"ok for a cheap one night stay"
Rooms really need some fixing up. Beds are literally about 1 1/2 ft. off the floor. There were a coup like e things I thought were unique..pool table in a guest area and they don't require you to provide your credit card if you already paid in advance. Rates were reasonable but I don't think we will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is under new ownership and construction and repair went on the entire weekend we were there. Bar area has been opened up and is much more guest friendly. The mattress was new. Still just two pillows for a King bed but they would provide more if requested. Check in went quickly and smoothly. At the current price it is a great deal.Genuine Expedia guest review

"OK, but not highly recommended."
The Staff were pleasant and helpful. I was disappointed that the room had no refrigerator or microwave. Most of the carpets were spotted & stained, giving the impression that they are infrequently cleaned (or at least never shampooed). Some walls also appeared to have water damage. However, the room smelled fresh and clean and the temperature was very […] comfortable without the need to adjust or listen to a loud air-conditioning unit. The showerhead also emitted a high-pitched whistle that was very obnoxious. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not so much..."
I should have turned around when I pulled into the driveway...it's pretty clear that the owners/management take no pride in the appearance of their property. I reluctantly walked in and went past a bar area and to the reception. I checked in and had no problems getting my room key and the staff was nice. Found my room and walked in...it was quite apparent […] that I did not get one of their "fancy" upgraded rooms as they show online, mine was more out of a horror flick. No room darkening blinds, so a floodlight lit up my room all night (in hindsight, not such a bad thing). The bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows were a joke The bathroom vanity had whiskers on the faucet and there was a nice little note on the mirror informing me that the water was NOT safe for infants to drink. Never took a shower because the tub had so much dirt/soap scum build up in it, I'm pretty sure it would defeat the purpose of a shower. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Room was in Disrepair"
Toilet was not sturdy - it rocked while sitting on it Vertical window shades were falling off Air conditioner was noisey Overall everything looked like it need some kind of repairGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in that motel room about 15 minutes while we frantically looked for another motel online. The lobby is dark, dingy, and felt unclean as did the room we were given. The mattress in the room was very bad. Air conditioner was not working. It took the two service desk people 5 minutes to acknowledge us even though we were the only other people […] in the room. We didn't stay there even one night and left within a half hour after arriving. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Mattress needs replacement. Room rug needs cleaning bad Main hotel entry aisle rug thread bare WIFI did not function properly, finally gave up Room sink needed attention Breakfast as bad as ever experiencedGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed here previously and had a fairly decent room. This time plumbing issues in both sink and shower. I like to frequent non-large corporate places but this needs so much of an upgrade that I won't stay there again until they do so.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"NEW OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT ARE A COMPLETE JOKE!!!"
02/22/14 wi00xx New Freedom, Pennsylvania
This place is so messed up it might as well be torn down. New owners/management turned a place that had so much potential into a horrible nightmare. Adding used furniture to their rooms and charging outrageous prices (even though there is a brand new hotel across the street) and having to constantly hire new employees because no one even knows what is going on....isn't going to give any promise for guests that they will have a great stay here that's for sure! Broken down, run down, nasty last resort!
"2nd worst motel visit"

WOW!pictures are misleading.Hot tub out of commission-pool room smelled horribly.Left a tip for the maid, however she failed to show so I kept it as I made the beds, had to call the desk for towels and have them pick up our garbage,I guess toilet paper is extra as I had to ask for that also and no, I did not have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door.Continental breakfast?Get there quick cuz when the bread is gone-its gone.No fruit on it for the entire weekend-WAIT, there was a orange there on Saturday morning however it was spoiled and didn't see any other fruit there all weekend however Quik Trip is there so we ran over and bought some.Halls to room could use a good vacuuming.People smoking outside every exit, however this should be 'banned' by the pool room as my grandkids entering and leaving by the only door to the pool room and it was darn cold there. ON the plus side, pool water warm-front desk fellows nice and obviously trying to do their best with what they have to work with-noted them folding linens, doing wash etc.Pool room noted with 'rust' around fixtures, what appears to be potato chip crumbs on floor Friday and was there for entire weekend, still there when I left on Sunday- and make sure to bring your own drinking water! There's a sign that says 'not safe for infants' however my daughter in law drank water from the room and became sick. Sheets clean, beds fairly comfortable.Place could use a big cleaning and wouldn't be half bad.Glad I didn't pay full price for the room or I would of demanded my money back. However would not stay there again-ever-and definitely would not recommend this facility. My son and family there also, first room they were in heat didn't work, they got moved and in that one the phone didn't work-
"This place sucks"
12/31/13 Eric W Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Only reason I stayed here multiple times was because my company had an account setup there. Beds are uncomfortable, no descent chairs to sit on despite plenty of room for one. For whatever reason the toilet paper dispenser is behind the toilet. A couple co-workers and I were given attitude by the manager(?) one time because we didn't make a reservation beforehand. Breakfast is a joke, milk that just sits out on a counter for who knows how long with a loaf of bread and a couple cereal selections (not sure why they have cream cheese since they don't offer bagels).
"An absolute nightmare"
This place is disgusting - bleach stains on the carpet, broken furniture and broken window treatments. The room was HOT all night even though it was snowing outside, and we had turned the heat off. The workers at the front desk were drinking (and loud and drunk) all night, and when I asked for an extra towel, the clerk told me he did not know where to find one. We were kept awake by a couple loudly fighting and smoking outside our window. The water in the room is labeled as "not suitable for pregnant women and infants." The whole place smells gross.

I recently attended a wedding held at the Elizabeth Inn. The layout of the reception hall was perfect, bartenders were very friendly & quick to serve, the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were great for the price. Unfortunately, the meal was horrid. The prime rib was very thin, over done & cold, the fish was over-cooked & the top was so crispy that I couldn't even chew it. The Cornish game hen had almost no meat on it. And the children's chicken tenders & fries....Ha! My daughter bite into one & spit it right back out. It'll actually broken into pieces it was so over cooked. The fries too, they were completely hollow. If this hotel could get betters chefs, it would be a great place to have a wedding reception.
"Budget Hotel (not budget prices) needing work"
04/14/13 TTA2006 Appleton, Wisconsin
We were guests at Elizabeth Inn recently for a basketball tournament and had several rooms booked for our group. In addition to needing several rooms, we wanted a hotel with a conference room for all of the families to gather in for meals that said, our options were somewhat limited. This hotel was selected as they had enough rooms available, offered a conference room for a $200 charge, continental breakfast and were accommodating when the rooms were booked. Rooms were around $100/night to $140/night with taxes. We were aware this was more of a budget hotel from the photos and some comments we saw online (though for $100 a night isn't exactly a cheap hotel) so expectations were set for "budget hotel" (no frills, but basics like clean, everything functioning, etc.). Building: First impression, the exterior looked like it needed some maintenance. The sign for the hotel was on a wooden post on the ground and had Christmas lights around it. Not exactly what I would have expected. The hotel staff was not dressed appropriately for working in a customer service role. In fact you couldn't tell who was a guest versus who was an employee. The front desk area, bathroom off the entrance and pool area was nice. However, there were several areas of the hotel that had a bad smell. Some people in our group ran to the store to by dryer sheets and room deodorizer to spread around to help the smell. Rooms near the pool were moldy/musty smelling (to the point it caused you to have sinus issues and cough), and rooms near the end of the hall smelled like urine. This may have been due to toilets that were leaking. Some people in our group said their toilets were very wobbly and would tilt when you sat on them. Rooms: At first glance the room appeared ok for a budget hotel, closet, table & chair and 2 beds. Some issues with our room included a broken door frame and the door didn't close properly and when it was closed you could see into the hall around the frame. The door also had a hole punched half way through it. There were some cracks in the walls and you could see area's that hadn't been vacuumed and drywall was crumbled onto the floor. When getting ready for bed I noticed one of the pillow's didn't have a pillow case on it. Others the group had issues with cracks in the walls, and heating and cooling issues. Our room was so warm that we slept with the window open all night - even though it had no screen, and it snowed that night. We had the heating/cooling unit on cold and high fan, but it didn’t do anything. In the morning several others said it was either way too hot or too cold and the heating/air conditioning units weren't working. In the daylight we investigated and found there was a floorboard heater below the in-wall room heat/air unit that was turned to high. We found a dial on the end of it (you had to crawl under a table to see it). We turned that down to low and the temperature was much more tolerable. I don't know that the wall heating/air conditioning unit was working at all. In the morning we went to take a shower (around 6:30am) and only had cold water in the shower. The water that came out of the shower also had flakes of metal or some material in it. We called the front desk and they said they would call in a maintenance person and assured us it would be resolved later that day. 3 of us had to shower so we ended up having to take a shower using cups of warm water passed from the sink to the bathroom. This was frankly unacceptable for a hotel room that we were paying $100/night for. Sunday morning we went to take a shower and had the same problem again, NO hot water! We again had to use cups of water from the skink and on the 2nd shower the sink was also running out of warm water. By the 3rd shower the only option as to take an ice cold shower. When we talked to the front desk at check-out about the issue, the gentleman responded “yeah, we have a few rooms that don’t have any hot water”. That was it! Charges: Our room rate was supposed to be $79/night for a “double room”. We were charged $89/night + all of the applicable taxes which came to just over $202. When we told the associate at the desk that we were quoted $79 a night, he said he would have to talk with a manager about it. We said ok. He stood there for a moment and then he said “well, do you need me to talk to one”? We said Yes, as we were quoted $79/night and you are charging us more. He then walked away for a minute and came back and said ok, here’s $10 back…we said its $10 less per night. He then just handed us a $20 bill. He did not recalculate our bill, which included taxes on the higher rate. This is very unprofessional and resulted in us still over-paying. In addition to booking rooms for our block we paid $200 for a conference room for us to gather in and eat in as a group. For the fee we would have expected they would have (at a minimum) took out the garbage. When we returned to the room on Saturday evening (after being gone all day at basketball games), the room still had garbage bags over-flowing from the night before. It also had Pizza pans with pizza on then from the pizza we ordered the night before from the hotel. This seems very inappropriate for a room we were paying for. Breakfast: The continental breakfast was out of several items by 8:15 in the morning. With large groups they should have been able to plan better for food. Management: I did sent an email to the manager of the hotel explaining the issues we encountered and they offered to refund us one night stay and apologized for the issues noting that they are undergoing renovations. I think they should avoid renting rooms they know have issues and need to better coach their staff on how to address issues as well as addressing cleaning issues. I would not recommend this hotel until their renovations are complete and some changes can be addressed with the staff.
"Great value and location"

Pleasant surprise, great hotel and location for weddings. Friendly staff who go the extra mile for guest satisfaction. Comfortable and clean rooms, seems like hotel has been upgraded recently. Good value for money compared to the other options in the area.

Held a wedding renting the hall for 3 days. Was great for out of town guests to be able to gather in the lounge area of the hall Friday night. Wedding and reception on Saturday and gift opening Sunday morning. Rooms were clean, however in need of new carpeting. We toured the facility a year ago with booking and very visable wear and tare had taken place. Did have the heat on for the first time this year and had burnt smell, would recomend in future do a purge on the heating system during the week when not so busy to disrupt guests. Higher hooks/bars for hanging long dresses so they don't hit the floor. Would like to see hotel staff in uniforms, at least matching polo shirts w/ logo and name tags for a more professional look. Food - family style - A+ for flavor and was served hot. The one complaint from our guests were the servers did not come around to see if refills were needed. There were a few no shows so food quantity should not have been an issue. A + for ease to work with and meeting our needs for the wedding festivities, even a few last minute unexpected changes. Would use again.
"ok for last minute stop"

Husband, son and I had to stay overnight (saturday) in the Plover area due to car trouble and this was the only hotel that had a room available with two beds. The location is convenient - right off the highway - but other than a gas station and 2 restaurants - there is not much else in the area. Was a bit dismayed to see all the negative comments about the hotel- after we had already checked in - but we really had no other options anyway. The INN had only one room left - as there were youth sports teams, parties, and a wedding also at the hotel. We were given a "poolside" room on the second floor. I would not recommend a poolside room. There is no window and the door leading to the pool area has only a window blind - so the room can not be made very dark. Before we got the air conditioner going - we could smell the chlorine in the room. We did hear a some noise from the large number of kids in the pool around 9 pm - but the pool does close at 11 pm - so we were not kept up all night. The pool and hot tub are nice size and decent temperature - but the room they are in has seen better days. When we arrived at 5 pm we went in the pool for a short time and it was fine, although the area was very dirty from trash and towels left by previous users. We went to dinner and then went back to the hot tub around 8 pm. Apparently in the meantime, someone had cleaned the area and must have tried to treat the hot tub - because the chlorine fumes were so strong we had to get out after only a couple of minutes. Our eyes were actually watering. The next morning signs were posted announcing the pool was closed. The beds are the typical older style hotel firm mattress. Unless you really like a firm mattress, by morning you feel like you have bedsores. The room was not filthy - no feces that I could see -but still could have used a more thorough vacuuming - maybe move the furniture around a bit and clean under it. Room included a table and 2 chairs and a cabinet with an older stye TV - no flat screen. Regular channels only - no movie channels. The shower was good- plenty of hot water and good spray. The towels are thin and small. When we checked in - no one told us the pool towels had to be picked up from the front desk - so initially we used our bath towels. When we called for more towels - we were told to come to the front desk to get them ourselves. When we first arrived we had trouble with the air conditioner - fortunately it turned out to just be a blown fuse - but that room would have been unbearable without it. No elevator that we saw - so get a first floor room if you can't carry your suitcase up the stairs. We were able to walk over to a so-so family restaurant for dinner- but it closes at 8 pm - so don't go too late in the evening. The breakfast room is tiny - we did get going pretty early in the morning - so we did have a place to sit. Breakfast is juice, couple of cereals, donuts-not even the belgian wafflemaker found in so many other places. It does appear they are doing remodeling - we saw a lot of insulation stacked in another room - so maybe it will get better with time.
"Better than I expected"
08/16/10 SnarkyOne2 Chicago, Illinois
After reading the previous posts about the mice feces and other problems we were all so skeptical that my mother in law called and spoke to the general manager. We went up there for a wedding and surprisingly was shocked at all they had done to this hotel!! We could tell that they were under going some remodeling and everything really nice. The young blonde girl behind the counter was VERY NICE!!!!!! She helped us out SOOOOO much!!!!! Whereas the old lady coulnd't do more than one thing at a time and was very rude to us the young blonde was a sweetheart and went out of her way to make us happy. The one complaint that I had was that their water was not suitable for infants. That bothered me. Other than that I was quite surprised about the hotel and if I ever have to go up there again (which I'm crossing my fingers I won't) I will stay there and I do recommend this hotel to others. Oh btw the new management started less than a month ago.
