"VERY DIRTY ROOMS"
I have never been in a dirtier room. There was so much dirt on the floor we had to wear our shoes and sock the entire time. There was a lot of hair that was not mine in the sink and on the towels. The pool was SO cold we couldn't get used to it and had so much dirt in the bottom you could make a sand castle. The hot tube did not work and you could see […] the scum floating in it. We know they had not cleaned the room for a while because we found money on the floor. The lady at the front desk was helpful but only had one day of training. I thought the motel was showing signs of age. The stairs haven't been vacuumed. The exercise equipment had ripped cushions. This place has now become a residence for migrant workers who had grills and were cooking outside. There was also a pile of crushed beer cans on the lawn next to the motel. Even though the price was good, don't think I'll stay […] there in the future. The room was clean, but the place struck me in general that it was dog-earred and in need of a good going over. It was a okay place. Was surprise just to see blinds on windows no curtains to make the room dark when sleeping during the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms are the highlight"
Older hotel that needs some serious renovation, rooms were decent however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The condition of our room was not very good. The carpets and chairs were dirty and stained and we made sure not to go barefoot on the carpet. There were many dogs in other rooms and the barking was not what I wanted to hear. I can say the bar was okay and the food good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The beds were firm enough and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. The whole place needed intense updating. The breakfast was not the best. They ran out of things. This might be due to the front desk clerk having to trend to the breakfast bar and desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cleanliness an issue"
Used towels in bathroom - bedding in one bed did not seem fresh, other bed was fine. Could not cool room down - very humid. Front desk staff could not be bothered to stand up, rather scooted around area on desk chairs with wheels.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Elizabeth Inn & Convention Center Dear Guest-We were undergoing renovations as we are making improvements to the property. We appreciate your feedback and the problem that you notified us of has been fixed. We hope to see you again at Elizabeth Inn and look forward to serving you!
Friendly helpful staff, cozy room. Things are a little outdated but everything is clean and functional. It's a cozy rural and affordable place to stay with conveniences like Kwik Trip, a fantastic family restaurant right there. And the towns of Plover and Stevens Point just a short drive away. Only thing that could use direct attention is the part of […] the roof that pours water onto your head if it's raining and you're trying to get into Door A. Overall, nice quiet place. checked in took a quick look around, everything screamed needs an overhaul. not sure if any updates had been done since it was built, rugs in hallway worn, the metal railing in the pool area rusted, the hotel had an odor of old and cigarette smoke. was very disappointed checked out and stayed in another hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
Booked this place for a weekend stay through expedia at a promotional rate for about half the going rate of other hotels in the area. Story is that this place has new ownership since october of 2013 when we arrived at the hotels location it looked ok from the exit of i-39 . Once inside the placed appeared to be nothing more than your average worn out […] hotel it got worse from there staff lacks trianing and knowledge of hotel operations. when we got to our room it was very small with a queen size bed in it had to step around each other all weekend appears that they are shuffling rooms around to do some remodeling.Understandale because it is way over due our bathroom had a hole patch on one of the walls that was never sanded or painted which was pretty much the standard of the work being done throughout the place started but not finished. seem to keep seeing and hearing of problems from the other guest.my advice spend the extra money and enjoy your stay somewhere else best of luck to the new ownership. Everything acceptable. Not fancy, good enough. They had some outside electric outlets they allowed me to use.Genuine Expedia guest review

Older Hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Great water pressure in shower. Good pool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok for a cheap one night stay"
Rooms really need some fixing up. Beds are literally about 1 1/2 ft. off the floor. There were a coup like e things I thought were unique..pool table in a guest area and they don't require you to provide your credit card if you already paid in advance. Rates were reasonable but I don't think we will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is under new ownership and construction and repair went on the entire weekend we were there. Bar area has been opened up and is much more guest friendly. The mattress was new. Still just two pillows for a King bed but they would provide more if requested. Check in went quickly and smoothly. At the current price it is a great deal.Genuine Expedia guest review
The lights wouldn't work. The carpeting was stained. Not a lot of towels. The room looked very old.Genuine Expedia guest review

the matress on the beds were old and saggy. Otherwise it was a good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK, but not highly recommended."
The Staff were pleasant and helpful. I was disappointed that the room had no refrigerator or microwave. Most of the carpets were spotted & stained, giving the impression that they are infrequently cleaned (or at least never shampooed). Some walls also appeared to have water damage. However, the room smelled fresh and clean and the temperature was very […] comfortable without the need to adjust or listen to a loud air-conditioning unit. The showerhead also emitted a high-pitched whistle that was very obnoxious. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not so much..."
I should have turned around when I pulled into the driveway...it's pretty clear that the owners/management take no pride in the appearance of their property. I reluctantly walked in and went past a bar area and to the reception. I checked in and had no problems getting my room key and the staff was nice. Found my room and walked in...it was quite apparent […] that I did not get one of their "fancy" upgraded rooms as they show online, mine was more out of a horror flick. No room darkening blinds, so a floodlight lit up my room all night (in hindsight, not such a bad thing). The bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows were a joke The bathroom vanity had whiskers on the faucet and there was a nice little note on the mirror informing me that the water was NOT safe for infants to drink. Never took a shower because the tub had so much dirt/soap scum build up in it, I'm pretty sure it would defeat the purpose of a shower. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Room was in Disrepair"
Toilet was not sturdy - it rocked while sitting on it Vertical window shades were falling off Air conditioner was noisey Overall everything looked like it need some kind of repairGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in that motel room about 15 minutes while we frantically looked for another motel online. The lobby is dark, dingy, and felt unclean as did the room we were given. The mattress in the room was very bad. Air conditioner was not working. It took the two service desk people 5 minutes to acknowledge us even though we were the only other people […] in the room. We didn't stay there even one night and left within a half hour after arriving. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Plover location desired"
Mattress needs replacement. Room rug needs cleaning bad Main hotel entry aisle rug thread bare WIFI did not function properly, finally gave up Room sink needed attention Breakfast as bad as ever experiencedGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed here previously and had a fairly decent room. This time plumbing issues in both sink and shower. I like to frequent non-large corporate places but this needs so much of an upgrade that I won't stay there again until they do so.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I'm from Texas and was in WI for work. I figured this place would be good for the time I was planning on staying. Thit hotel is so bad it's not even funny. Upon arrival we had dog hairs all over our room & bed. I bought my own sheets & within the week realized our room was infested with dust mites. After asking daily for days we had our mattresses swapped out. We then endured a week no air conditioner & another room was not an option. So we had to wait until maintenance had a chance to swap air conditioner out. The only thing they had right was breakfast. (combination of pastries, fresh fruit, waffle mix, etc) Soon after new management came in & fired everybody. New employees were no better. Breakfast was now limited to plain bagels and apples. And they seemed to not change out waffle mix because it tasted rotten. Syrup even had mold where it wasn't cleaned daily. So we never touched breakfast area again. Aside from that we were prohibited from getting breakfast according to new manager. Although in our extended stay rules it clearly states breakfast is included. But we didn't want their rotten food so I didn't fight it. This hotel can hire & fire as much as they want. But this place needs a complete remodeling. And management who knows how to run a hotel. Until then I will not stay here ever again.
"Gordon Ramsey needs to visit Elizabeth Inn."

Started out bad, supposed to have the whirlpool suite, upon check someone else was in our room, they gave us a Queen bed instead at a discounted rate which we found out was not a discount at all. AC\Heat unit did not work in first room, so we had to move us to another room. Rooms looked like the rooms Gordon Ramsey brings his own sleeping bag to sleep in. Out dated, holes in the wall. Had to take a shower when I got home because I felt dirty after staying in the room. I would not even let my dogs sleep in the rooms.

The Elizabeth Inn was a great deal for me. The décor is dated, but the new owner is making updates and improvements and is off to a good start. While the hallways are in need of new carpeting, the room itself was clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean and modern. I did not use the pool or whirlpool while staying there, but I did go into the area before checking out to feel the water temperature for future reference. The pool and whirlpool were warm and clean. The free breakfast was nice and there was adequate seating. Coffee was available all the time! Most of my stay was spent outside the hotel, so I felt like this hotel was perfect for my needs. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room had a bad sour smell to it, like an old dish rag. The carpeting was filthy and nasty to walk on in your bare feet. There was mold on shower curtain. The continental breakfast was a joke. The only positive I have to say is that the toilet flushed properly.
"Disgusting, horrible place to stay"
Hotwire bring me here. Hotwire tell me here is a 3 stars hotel. What a joke! The building like 100 years old.carpet is sting, old, never clean. Check in lady gave me the room at the end of the hall way on the first floor. She never tell me the hall way is that long so I can park my car in the back. A great strong Smokey Smell when the door is open. Carpet is so dirty u won't walk on it without shose. The bed has no support also the pillows, there r big stinky spot on the sheet, 3 or 4 different hairs on the pillowcase. Upstairs tolet is leaking to my bathroom ceiling. Horrible place. Check the picture.
"You couldn't pay me to stay there again!"

Honestly, this hotel was the worst I've ever been to. I'm not saying this because of one aspect. Literally, every aspect of this place was horrible. There was a crap in our sink! Yes, you read that right! A crap! I got my room refunded, but that was after the incompetent staff charged my card two more times trying to figure out how to execute a refund. A friend of mine had his wedding reception here, and I feel bad for him and his new bride. I didn't even want to take a shower in the morning because the hotel was so dirty. A friend of mine checked into her room and there were toe nail clippings all over the floor. Disgusting! Unless you want to catch some sort of suspicious disease, I advise you spend a few extra dollars and stay at the Best Western that's located across the street. This place needs to be condemned. How it passes any sort of health inspection is beyond me.

I was pretty disappointed. Elizabeth Inn has so much potential but there's no upkeep and it seems that a man who must be management at the front desk was VERY rude. Everything was very dirty. I saw feces in the sink of the room a friend was staying in. Smelled like cats lived there.

Just overall a gross un-safe place to stay. Staff was just terrible and the place was grungy and even had a warning that the water was un suitable for infants. There were more people living in the hotel then staying a night or two
"Old Bird, getting a facelift."
08/19/14 April J Eau Claire, Wisconsin
You could tell this is an older property that is in the process of getting a well needed facelift. The overworked front desk receptionist was very pleasant and made me feel welcome. On the second day of our visit, I encountered a man I believe to be the owner or region manager. He was a very rude, self centered man that had not appreciation for the fact that the receptionists had been working 12 hour shifts for weeks on end. He should feel blessed to have dedicated employees! Rooms where clean, carpets had just been deep cleaned. YES, I would stay here again. If you want an inexpensive hotel with basic amenities, this might be the right place for you. There is a pool!

Room smelled like smoke and other unidentifiable stinkiness, there was a laundry softener sheet hanging on the bathroom door to try to 'help' but only made it smell worse. Everything thing was stained (I'm going with stained, not just dirty for my own piece of mind). I'm not a squeamish person by nature, but I really did not want to touch anything. The mattress felt like it must have been circa 1932, by far the worst hotel bed I have ever slept on. The walls and ceiling were paper thin, when the person in the room on top of me walked across the floor it sounded like they might come through the ceiling. I strongly recommend you book elsewhere.
