Great service at this hotel! It was great to have my room "up in the trees!" I felt like I was sleeping on the edge of the jungle. The hotel room had a very "open air" feel. Downsides, were the numerous mosquitoes, but the mosquito netting over the bed helped, (except when the mosquitoes got inside the netting). If you're sensitive to mosquito bites, […] make sure you bring some bug spray in your checked bag. The Port of Spain airport took my bug spray in my carry on, so make sure its in your checked bag. Power was spotty during my stay, we lost electricity several times. Once due to a thunderstorm, which is understandable. The other time (for 2 hours) was a widespread island power outage. Internet and cable television were both out one night of my stay. The pool at the upper rooms was great! Overall, a great " boutique" style hotel. A wonderful part of nature. Awaking to the birds each morning, and falling asleep to the sounds of the frogs was lovely. Read more

The hotel was easy to find despite its overgrown sign. Check in and check out went smoothly with no hassle. Housekeeping was prompt and unobtrusive. However their uniforms need to be changed as they all seemed to be overly thin to the point of being see through. Hotel guests would have to rely on the modesty of the staff to avoid feeling any discomfort. Had […] breakfast everyday as part of our package and dinner on the first night only at Cafe Havana on our stay and it was well prepared. However, it lacked consistency as certain breakfast items had too much salt on certain days. The wait staff were prompt, but not overbearing, courteous and friendly. What would put their service over the top would be to introduce staff uniforms as each person wore their own clothes with varying degrees of success. Pool and beach facilities were were well maintained with an air of privacy on most occasions. Overall landscaping needs to be stepped up though, with overgrown trees, shrubs and vines encroaching on the facility. Also the spectacular view of the ocean from the pool was obscured by three palm trees, which we personally would have removed if given the opportunity to do so (chain saw anyone??). Overall, we would return in a heartbeat as it was a quiet, restful and very enjoyable experience. Read more

We had a great vacation in this hotel. They are very helpful and always ready to guide you through Tobago culture. I would recommend to take a guided tour in the first days, for instance the water falls and the rainforest. You Will see beautiful landscape and amazing beachs. Our stay at the Bacolet Beach Club was wonderful. When we entered our room, petals were on the bed and in the bathroom. The room was exactly as we saw on the website. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. The view from the balcony was incredible and tranquil. All the staff was friendly. Half Moon Blue has great ocean views, an awesome pool (that we had all to ourselves!), & a lovely beach with over-hanging palms. I stayed at the junior penthouse room which was wonderful and comfortable. The downside to the room is that it has many stairs to get too so don't bring loads of luggage. The wi if connection is not very strong in this room, it keeps on disconnecting (wish I knew that before I booked). Cable television was not working for most of my stay. Having seen beautiful photos of the hotel online, when we arrived at Half Moon Blue the reality didn't quite live up to our expectations. We did have a 4 poster bedin our 'blue room' but other aspects were lacking. The bathroom had a sliding door, but unfortunately the door was broken. Even if the door had worked, a frosted glass door in front of a […] toilet hardly provides anything that could be described as privacy. The toilet flush kept catching, and the toilet would regularly carry on flushing until I opened up the back of it myself and rummaged around inside. This is a pain to do, and is exactly the sort of household chore that you go on holiday to avoid. The shower and the rest of our room may have been cleaned prior to our arrival, but if so it was rather a long way in advance because there were spiderwebs as well as a combo of live and dead insects scattered around the room. We were also irked by the lack of privacy we had. Whilst it was lovely to have lots of daylight pouring in through the windows, they had very translucent net curtains. This meant that at night, if you turned the lights on in your room, everyone who walked past could see exactly what you were doing. Great when there's no door to the bathroom.... when the rooms above us were occupied you could hear absolutely everything through the ceiling, walking = stomping and you could hear entire conversations. wifi was not actuallly available in rooms and the tv didnt work when it rained Read more

Tobago in general isnt really a luxury travel desitnation which is both charming and frustrating. The hotel is consistent with the rest of the island. Good points Really Nice people, good buffet breakfast, nice view. Bad points - check in was inefficient, minimal facilities

Rauhallinen sijainti, omalla uimarannalla. Huone yhtä hyvä kuin nettisivuilta saatu käsitys - mukava ilmapiiri, sopivan pieni hotelli. Erittäin hyvä aamiainen sisältyi hintaan ja mahdollisuus hyviin ravintolapalveluihin muutenkin. Saaren parhaimmille rannoille kulkeminen vaatii oman auton vuokrauksen/taksin.

Personligt och charmigt med den mest vidunderliga utsikt över Carribean Sea. Ett lugnt och familjärt hotell med utrymme för vila och avskildhet . Våra ungdomar sa "att vi kunde inte ha bott bättre"! Vi hade naturen runtomkring och promenadavstånd in till Scarbourogh. Om vi ska prata om nackdelar så var det nog att det var långt till närmsta restaurang […] för att få variation på middagarna. Très bonne impression de l'hôtel. La chambre était belle et très grande et la terrasse aussi, avec vue sur la mer. On nous avait installé un lit pour bébé, comme nous l'avions demandé et nous avons pu nous installer dès notre arrivée matinale de l'aéroport. La chambre était pratique puisque nous disposions d'une petite cuisine avec bouilloire et frigo […] (sans moyen de cuisson), très pratique pour l'intendance de bébé. Nous avions le choix entre deux piscines ou une très belle plage privée, surplombée d'un bar. Le personnel était très sympathique. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour et c'est avec plaisir que nous y retournerons. Le seul point important est qu'il faut louer une voiture, car l'hôtel est un peu loin des commerces. Il est néanmoins possible de manger au restaurant de l'hôtel, mais qui est assez cher pour une qualité correcte. Bref, une adresse à retenir et à recommander! Read more

Très bon sejour nous avions une suite privé avec vue sur mer. L'hotel n'est pas attrayant de l'extérieur mais quand on y entre, l'accueil, la propreté des locaux et l'espace nous séduisent. Nous avons été décu par l'offre du petit déjeuner proposé par hotel.com et qui n'était pas proposé par l'hotelier et qui ne figurait pas sur notre réservation. Et helt greit boalternativ, når en ikke ønsker å bo i bomaskiner. Forholdsvis stille og rolig, men også litt anleggearbeid på holtellet også på søndager fra kl 0800. Et eldre hotell med sjarm.

Fint hotel i stille og roligt kvarter med en "næsten" privat strand. Vi vil klart anbefale dette hotel til gæster uden børn. Meget hjælpsom eger og personalet mødte os altid med godt humør. Leje af bil direkte fra hotellet og med en fin restarant hvor der kan indtages god morgenmad, frokost og middag så er vores ønske om afslappende ferie indfriet.
