"Location is great, as is the hotel."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.
"Pleasant Setting and Charming Family"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas, TX" on Apr 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

The Macdonald Bath Spa is lovely, the staff is helpful and attentive. We were automatically upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful surprise. No complaints. Would definitely stay there again.

"The Queensbury Hotel - the perfect gem in Bath!"
What a fantastic little find this is! From arriving to valet parking right through to checking out - it was a dream of a break. Our authentic spacious room was on the 3rd floor, and even from the luxury of the massive 6ft bed, boasted a fantastic view over Bath through the double sash windows. Watching the sun go down from our room with a couple of […] glasses of wine was a spectacular way to appreciate Bath's fabulous architecture. The location couldn't be any better - the hotel is a 5 minute stroll from the best Bath has to offer, and has some great finds along the way - Jika Jika being my favourite....a great little coffee house (the best latte I've ever tasted!), offering great organic food and one of the best English Breakfast's I've had! Classy bars and fantastic restaurants are in abundance in this part of Bath. The hotel's service was exceptional - they do everything they can to look after you....even offering an umbrella (without prompting) when we headed out to an overcast morning. It really was the most memorable mini-break we've had and made my fiancee's birthday perfect. If you're looking for a perfect romantic break in a great city (with great shopping!), this is where to go! I've no doubt we'll only ever return to The Queensbury when staying in Bath in the future! "The Queensberry Hotel - Expensive but excellent"
The Queensberry is a small hotel in a terrace of Georgian houses just north of the centre of Bath. Our room was very pleasant, well furnished and equipped, although certainly not exceptional for the price. The way the building has been converted means that the rooms can get hot (ours was in the eaves) and there can be some noise from outside - Russel […] Street has a lot of student flats. The best bit about the hotel is the service, which was terrific - friendly and discreet, and very keen to help. The hotel also provides free valet parking, which isn't mentioned in the hotels.com description, and is a real plus because parking in Bath can be an issue The Olive Tree restaurant in the basement is excellent - some of the best food we have ever had. Be warned however that it gets very heavily booked. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bath, and about 20 minutes from the station. Bath is very well provided with restaurants etc, and a really nice town just to wander around, when it stops raining! Read more
