I like it for the price and service is awesome, I booked it through hotels.com I was told there are lots of rooms, & i can order continantel breakfast for free, when I got there they said there is only two rooms, and no continantel breakfast only oatmeal and coffee

The staff was nice enough, but our non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes big time, perhaps coming from the bathroom vent but not sure. A spider fell out of our towel. Lots of partying in the parking lot all night long. Front desk said they had no rooms for me even though I'd payed. they ran upstairs to check rooms, came down and started helping another customer while I was told nothing and stood waiting. Then asked if I would be helped she said she texted the manager who is with her children right now and they will get back to me soon! Asked her to call the manager. […] She did and spoke to her saying they will put me in a double bed at no extra charge. This whole ordeal took about an hour! 1 st room was a smoker room, I'd paid for a non-smoker. Then second room was so saturated with room deoderizer I had to sleep with the windows completely open. Everything seemed to be as expected from an Extended Stay except the Queen Size Bed in my room looked and felt as if it had been used as a landing pit for an Olympic Pole Vault event. My back is still reeling from it. It is time to upgrade that piece of furniture.

The hotel room smelled terrible-moldy. The person on duty just sprayed air freshener and we had to keep the windows open all night (there were no other double rooms available). Since we had to leave the windows open, we were chilly and asked for blankets, but they had none available (all in the wash). The Extended Stay America Orange County is currently undergoing extensive remodeling and construction (none of which was mentioned on their site or on Expedia.com). At first glance, the building looks condemned with broken sheet rock and damaged stucco on every external wall (ground to roof). There were signs to park away from the building to prevent […] falling paint and stucco from hitting your vehicle. The outside of the building would not have been as much of an issue because we are usually either in the room or out and about. The continental breakfast was not kept up and was picked over by 7am each morning (no muffins, creamers or cereal bars left). The smell of the construction chemicals (paint or stucco) was hard to stand. The vehicles became covered in the dust from the construction. The construction crew was repetitively banging on the external walls positioning their ladders, removing the stucco and yelling as early at 6am both mornings of our stay. We immediately called Expedia when we saw the condition of the building, but we were told it was too late to cancel our reservation. The hotel desk manager said we would barely notice the construction and rennovations (far from the truth) and wouldn't allow us to cancel our reservation. This was easily our worst hotel stay ever. Room was just fine. Clean and up-to-date. Bed a little too firm. Unimpressive "Grab and Go" breakfast. The first day, we thought it was decimated when we walked by it an hour after it started, but the next day it looked exactly the same about 10 min. after it opened. Hardly anything there. Quick, convenient, and fair price. A lot of construction workers or contractor types staying at the hotel. I was greeted by 3 sitting in the tiny lobby drinking in pjs at 11 pm. Nothing a good shower and shave couldn't solve. The elevators smelled bad but I only had to hold my breath until the 2 floor.

Well this is the least expensive in the area but this last time was not good. The bedspread was dirty, no toiletries, old bar of soap in shower, coffee pot did not function, and only 3 pillows.

Garbage piled up by the door going into the hotel (Friday night and wasn't removed until Monday morning), nasty smell in the room that would not go away, only once a week room cleaning, very loud and possibly inebriated "regulars" in the lobby every morning taking over the breakfast area, paper thin walls, rock hard bed. This hotel is 15 minutes from Disney, it is in a safe location. The staff are friendly and accomodating. We truly enjoyed our stsy. The kitchenette was a huge bonus. Only complaint is that the beds are a little to firm so if you have any back issues that can be a problem bit the room did have a recliner which worked well for us.

The Extended Stay concept fits the bill for travelers on a budget who prefer to forego amenities they do not need or want, i.e. daily maid service, room service, restaurant, bar, etc. The rooms resemble studio apartments complete with a good-sized kitchen area for storing snacks and/or preparing meals. I have found these properties to generally be clean […] and comfortable. The staff is always exceedingly helpful. And, parking and wireless internet is free. I have two recommendations: 1) Use cleaning supplies that provide aromatherapy with pleasing, earthy or citrus-like scents to make the room more welcoming and relaxing; and 2) stock the bathroom with separate shampoo and conditioner bottles. Guests should not have to go to the front desk to ask for this basic necessity, nor should they be forced to use the shampoo-conditioner combination offered -- which is damaging to hair. Read more

The rooms were clean enough, and the hotel was in a safe area. However, the free wifi that they advertise is the equivalent of 1998 dial-up--it will not even load a youtube video. If you want anything more, then it will be $15 per week. Not much money, but, realistically, your free internet is hardly free.

The extended stay option is a great concept. The accommodations can be described as hybrid of an apartment and hotel room. Each room is similar to a studio apartment with a mini-kitchen (with a full-sized refrigerator) included. The lighting is terrible (with dim, fluorescent bulbs) and the beds are hard with stiff pillows and cheap linens. The decor is also dismal. Basically, the exterior of the hotel is misleading. I will say the staff is very helpful. And, the wireless internet and parking are free. I hope these hotels get a major interior renovation soon. The exterior of this hotel leads one to believe the property is upscale. The building looks like a popular Orange County developer designed and built it. But the interior is a bit disappointing and needs work. On the upside, the rooms of this extended-stay hotel include a small kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, range and microwave. And, the bathrooms […] look recently redone. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and the shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. (I had to go to the front desk to get a small bottle of complimentary shampoo/conditioner and borrow a blow dryer.) The beds and pillows were not super comfortable but got the job done. The walls are not ultra thin. But since I could hear the TV next door I wore ear plugs to bed which helped me sleep. The downside is the rooms in general have the appearance of being a cheap motel with the dim, depressing fluorescent lighting, tired decor, and sickly-sweet smell of air freshener in the hallways. And, my room appeared to be very clean. but unfortunately did not smell fresh. Still, the price was right for a last-minute overnight stay and the staff was very helpful. I would stay here again if there was no other cost-effective option. And, I might try staying at other locations. I think the concept of an extended-stay hotel is fantastic.
