the ferry to Nantucket. Our room faced the street which was a bit noisy at times, although quiet at night, however we weren't there during high season. There wasn't always adequate hot water for our showers in the morning. Room was clean. We didn't […] use the pool so I can't comment on that. Overall, I would stay here again although I would request a room away from the main road. "Great location-smelly rooms"
Can't say enough about the location of this hotel, on the water and close to everything that downtown Hyannis has to offer. Restaurants right near by, and plenty of activities. Now, we went during what is still called the offseason, and the room smelled like it hasn't been used since the fall. Our friends had the same issue. Other than the musty smell, […] the room was nicely renovated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The inside counts"
Though it didn't look like much from the outside, we really enjoyed our stay at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel. The room was very clean, really nice and the staffwas friendly. It could use a touch up from the outside, but other than that we can recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best keep secret!"
Location, location, right across the marina!! The lobby is beautiful, you go in, and you already like the place. The receptionist was wonderful, pleasant, nice smile. She explained very carefully where our room was located. Our room was spacious, clean, had a fridge. OH, boy...what comfortable beds...slept good, felt safe. The area around the pool was […] very pleasant. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
At first we got checked into a room that the heater didn't work, but the staff changed us to another room. It was not as clean and nice as how I would have expected. The room and hallway kind of have a scent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not as advertised!"
This stay was disappointing and I put the blame at hotels.com's door. The hotel was closing for the season on the day we left. Their restaurant was closed already, and because of staffing, the beautiful indoor pool had to be accessed by calling the front desk, where they would send someone to unlock the pool door and sit with the patrons using the pool […] Because the hotel was understaffed, this process made it very uncomfortable to guests who just wanted to site by the pool and read and take an occasional dip.Our slider was difficult to open and close but when we called, someone came, shut it tight, put the security bar in place, but nothing was done to improve operation. The room and bathroom were excellent and very clean, and the mattress and bedding were top notch. Location is great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Exploring the Cape"
Room was a corner one and was huge - with 2 double beds and lots of window. Liked the fact that the sink and counter were outside of the toilet and shower area making it easier for 2 people to share. Very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Meh+ Sees like it would be a happening spot during the summer.Genuine Expedia guest review
From the parking lot, with our luggage, we had to navigate up a flight stairs, across a boardwalk, up another flight of stairs, down another flight of stairs, then down a dark hall. Thank God my husband is strong enough to make 3 trips with our luggage, there is NO WAY elderly people could do this. It is unacceptable! The shower, obviously repainted, […] had a HUGE chip of paint missing. The toilet clogged 2 times in our 3 days there. The front desk had no way of making change for the laundry machines. My husband had to use the soda machine to make change. There were 10 people waiting to use the 2 washer/dryer because they have so many people using them from the tour buses. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location for the Nantucket ferries."
Nice hotel, good value. I was there in October so the restaurant was not open although there were excellent restaurants within walking distance. Outside pool was not open - too cold but there is an indoor pool. Room was nice, clean, quiet. We chose the hotel for the proximity to the Nantucket ferry and it was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
When we got to the hotel we were excited to have a room that was quite with a nice view, however that did not happen. Our view was of a parking lot and at six thirty the following morning we woke up to the sound of laundry carts being pushed up and down the halls. The cleaning staff was also very loud when talking to each other. When I requested a room […] change the staff at the front desk was very helpful and friedly. However when I got to the new room and one plugged in our phone chargers the lights next to the bed and the alarm shut off. For the money that was paid I was disappointed with this hotel. "Rude, Rude, Rude"
We arrived at the hotel and were told we had to wait until 3pm. The man at the front desk told us that we would have room 122 with a balcony which is what we booked. We came back at 3pm and were told we had to wait another 45 minutes. We were then told that there were no room with balconies for us and that we only paid for a 'standard" room which does […] not have a balcony. I showed them our reservation which clearly states a BALCONY. Then the extremely RUDE manager told us that for MORE money she could give a room with a balcony! What!!! We left immediately and di not stay here. In the lobby were other guests waiting and complaining about not getting the rooms they paid for. STAY AWAY....VERY poor service...they ruined our anniversary weekend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One night stay"
Looked for a hotel in Hyannis on the beach but couldn't find any. This is located at the wharf across from the ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Also fishing boats and harbor cruise's. Very colloquial to the area. Several restaurants within walking distance. Recommend the Black Cat! The hotel was a little dated but clean and the staff was […] friendly. This was probably the nicest hotel in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Across the Street from Ferry Terminal"
We used it as a base for a day trip to Nantucket, so proximity to the ferry terminal was the deciding factor. It is a motel in an OK state, so don't set your expectations to high.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay however, the restaurant was not open as of 8:45 pm and the bar was closing in a few minutes. We wished that the hotel had included this information when we booked the room as we were arriving late. This was on a Friday night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"BEAUTIFUL HARBOR VIEW"
It is a shame that i had to be there for a short period of time and on a business trip and couldnt really enjoy the HARBOR at all but the view was incredible. Small hotel with good attentive service. Problematic connection to the internet and i had to call from my cell phone and spend about 45min on the phone with customer service so they could figure […] out what needed to be done. It finally worked but it was time consuming deal and i needed to finish some work for next day and so it was frustrating. The room and bathroom were very small but clean and not so outdated. Clean smell. Wood floors on the outside where VERY NOISY when people walked by with luggage on wheels but otherwise calm atmosphere and not too crowded. Great location and within walking distance from a few restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff pleasant. Great location for ferry. Sink drained very slowly. Outside needs tlc. Our deck was peeling paint and wood was worn and actually curling. Bottom outside step at our entrance was curled up and step was tilted backwards. Very awkward landing on this. Had to ask for extra towels just to have enough for each person in our party.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location is great."
The room was nice but our room location was across from a very busy tavern and we could hear the noise up until closing (2 am). We were on the 2nd floor but still could hear the conversations of the groups leaving the tavern and walking through the parking lot of the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice place--great location for cruise ships"
Great location for cruise ships to MV and Nantucket--literally across the street from hotel. Comfy, nice place. We did hear a group at the front desk complaining about their experience--not sure what happened but they apparently weren't too happy about room availability late at night or something like that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location in a nice area, across from ferry"
We were disappointed that the hotel restaurant was not open, which would have been really convenient for breakfast. We were able to get an o.k., but very limited, breakfast from a nearby coffee place. For dinner, we ate at the excellent Black Cat Tavern, a short walk from the hotel. It is charming and had excellent food, service, and ambience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very niceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The grounds, fire pit and outside table were beautiful. Our room was very moldy and musty. We had to keep the door open when we were in the room (expect when sleeping). The carpet was wet on my feet in a large corner of the room. The information book on the table stated that the pool was open 9-9. We came back from Nantucket at 7:30 looking forward […] to using the hot tub. We the pool was locked. We spoke with the front desk upon check the next day and explained all of our concerns. They barely spoke English and acted like they really did not care. They explained that we could have gone to the front desk and they would have opened the pool. That information should be in the booklet, not have guests guess. I called the front upon desk arrival about the moldy and musty smell and asked for an air freshener they send up a man with a spry bottle and he sprayed the room and said they do not have the air fresheners that go off automatically. We were charged and extra charge for 2 more adults in the room ( which we have never been charged before). The manager for the hotel stated that that charge was from Hotels.com for your service fees and commission. I am very dissatisfied with the hotel and staff. Will never revisit there again. "Nice hotel next to Hyannis Harbor"
We wanted a place near the boarding docks of the fast Hyline ferry for a day trip to Nantucket and the Hyannis Harbor Hotel was perfect for what we needed. "Recommend one night only"
Seems with some effort it could be nice. Check in staff were so nice. The room was big. Bed was king size and comfortable,Great for one night to take the ferry No mirror except bathroom No shelves to put your things on in the bathroom No accessible electrical outputs in room or bathroom Outside area was open to smokers and made it unpleasant Wifi not […] working got lots of spinning Maybe it was overwhelmed by other guests? Ac/heating unit blew upward into the curtains, so had to tie it back to get it to flow into the Windows were not clean enough making the great morning view of the Hyline ferry and the ocean dock area were kind of a bummer. Had a long and winding schlep from the parking space we were given. Not a biggie, but the complementary slippers were sized for "Big Foot". Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, bathrooms could be updated"
Wonderful location, across from harbor and walking distance to town. Room was fine. Comfortable beds. Bathroom was small with no room for our toiletries. No exhaust fan. "Pleasant hotel on Hyannis harbor"
We stayed for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. The highlight for the kids was the outdoor pool -- heated, salt water, not too crowded. We never used the indoor pool, didn't look desirable at all. The rooms were fine, clean. Carpeting seemed just about ready for replacement. Sheets & blankets can easily gross me out, but these were crisp & clean. No […] old vellux blankets :-) Restaurant was decent, propane heaters made it pleasant to sit outside even on a cool night. It did seem like the hotel charged a daily parking charge ($15.94) just because they could since they're near the ferry. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
not sure why a couple would be given twin beds but too tired to worry about it. It is the only hotel I know that charges you to park, something I forgot about from previous visits. No face cloths were left on day 2. The room was clean and quiet. It's close to the ferry but charging for parking is a deal breaker for the futureGenuine Expedia guest review
