Having a daughter at Loyola U/north campus, location was perfect as was the price. One block from the lake provided runs to Evanston (north) or the campus (south). Local markets and food items nearby. For the two of us, Super 8 was Super!!

We were very satisfied with our stay here. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older, but the room was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was nice. There was a park nearby and a beach within a few blocks. We took a bus to get to Chicago. So we relied exclusively on the city transportation and it was very easy to get to the hotel by bus or subway. The bus stop was right across the street and the subway was only 4 blocks away. It is about an hour from the city. The breakfast was your typical continental, but all items were fresh.

it's a fine hotel if you don't want to spend 175 or 200 for a room in the chicago area. the price difference is made up in distance but the hotel is right off the red line so it's very convenient. free parking is a huge bonus for anyone driving into town. i've stayed here twice and have no complaints. service is nice, no complaints.

I was pleased with lodging here, but will only be able to return with family members when a recliner or easy chair with ottoman, is added to the room for a family Member w/special needs. We hope this can be done. Just one room with this would be an answer to my prayer. I hope I will be able to arrange lodging here when I return on our next family visit in April 09. Please let me know if this can be done. Thank you! God bless you!

This hotel was good for us because of it's location and free covered parking. The room was large and had microwave and refrigerator, 24 in. TV. It was kept clean and during our stay in February, it was quiet. the free breakfast was typical for a budget hotel; cereal, oatmeal packets, toast, sweet rolls, mini-bagels, juice and coffee. Only 2 tables for guests to use. We would return because it met our needs and the price was right.

Older hotel and overpriced. Continental Breakfast had a lot to be desired. Not much variety and the bagels were stale and the breakfast room was too small. Though our hotel room was clean, it smelled of cleaning supplies. Convenient to an "El" stop and Loyola. Being able to park on site was definitely a bonus. Mainly a residential neighborhood with not much in the way of shops and restaurants.

The hotel was fine, the rooms were good, the only big problem that I found was the size of the breakfast area..With the size of the hotel, and the amount of guest, it only had 2 tables with 6 chairs and people were forced to either stand or take their breakfast food to the room.. Needs room for improvement.. and the garage needs room for improvement also..They have gates that are locked so you only go in/out one way.. and in trying to rearrange my car, I backed into one of the poles and did damage to my car, had the gate been open it would not have happened..

This hotel is worth its price. It's in a safe location in northern Chicago. We liked it because it was near all our friends' homes and public transportation was easily accessible--Jarvis station on the red line was only 3 short blocks away. The free parking also makes the hotel a great deal. We were also satisfied with the staff.

You won't find a better room for the price and location. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the staff was friendly. My only complaints would be the cobwebs in the room and some questionable electrical outlets (one didn't work and one was hanging completely out of the wall). We will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future.
